I do appreciate being able to jump in when I can. My appointment times are all booked again but today I better book my day off cause ds autism assessment is on a work day and it only happens when they come closer so I can't pick which weekday.

Next one I have to book is something to deal with my neck again. I could and maybe should just cause book with my massage therapist. But really it needs chiropractor or maybe physio. If I can get into the good one. I'm so done with living with headaches.

Ok I'll admit I do need to up my water intake. I did get exray a couple years ago and nothing is visible there. It's all muscle. Need a different pain killer again.

I possibly could have triggered it yesterday. Trying really hard to get out of merchandising at work because moving shelves around can do it and working up high. To no avail when the kids that were supposed to learn that don't come to work. I did minor adjustments to 3 aisles yesterday while back up till.

Anyway get up. Drink some water. Eat something and take some pain killer... maybe I can get going on time for dh.

Why do i focus on what I am not doing well? I didn't sleep well last night and I ate too much while needing to stay up during the night. Why was I up during the night a bit stressed? Because I am raising teenagers and life with teens is always an adventure.

Contrast that with what I did well yesterday. I got my protein in. I hit 14 out of 14 hours of moving my body again. I limited the number of calories that I ate during the middle of the night. I remained calm, no drama and kept a good relationship with teens. Losing a few hours of sleep once in a while is not a big deal and I don't want to let my thoughts treat it like it is. Overall, I had a great day yesterday with a minor bump in the road.

The journey continues today with high hopes, clean slate and fresh start.

That is such a good point lady m. Thinking about what we did right not what failed. Oh can I spiral when I dwell on my failures. I do lots of things right as well. Way to go on staying positive with the teens. I was rather spoiled with the teens stage but now I'm in the caretaker for parents stage and I need to edit my attitude there and try to be more positive. That's a huge part of healthy habits.

Other healthy habit i need to focus on atm is my neck. I have chronic neck and shoulder pain from an old injury. I am sort of slowly finding out what triggers it. I've had exray a couple years ago and it's all muscle. Occasionally I see a massage therapist and once in a while dh has developed a really good technique. Never fixes it but I have put that all on the side for the parents health. Now things are stabilized as much as possible. I need to get help for that so I can get off the constant pain killers.

Health priorities

Gradual solution for chronic pain
Keep up with my own appointments
Manage my thoughts and negative outlook
Healing from the physical mental spiritual burnout

Continuing to tweak my healthy habits and focus on what works for my body. I went to bed earlier last night and slept well. I woke up a couple times during the night to check on teens. As I walked through the house, Sam saw me through a window and let me know that he had been left outside. That alerted me to something being wrong because DS16 and Sam are inseparable. I found DS16 asleep with his bedroom light on. He fell asleep before bringing Sam back into the house from a potty break. All's well that ends well.
