Today I walked the dogs for a little extra time and did my arm weights.
The scale shows I’m down 3 lbs this month but it’s probably water because I WAS down 5 lbs Sunday but 2 have found me again.

Freddie bit me at the weekend, so I'm currently on two different antibiotics,.one of which has to be taken 3 times a day. On the plus side, each has to be taken with a full glass of water, so I shouldn't have any difficulty reaching my water target this week! :lol:

Checking in;
I did the wall push ups and used the #2 lb. wts for some arms exercise last evening.
Did my walk earlier in the day.
Stairs too.
Did my stretchy cords to try to get used to them some standing and some sitting just a few of each.
And I did a few up downs as well.

DH has expressed a willingness to give up his high carb, high sugar way of eating. IMHO, his memory problems might not be totally caused by these foods but there is preliminary data that show dementia is influenced by them. They have nicknamed it Type 3 diabetes.
ANYway, it seems overwhelming to me to make this switch in his food choices but I am 100000000000% in agreement with his decision.
I have cooked multiple ways over the years so that part doesn't seem daunting to me. I don't think DH is aware of just how high of carbs that he eats every day. So my plan is to make small adjustment and swaps.

** Instead of a whole bagel I gave him 1/2 of a bagel with a cheese stick.
** His big scoop of strawberry jam doesn't have a replacement. I did add some extra butter to his half of a bagel.
** Instead of pepperoni, I switched him to uncured Canadian bacon. It is 1/2 the calories, twice the protein and minimum ingredients.
** His Sunny D drink has been replaced with Chobani yogurt drink.

Small swaps. It is a start.

Lady M, your DH is o fortunate to have you to care for him. I'm sure changing his diet to more healthy foods can only be a good thing. 😀

Hi everyone ! Mid-month check-in.

My 5 daily habits :
MR - basic morning routine - Move C/W - either Cardio or Weights, daily - MicroMove - tiny times of movement at payroll or during the day - Time for me - to read, maybe write, maybe think, maybe journal - K - pelvic floor exercises. 1 minute minimum, at bedtime.

Counting the score as of today, mid day :
