Time to dredge up a long forgotten list of what you were supposed to do, and DO IT! Or maybe you didn't get to all on your list yesterday, like me, and want to take care of those items...or maybe, those items fall into both categories! That's almost professional procrastination, and today is the day for anti procrastination challenges! On guard!

Good morning bw2 and to all our little village!

Yesterday was definitely just "off." Did not get even those three things done...
-HOA, be sure I sent all invoices, take care of the three odd ones One of the odd ones I didn't deal with - need to consult webmaster, lol, and did not go through to make sure I sent all. And need to verify what address I sent one to.
-time upstairs, budgeted 5 hours for research/writing/deciding on publishing focus probably spent five hours but not focused...decided on writing goal, but then realized there were 1820-1830 tax records with this guy. So ended up working through those on Excel sheet, deadly boring, increasing my lack of focus
-camp scholarship info for dh, send to temple trustees and prez found info I had written before but I made no notes on it so need to revisit whether I made planner notes. if not, dh and I need to revisit....

In contrast to Sunday and Monday, we were cloudy/foggy/misting dampness the entire day. I did do two laps with ddog in afternoon since I didn't walk her in the a.m. That was a win. And we're partly sunny today, going to nearly 70 and the sun is trying to break through the fog. But tomorrow is cloudy and Friday is rainy.

I was up around 7:30 but had set alarm for seven. Oddly, I was awake 5:45ish, 6:20ish which is unusual. I think the cemetery issues are messing with my rest too. I don't know what to do there. Need to call cemetery chair person again, no call back from call last week.

anti procrastination:
I really need to make a plan - I have lots to think about

personal health and physical health
start thinking and acting on how to help mom with opening her world - plan like I used to with preschool - helpers don't do that so I have to add two things per day to increase her life experience. They do what is a lot of work already : get her washed up and dressed, bathroom help which is huge for me, get her up in bed - huge for me bc mom won't always let me do that (she won't stand up to the Sara steady with me (sits like a rock ;) ) I do meds, sit with her to help her eat (helpers normally don't talk while she is eating or sitting at the table or other places. They are loving and caring but, I hear a lot of quiet - lots of quiet - tv on etc.
big one: my mental health right now is bad- very sad and lost on what to do - brother and how to move forward with dd's, him, me - he is very confusing to me - I think I need to take a real look at what I can do and what I can't do. make a list - including how to.
outdoor health daily again
routines - big
one thing that moves the household forward.
dh time and figuring our next year together - he has ideas of what he would like to do this year
dogs

Hi!

Rant (sort of) ahead... maybe it's just disappointment or sadness.

My kitchen looks awful. Add to that, dh made supper last night. If you call cold brown beans and partially cooked rainbow trout supper. He put the beans in a pot and then put that on the table, then he started to prepare supper just after 3. He needed me to put the pepper, garlic and thyme inside of the fish and on top of it. He had already put onions and lemon slices. I also turned on the oven. He said 350. He also couldn't put the foil over the dish, so I did that. He put it in the oven and took it out shortly after that and took off the foil. I had read the recipe so I knew a bit of very hot water was required at this point, so I did that when he took the foil off. I also put the beans back on the stove. It was his idea to have brown beans with the fish because he told me "we always have beans with fish" (not in the past 11 years) Any way... he put the beans on the table before they started to bubble, and then he took the fish out of the oven and put that on the table. Table wasn't set and soda wasn't on the table. No serving spoons or other cutlery. I got the table set while he's sitting there looking at me. The very first bite of fish was cold. Beans were cold. He said the recipe said the fish would be cooked in 10 minutes. (The exact same recipe that I read, which said 10 minutes, add hot water and cook another 10 minutes.) It was probably the worst supper we have had in the past 11 years.

Add all of this to the fact that the washing machine still needs to be fixed. I spent most of the time after supper trying to get all the water drained and the stuff in the washer wrung out and dried. Dh also had a shower after supper. I was not a happy camper by the time I went to bed just after 9.

I texted the appliance guy this morning. He hasn't responded yet. It's overcast here. It rained a lot last night.

So I need to do a lot of dishes. Dh went back to bed after he had his coffee.

To simplify what I may have overcomplicated yesterday :

make a list, like

marigolds
pansies
zinnias
daisies

in front of each next thing on the list, click on that asterisk up there - you can do it as you list, or afterward

Then, highlight (or select) that whole list. (using a mouse, hold down the left button/side,)

While it's highlighted, click the SECOND list icon at the top.

Now it's asking you a question right at the top of your list : It wants to know, "list equals what?", but it's saying, "list=" So, right behind that equal sign (with no space), either don't type anything, type in the letter a, or type in the numeral 1.

Good morning!

I just wanted to get that down while I had it fresh on my mind.

btw, it will also accept Roman numerals, just type a capital I.

((Cathy)) I meant to say to you yesterday - the money you already spent should count toward the eventual bill, right? Because that wasn't the right diagnosis... .. So sorry about the meal. Rainbow trout is so nice and also not cheap. On the one hand, you want him to understand, but on the other hand, does it help to explain, really. Very difficult to decide how much to say. I guess, do notice and appreciate the things that are done right, but be generally aware of everything that is happening, because any little or big thing may come down to you. And, I'm sure you've already thought of how the kitchen has some dangers, so he needs you to be a second set of eyes and ears to make sure all is safe.

((blessed)) that is smart to remember how you used to be efficient with preschoolers and guide their days. I'm so glad you have help with the practical, and so glad she has you to oversee the engagement with her world.

Today I promised myself early sewing to catch the light. But I'll intersperse with the cleaning and the decluttering.

My way of making a numbered list is

1. Easy
2. Peasy
3. lemon
4. squeezy!

I just type in the number
1 and
1. type a period after it and then
2. it's all done!

Much like my kitchen
!. pile all like things together.
2. empty the sink and then
3. refill the sink with larger dishes at the bottom
4. smaller dishes on top and
5. just like that, dishes have now been pre-soaked in the sink and I'm already much happier with the entire house.

See! I'm smiling again. I didn't think I could find a smile there today.
