trissie, I hope you get lots of sleep tonight! My craziest road trip - when we lived in Texas, I roadtripped back to Illinois at least once - completely by myself. I remember one trip with a barely 3yo (mostly potty trained) and a 1yo, 1030 miles, 2 days driving 1 way. I did all the driving, all the kid care, the hotel overnight - everything by myself. Then, I turned around and did it again to get home.
CL, I don't think our students are afraid to come to our school. Our school is the source of their student visas for many of them --> they are required to attend a certain # of class hours/ week. I've heard some are a little afraid of walking around in public, but I don't think they're illegal. I think they're afraid of being profiled. Foreign student issues have affected (and will affect if they continue) dh much more as he is an engineering professor in a university (UM) program that attracts top students from all around the world. He runs a large lab, actually more than one, and most/ all of the grad students and post docs are from other countries, mainly Asian countries. (S. Korea and China figure strongly) It's not that he's snubbing American students; there just aren't many American students sending in applications to his area of research. I'm going to try a natural remedy that the Dr. said was just as good as the prescription. If that doesn't work, I'll go with the prescription. It's also not clear that this is fungus vs. damaged toenail bed/ trauma to the big toes.
Bama, I didn't know you had so many cats! And it sounds like they're all orange or yellow. Yes, it's great that the hostages have been freed. Hoping the future will be better for all. My friend ML, to whom I owe an email reply, lives in Israel, so I can hear from her how things are! She's not a fan of Bebe, but I'm sure they're all elated at the release of the hostages.
