New goals don't deliver new results. New lifestyles do. And a lifestyle is a process, not an outcome. For this reason, all of your energy should go into building better habits, not chasing better results.
James Clear
Are building better habits this year? Remember to share your results this fifty day of our new year!

While we do that share the happenings of your day in the village, we're all inspired by our new beginnings.

Not working on building this as a new habit, but would be worthwhile to do it. I'm already s2sed and heading out to get my hair cut! Some of a.m. routine done, dog walked, no breakfast yet.

Hi

Waiting with many folks, waiting to get stuck. HRH talks a long time with the valet guy. He is somehow an old friend to someone everywhere he goes. The guy gave us an easy number to remember on purpose. I highly doubt he's supposed to do that.

Thanks for requoteing that last night, lucylee. I had wanted to remember it. If you are seeing dgs laughing and talking with friends at school, etc., it sounds like he's settled in fine

Good morning!

Thanks, Twins, for starting us off. I see you and Harriet are already out and about. I don't have any plans to go out today, but I should be about my business. In addition to the dailies, I'd like to make a grocery list and finish setting up that treadmill. I also have to figure out where to put my desk for tomorrow. We are switching our internet and landline from the phone people to the cable people, who will give us a better deal. At least DH believes so, and certainly it sounds like the monthly bills will be less, but I've heard horrible things about their customer service. At any rate, the connections into the house are behind where the desk is now, but the Christmas tree is where the desk usually sits. I don't think I could have the tree taken down by tomorrow -- nor do I want to. We'll probably start taking it down Wednesday with the goal of having it out to the curb for Friday's pickup. The city comes and gathers them and mulches them. Then, again, DH may want to wait until next week, and I wouldn't mind.

I don't have anything much else going on, but I look forward to reading about your doings! Have a great day, everybody!

Morning…

Up early on purpose. Been to class… yay!!! Came home and worked on my morning routines. Got Sweetie up and is eating his breakfast. Heater is on in the bathroom getting that room extra warm for his shower.

Bought Sweetie some jogging pants and they showed up this morning. No buttons, zippers or belts to deal with

I have an appointment with my PT guy around noon and then I have a MRI for my ear later today. Not sure if it’s with die or not.

The bidet was also delivered but I think I will wait till tomorrow to install it.

Have two more drs appointments this week; one for Sweetie and one for me. Working on my planner ADHD Cleaning Planner. I bought sheet protectors to put my pages in. This way I can use dry markers to check things off with a dry marker and then reuse it again… especially fore daily and weekly routines.

I find that Sweetie is always interrupting me while I’m doing some thing and I forget where I was. The check list will keep me on task. I have a list going for a lot of decluttering to do, and the planner addresses that too.

New ways of doing old things. I’m looking forward to not bouncing all over the place while working around the house. My P&Pcards work will, but have a list on one page that I can check off is better with this new life with Sweetie.

Good morning

I was out of the house by 7:30 to take DD14r to school, and we’ve settled back into the school routine without any major issues. The new twist this year is that DS17 is working full-time from 9 to 5 and does his homeschool assignments at night. It’s his final semester of high school, with the last two credit hours—math and ELA—left to complete.

The kitchen was bustling as I packed DS17’s lunch, baked breakfast cupcakes with eggs, bacon, and cheese, toasted Hawaiian rolls for DH, prepped our drinks for the day, took out the trash, and cleared all the dirty dishes. I’ve got chicken defrosting to make chicken parmesan later today.

I need to make a couple phone calls. *POOF*

Tip of the day: Do what works.
Remembering what LucyL. wrote about goals and anchors in a diff. thread helped me
to reaffirm some of mine! Like washing my face when I first get up after getting dressed.
[ Took a PJ yesterday was unwell feeling. ]

Glad to be feeling better today is my one joy.

Yesterday I remembered that I really did a personal planning retreat.
I just took the morning and got started on that.
Worked some more this a.m. it is so much easier with a system that
has it already printed out instead of working on notes. Sigh but
that was not to be so starting from scratch some is for a diff. focus
any way. Found my journals with 90 -ish pages to use for the quarter.

Anchor point touching the "go" button on the coffee maker in the morning.
Others are in 5 min. I will... _______________ and then I get to do ________ a fun thing or reward.

Next up is to fill out my bujo top three etc. items.
I draw a box and put a dot in it when done. or * if it's in process or underway needs more time or got it .
Started.

Happy I did the floors this weekend so I no longer need to do that today.
This week need to make deviled eggs for dson's bday for got this weekend.
The good thing about that is the taste good anytime! LOL! He said that works for him.

I'm excited about getting the opening paragraph for a new writing project.
Thought of it while filling the coffee maker for my 2nd cup this morning.
Routines are so helpful!

Wins I was able to write out a list of pages I want to include;
got some progress and remembered to write 1/4 page for art & creativity
makes it so much more fun.

I'm coming back through with a fresh haircut. I look Mahvelous!

I have my workout at two today right back on schedule. Dh is home from a cardio appointment this a.m. He's having some testing done because his calcium score was higher than it should be. TV is on. And
I find that Sweetie is always interrupting me while I’m doing some thing and I forget where I was.
This is happening a whole lot with dh home so much. No bowling for him, shoulder is still resting. He has follow up for that on Friday, after MRI last Friday.

I need to have my brunch and get protein in before workout. I've already had berries and yogurt.

And the secretary of the HOA did a newsletter that was distributed last night reminding homeowners to pay dues. But online part isn't ready yet - gal who was supposed to change it hasn't done it ("my email is flooded right now Feel free to text"), and then last night she didn't make the full change. (In her defense, I didn't realize what else needed to be changed, but OTOH she's the webmaster. OTOH, it always seems half-done with her.) So I've had one homeowner pay the wrong amount online. So I'll have to straighten that out by requesting more $$ from the homeowner.

Nancy, my trainer does balance exercises while the coffee brews, but here we have a Keurig. I bet his coffee takes longer.

I think I found the place on the website to change out what needed to be changed....sent a text to the gal and asked her to check behind me when she had a chance. So I think I can go ahead and send invoices later. I also found an email update and changed that.

Heading to workout now.
