Ds literally proposed in a hot air balloon, maybe about 18 years ago.
Dsonil proposed in the middle of a frigid stream where gem-hunting is a part of a (state?) park experience, but where a mis-step could have been a pretty miserable thing, lol. (perhaps not dangerous, necessarily)
I think any photos were definitely after the fact. I remember dd's nose was red in their selfie afterward.
One thing about HRH's proposal to me, there was a floor to catch the ring if he'd dropped it. (smile)
I've dropped out of the visitation rounds to colorists. But, yes, what had once been an every-6-week thing had gradually become an every-four-week and almost every-three-week thing. The (cool color of) gray roots had looked unappealing against the (warm color of) brown, but allover salt-gray-against-pepper-gray is surprisingly normal looking when I see a mirror. Like I have told ya'll before, I look into a mirror and sort of see my mother, so... .. not so bad.
Heating saga :
HRH is so happy. We seem to be getting indoor temp up normally, and just in time for dark. I've called ds and ddolder to let them know we probably won't need any intervention tonight after all. There was a train of thought that had us sleeping in dgsJ's room on the twin beds there and J being displaced to an air mattress, maybe. So glad no one has to make special arrangements.
A series of confusing automated phone calls and online messages from one of my doctor's offices has been resolved. The storm's electrical on-and-off caused some kind of a meltdown on their auto-communication, suggesting several lab tests, etc., were due by Wednesday, and were my responsibility. Um... .. no. Nurse called and said I'm completely caught up, so ignore. Thank goodness.
