lucylee have you given thought to your McDonald's breakfasts?
Did you know the apple pie is better for you than the cinnamon melts?

0.0 starches - Coffee, black
0.0 starches - Tea, unsweetened (mixture of green-n-black tea) which I drink until supper

LucyLee - I hear ya on what we DIDN'T eat. I was just thinking about this yesterday...... I should keep a log of what I wanted to eat but chose not to because I didn't want to have to write it down and post it here.

I didn't eat breakfast pizza with DGS's

I didn't eat any of the birthday cake

I didn't eat any of the ice cream

I didn't eat any of the donuts next to the coffee machine at church

I didn't eat any of the fig newtons that I fed LO (to keep him quiet during church)

I didn't eat any of the French Fries that DGS's kept trying to share with me.
August Daily Starch Tally -
6.9 starches daily (averaged) = 1st week of August = 1.3 lb lost (averaged)
5.6 starches = 8 August = 2.2 lbs lost (comulative)

I know, I know,
Indiana...
I know... but I don't like apple pie... and it's just once a week...
BUT... I have considered buying the pecan twirls -- Little Debbie brand or something similar? Those are probably lower calorie than McD cinnamelts. I know... but I LOVE cinnamon rolls.
The mini wheats are GONE!!!

Hmmm
lucylee you are better off with 2 egg mcmuffins. Each one is 2 starch, 1 protein, and 2 fat. The cinnamon melts are 4.5 starch and 3.5 fat.
Go here to find some substitutes for cinnamon melts:
http://tracker.diabetes.org/explore/2050/
What about a mcD strawberry sundae or their cookies or a kiddie cone. They are better for you.
Little Debbies are 2 starch and 2 fat.
Or another option if you have to have them once a week what are you giving up on Sunday stay with in 10 starch and to make up the 4.5 starch and 3.5 fat.

Sorry lucylee I don't think today is a smart day for me to make comments. I won't delete them because last time you saw it before I deleted.
I'll do your #s for Saturday and Sunday.
I like the idea the OKay and you started - to list what you skipped.

I understand, Indiana... the cinnamelts are the worst of ALL the cinnamon treats at local fast food hamburger places. I don't know why dh is stuck on McD's...

I might start getting the Little Debbie's ahead of time if I know he is going there on Sat. mornings. Of course, can't buy them too much ahead of time -- I'd start eating them everyday like the mini wheats!
