Found these two books this weekend on our trip at a bakery cafe' that had used christian bookshelves and cook books too.

I got a couple new books at the thrift shop but have not started these yet.

Dangerous by Diana Palmer / has a cowboy themed romance paper back! LOL!

Laugh Again by Charles R. Swindoll

Oh yes and almost forgot 2 chickens mags. one called Back yard Chickens the other I'm done with and forget the title.

Have started Caleb's Crossing by Geraldine Brooks. Was reading Sweet Salt Air by Barbara Delinsky, and in that story the other book was mentioned--so I have to read it also!

I finished reading Horse Soldiers last night it was good.

Now reading Circle of Friends, another one by Maeve Binchy. I think I saw the movie, but don't remember much about it. After that, I have Rosemary Cottage by Colleen Coble. It is a Christian romance novel, by the looks of it. Looking forward to it.

I need a link for what are you reading I can't find the forum it is in.
This above mention book is great like a newer version of some of the she books or getting things done & covey planner approach a very timely ready for me. I finished my first e-book from the library. Still learning my Galaxy. Tablet 3 [I got a 7" size one.] there are some pros. & some cons. to it I'm glad I got it for mobile stuff and the camera! E- books are defiantly a learning curve for me! I went to the library and the gal helped me get going with their e-book application set up down load etc.

I just downloaded a book called The Metabolic Storm, by Dr. Emily Cooper, a doctor in Seattle with a practice there. It's an e-book, not a diet book, and it's very good and gets into the science of metabolism and how we can help ourselves. It sells for the Nook and Kindle, both. I saw a segment on KONG-TV a spin-off channel from KING-TV this a.m. when they interviewed Dr. Cooper.

Now reading The Glass Lake by Maeve Binchy. It started out very good, but now I am really annoyed by one of the main characters. Must keep reading...

Ellyphant, I have read Caleb's Crossing by Geraldine Brooks and liked it a lot. If you liked that, you should read People of the Book by her too. It's even better. It's the story of a Hebrew book and it's history as it was put together, goes through many eras, the spanish inquisition, and other periods. A little graphic in spots.

Helia, I've read 4 of Chaim Potok's books: The Chosen, Davita's Harp, The Gift of Asher Lev, and My Name is Asher Lev and liked them all. I just finished his Old Men at Midnight, which is a book of 3 longish short stories ( The Ark Builder, the War Doctor, and The Trope Teacher). 3 Jewish people tell their stories to Davita in totaly different ways. Spans at least 3 wars. I like his writings.

Just for fun I read Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne. A fun read.

I'm reading Jane Austin now: Northanger Abbey. Same theme, find the daughter a husband!
