Dh was up early and wanted his coffee, so that is done and he's back in bed sleeping.

I have emptied the dishwasher, emptied 5 garbage cans and put a bunch of stuff in the sink to presoak before they go into the dishwasher.
I've also taken the clothes out of the dryer. I just have to put them away.

I have some cross stitch stuff on the ironing board that needs to go away.

It's windy and raining here. Lots of traffic reports of accidents due to drizzle and freezing rain. We can cancel our lunch reservation if dh wants to.

I also have 3 litter boxes that need to be cleaned.

Later...

Dishwasher is loaded. Roasting pan is clean. Dh had a shower, with assistance. I tossed out some stuff from the junk drawer. I have less than an hour before we leave for dh's doctor appointment. He's most likely going to have his last shingles shot and he's not looking forward to that due to how he felt after the first one. I also told dh that I will probably cry when I ask about getting a PSW. I really want the doctor to know how I feel about cleaning certain areas of dh's body and I "think" turning on the tears might help. I don't know. Dh will also be wearing his loosest (?) pants so he can show the doctor his legs.

LOL, Cathy, yes, Festivus! The airing of grievances especially!

Thanks for getting us started today!

Ta das:
-no fever, texted massage therapist so I'm going there at 10
-garbage out. Dh consistently forgets and they come so early! there's a grievance.

In addition: I didn't prep dh last night to take the cards/gift cards to dtrainers, so he didn't. And he didn't take the cards to take to the temple. So I need to do that. Right now I need to get ready for body work. Will need to be leaving soon

Good morning!

Trash and recycling reminder to all who may have a last chance at it!

Stash and Dash understanding and permission slip to all who may have a need for it!

There are no bad stash-and-dashes, only bad follow-up, so make a reminder to do that.

I've just put away all yesterday's laundry and drip dries.

Next up, perhaps a breakfast ahead of my 10:00 conference call.

d lady - i am so happy you shared about chiropractor damage - I have had a family member that has told us how much she loves her chiropractor but she continues to have problems all these years. I have thought of mentioning it to dd younger - now I won't.

hello all - feeling 100% better and positive. I have adjusted to dd's being gone (mom's very cheerful when they are around - especially dd older) and overthinking I "need" to be super cook for Christmas-how silly (to make that perfect Christmas Day for my family bc we aren't going anywhere). ;) Feeling 100 % better.

today:
bring up the rest of the presents -
make the few easy things for tomorrow party
laundry
shower for me - wash mom's hair
put away
set up stocking bags - to put in tomorrow night - I do that for mom dd's not dh or I
I might order a couple dishes for Christmas Eve. pick up a cake today for Christmas Day?
dailies no weeklies (it's nice to say that I can do dailies again after being sick the whole week)
dd younger and I make card for dd older's gift

tomorrow am: put presents for Christmas Eve - in car.

Well Hello…

Up and drank my coffee then did my morning routines. The I helped Sweetie with his shower and helped get him dressed.

Got his breakfast ready and then headed to the grocery store for last minute stuff.

Back home, taking a break and then need to make my cheese.. it’s a simple one this year. I am making baked chicken ziti for dinner tomorrow along with bread and a salad.

We had a home care service spend several hours with us yesterday and were pleased with them Sweetie really liked them so I’ll start using them after the first of the year.

I enjoyed my simple Christmas focus, and will continue tthis tradition again. My son called last night and we discussed things I want to do with the house now that Sweetie is rapidly declining. I am concerned that the doors that lead to the outside have a lever handle and I can’t bolt them from the inside.

I wanted to chance the handle with a bolt lock. But my son reminded me they use child proof handles on their doors so their kids can’t escape. Easy solution!

Also I want to install cameras inside for that so he will help me with that as well

Off to start my baking.. breath and enjoy your day. ❤️

Good morning, while it’s still morning! We seem to have varying degrees of hubbub, except Twins, who is past the hubbub — but still busy.

I am somewhat frustrated in my gift wrapping. DH and DD are both home and underfoot. I could at least work on DC’s gifts, but 1) DH has brought down all the wrapping paper except hers, and 2) some of her presents haven’t arrived yet. Normally, I would set up in the playroom where no one could see me, but the playroom is given over to our houseguest, R. However, R is not here, and has not been since yesterday. The driver friend, S, took R to her house. R was originally supposed to stay there but there were problems with the house. I suspect S has basically taken the opportunity to do an end run around her mom and have R stay there anyway. So I may set up in the playroom and just be ready to dash out of there if necessary.

I am planning to have DD make her baked potato soup for dinner — I’d better tell her that!

I slept in this morning, and tuned in to the Chicago NPR station to get the hour of Morning Edition that I’d missed — they mentioned Festivus in their local coverage.

I hope all goes well with the doctor, Cathy.

And I hope the massage goes well, Twins.

There are no bad stash-and-dashes, only bad follow-up, so make a reminder to do that.
How wise, Harriet!

Glad you’re feeling better physically and mentally, blessed.

Enjoy your baking, Rose! Such good ideas about your house!

Eek! It’s noon here! I have exceeded my self-imposed deadline, so I’d better get moving!
