Well I still haven’t stepped on the scale, just keep focusing on what I eat drink and move.

Yesterday I went to the beach for a couple of hours. Couldn’t get all my water in between traveling and such however did get in 60 ozs. Couldn’t count steps, but purposely treaded water for a straight hour while in the ocean with friends. I was totally surprised how much my gluts hurt this morning while doing my class.

Came home to terrible storms so I had to do some of my steps on my gazelle. I have a possible memorial this coming Saturday in Ft Lauderdale this weekend depending on the storms in the ocean. I have a someday dress that I love and can wear to that so I count that as my NSV

Mostly won’t win my bet, but have already signed up for the next one. I’ve done everything I could to win this one with only eating 7 cookies during the month for my cheats. There’s not much else I could have done, but I’m still not giving in

I've not been getting my steps in and wasn't able to workout last week. Nonetheless, my weight dropped very slightly this week. I have been eating more salads as a meal.

Fitbit has discontinued the internet interface that I've used for years to count my weekly steps. Don't know how many messages protesting on the the Fitbit forums but it's been a disincentive for me and I didn't make step count the past couple of weeks, and won't this week. I'm considering moving to Apple watch or other device but I don't like wearing a watch all the time.

Twins… I didn’t like wearing a watch all the time, but I love wearing mine now. I even wear it to bed because it tracks my sleep. I can check my steps during the day, which helps keeps me motivated, plus it tracks my heart rate.

It does my BP, but that’s really not actuate, but at least I know if it’s fluctuation. It tells me what I’m sitting too long, but I use that as a reminder to drink my water. My phone messages show up, but the writing is too little for me to read, but at lease I know to check my phone, and when I get a call it buzzes which is great cause I don’t always hear my phone.

I’ve had mine for over 1.5 years with no problems and it holds a charge for about five days. It quick to charge which is a plus and the face lights up at night when I shake my arm. Love it because I don’t have to reach my phone to see what time it is and if I shake it while I walk, there’s enough light for me to see my way to my bathroom if I need it.

I’ll have to check the brand, but I got it on Amazon for $35. Best money I’ve ever spent and you ac buy extra bands in a package of a rainbow of colors. After I retired I never wore a watch and swore I would never wear one again, but now if I don’t have mine on, I feel lost without it.

Btw there’s an app for your phone where your data is kept. I think it stores it up to a month. I just check mine daily so I don’t look to see how I’ve done that month, but I do use it for a weekly count.

Twins… the brand is Molocy Smart watch, but it says it’s currently unavailable. Good thing I bought a backup a while ago

I agree that Fitbit is on its way out. When google bought it they soon started removing and restricting the software. It seems every few months they dismantle another part of it. I find it sad but can't do anything about it because they obviously know from all the complaints. I won't be purchasing another fitbit. I will continue to use mine until it quits and then see what the best options are available at that time. The Fitbit app does give most everything the website did including the weekly step count average. But forcing users to switch from website to app is not a good business decision.....unless this is just another step in them doing away with Fitbit completely. I have already cancelled my Fitbit premium membership.

G armin has evidently reversed some of its unpopular changes. I can learn more about history again, and it seems to have become more intuitive now (again?). I have never been a good student of how to fully benefit from it, anyway. Just the basics. So, I'm not a very good judge, and am not very aware of others' opinions about it. A practical note about the (neoprene?) watchband - I seem to have developed a touch of contact dermatitis when I use it on the same wrist for more than a few days. Right at the loop that the notched part of the band feeds through to hold it down. I guess that's a slightly tighter point than others. Can usually avoid that by remembering to change wrists every day or every few days, which is no trouble. But it does give me pause.

Craving peaches for some reason, but grocery was out of them. Sigh. Neither of us likes the "white" peaches enough to buy them. I am determined to have some on my cold cereal sometime this summer, lol. I can just see it. Berries until then.

Rotating breakfasts between a hot or cold cereal, my big smoothie, and the mushrooms/peppers/onion/spinach in a scramble with tofu. I think I look forward to the scramble the most, but it does seem to take time at the stove. I have plenty of time to let my green tea steep.

I finally got on my scale and it has not budged in 5 days. Don’t know why but I’m not giving up. Got in my steps, water and ate right.

I’m going to a birthday luncheon today and have already looked at the menus so I know what I’m going to eat. Am quite puzzled by all of this… eating protein, veggies and a bit of fiber.. my wasa crackers … 40’calories for 2.

I lost 20 lbs on this eating plan several years ago so I know it works. I am cutting out artificial sugar… haven’t had a soda in three weeks and only 2 in a month… I use for my coffee. Just staying focused and keeping on keeping on

Don’t know why but I’m not giving up.
This is me too.
What used to work with almost no effort when I was younger is not working now.

I spent some time reviewing my July data. I recorded everything I ate to the best of my ability. I have incredibly good and reliable data IMHO.

Cronometer daily average in July
1378 calories
27% Protein 91g
32% Carb 100g
41% Fat 63g
Doing this in July resulted in a weight loss of 0.8lb
**sigh**
On the good side....I quit gaining weight. I have gained 6 lbs this year so getting that trend stopped, turned around and headed in the right direction is a huge win.

But If I want to lose more than 1 pound a month, I am going to have to make some more changes.

I want to continue collecting Cronometer data. I need that data to know how my body is responding to what I put in it. Now that I am used to entering data in Cronometer I spend less than 5 minutes a day on it. I want the facts, so it is well worth that daily effort.

August Cronometer focus will be on -
Calories - Drop by 100 calories a day so the first 2 digits shouldn't be over 12 (less than 1299)
Protein - Increase to over 120g and 40% of calories
Carb and fat can fall wherever. Increasing the protein should result in reducing them without intentional effort. I don't want to overwhelm or frustrate myself by trying to tweak too much at a time.

TAKE CARE OF MYSELF habits -
** Sleep - 7 hr 6 minutes.
** Hydration - over 100oz
** Morning Mile before coffee - Day #53
** Morning papers before internet - Day #28
** Cronometer with pictures- Day #27= 1327 calories.
** Golden Hour exercise before flavored ice - day #24
** Music = Joy - Day #20 = Eagles! LOUDLY
** Oral Care before D2S Day #7
