Tailoring a Tuesday for Your Home

How can you tailor this day to benefit your household?
What steps will make Tuesday live up to its reputation as the most productive day of the week?

Tailoring is about fitting to the needs, the size and shape, so it is important to remember that "one size fits all" isn't the whole story with our daily plans, even if guides can help. So give yourself grace as you ponder schedules and calendaring.

Maybe for some of us, actual mending, fitting or stitching of other kinds will be part of the day. Smiling to think of that.

Cathy, I hope the repair somehow works out and is not in the way of other plans at your house today.

Twins', I meant to say how kind of you to share with the 10-year-old who was so interested in your card making.

I awakened early after going to bed early last night. I think I was right to give up on the day. The sniffles went away in the night.

Have been working on planner, cards, and belatedly getting a handle on this day after "too much input" (and sneezing) yesterday.

My 5x5 is
Recycling, to include some large pieces
Extra laundry loads of drip dries and bath mat
Photos into Snapfish (not to meet deadlines)
Progress on sewing
Dust in bedroom

Also, I'm going to put some glorious sticker (smile) on yesterday's planner space, to remember the gratitude.
It's funny how after being told a dr thinks you feel better, you feel better.

I suppose, on the other hand, we also need to be careful that we don't let medical stuff convince us we don't feel well, when we sorta do! Perception doesn't equal our reality.

I'm listening to hear if we are still going out to eat for lunch. I imagine that could go either way.

I've put the dollars I owe ds and the socks I want to give dgdC into ddil's mini covered casserole dish they can pick up. So everything's collected and safe, money hidden. Explained to ds by phone. (socks are ladies, white and small-ish, from a gift bag at medical center - I never wear white socks but a kid in school always needs extras!)

Hi Harriet! Thank you for starting us off today!

I have already swept and mopped the hallway. Litter box is next. While I had the mop and bucket out I did most of the living room and the middle of the kitchen and most of the bathroom.

I need to go to a store to get more crunchy treats for the cats. There are none left in the house.

Morning…

Up early ready to start my day

Routines done including Sweeties care. Footprints are gone.
I have a bunch of Ariver boxes to cut up. Sweetie use to do that for me.

My island is covered with Ariver projects I need to put together. Will start working on that later. In the meantime Sweetie has an appointment with is PA. Need to get gas first. After we see the PA will make a quick stop at WM. Unlike when I lived in the desert, this one is really out of the way with a lot of traffic to get to it. This WM is close to the dr’a office so it makes it easy to go there.

Waving to y’all. BBL

I was up before seven a.m. - Is what Lucylee has contagious? I had set alarm for seven but was awake before so I got on up. I've piddled around so far, tho. Dh has gone to his workout, house is lovely and quiet.

I see massage therapist at 11:30 for body work. In a perfect world, I'd take care of some HOA odds and ends before then. I "most' the invoices emailed and made myself notes on what else I needed to do. There was the guy that partially paid, the ones whose fees were paid out of closing, and the family I don't have email for, although they turned up this a.m. needing website access, so I don't have to drop it off now. And I should be sure I sent them all. Going through to email one by one, with dh in the background sometimes lends itself to errors. Not going to make a deposit yet, although I can now do that online too.

I've been busy....I think I have Hanukkah put away, I straightened sweaters as I put some away. did a bit of straightening up in garage. Need to keep up momentum.

Three things
-HOA, be sure I sent all invoices, take care of the three odd ones
-time upstairs, budgeted 5 hours for research/writing/deciding on publishing focus
-camp scholarship info for dh, send to temple trustees and prez

Waving to everyone! Thank you Harriet for starting us out!

apple tart is in the oven for mom
I started to make (half of) a french toast rasp casserole - spilled half of the egg mixture - so I tried to do what I can - I will see if it worked but at least I tried.
now for the raspberry sauce for the French toast. I thought that I would try something different for mom and I - I like that she is eating well again.
men are meeting about the addition - they went in the basement and are now in the back room.

7 am it must have been a theme today - I too got up at 7! set the alarm for 6:30 but got up at 7pm ;)

Good morning! The joint is jumping today!

DC apparently has whatever lucylee and Twins have -- they're up and about without any prodding.

Trying to get this in while we still have internet; the Spectrum people are supposed to arrive between 11 and noon to do the changeover. (Unless, of course, they're like Cathy's appliance guy.) I am not looking forward to teaching all our devices a new wifi and password.

Glad Harriet's sneezes are gone; gladder she got so many "betters" from the doctor!

(((blessed and family))) Glad to hear your mom is eating well -- in both senses; raspberry French toast casserole sounds yummy!

Tailoring is such a good metaphor, Harriet! It's been interesting the past few days to hear how everyone is using different methods and tweaking them to suit their needs.

Waving to Rose on her errands!

Big task for the day is working on the grocery list. Yesterday, I cleaned in the bedroom -- you can see the floor, and I can access all the drawers of my dresser. I'm so proud of myself. But first, the dailies -- which means laundry!

I've gone to the store and picked up crunchy cat treats and a case of food. Dh needed a lemon and I also got a large bag of larger onions. The last bag I bought had small onions, which are too small. We like onions and I use at least one a day.

I sprayed febreeze in the hall and removed the cat box entirely. They can get by with just 2 boxes for the time the appliance guy is here.
