Thanks for starting us, Twins! I’m not yet s2s, but I heard one more pointer for the winter storm on the radio that I thought it important to share: Make sure you have your medications.

That is a good one Mystery! I fill up my weekly meds containers early in the week so I'm typically ahead of the need for refills, but sometimes they do slip up on me. I have two scripts for myself to get today (one has been there several days, I was waiting until the second was ready) and I have the compounded script for ddog to pick up.
I slept in this morning, didn't turn on an alarm and told myself I was getting a little extra rest. I was tired last night and even achy so my sleep was undoubtedly helped by ibuprofen as well.
Need to get moving, ddog is restless for walk. Dh came in from his Rotary meeting and started moving around his bourbon in our MBR closet again. He's creating a "display" lol. That means he can walk people to the door instead of pulling out boxes at the back of the closet.

Good morning!
I'm in my 2nd hour of the day. I took advantage of the ability to sleep later than usual because DS17 didn't need to be up until 7:15.
Physical therapy office called and cancelled DD14 appointment for today. We will reschedule after the snowstorm has passed.
We have a 9:30 appointment with family doctor to discuss DH tests results ....including the mental tests that we already know he didn't score well. I don't really need the official test results to tell me what I already know from being with him 24/7 and living through his mental decline. However, I am still dreading hearing them.
After that appointment we will stop by the small local grocery store and pick up a few items on our way home.
Then we’ll hunker down and enjoy the few days each year when we get to experience receiving snow. I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully no ice though!

Hi!
PSW has come and gone.
I have some large utensils/knives to wash. All pots and pans are done. Dishwasher is full and ready to go. It's cold here and very windy. The snow is less than an inch deep.
Dh had a rough night. I did quiet things until he woke up because he was sleeping on the couch.
Talked to appliance guy. He is waiting for the right part to be delivered which will be "middle of next week". He claims the wrong part had been delivered. Dh thinks the guy is lying, because he said "they sent the wrong part" is something you say to customers when you don't want to work on their broken down "car/truck/washing machine" (insert word of your choice).
So... I'll be washing a load at a laundromat. Hopefully today.

Good morning for real!
S2s, fed... and that's about it. I've been really distractible this morning. Wanted a mug warmer on my desk, but the power strip is full. Then I thought about USB plug-in mug warmers and, even though it wouldn't help me now, I went online to look them up. Never looked them up but got sucked into Reddit. Trying to get back on track now. Maybe I need some conga music!
Thinking about LadyM's talk with the doctor... (((hugs))).
Didn't get any laundry done yesterday except to fold and put away the clothes from the day before. Fortunately, I've been keeping up -- almost too well -- so I don't have a backlog. So that'll be next, followed by lunch. (Glad I don't have to go out in the cold to a laundromat!)
Hope to see you guys later!

IMO (and I could be misinformed or just not good at this), it has been very difficult to get a clear understanding of our forecast here. By that I mean that of course we understand there are many models, but what is most likely. I would also be interested to hear why it's most likely, etc. I've been surprised by the generalizations. Perhaps this is just a function of the unpredictability of the storm itself.
Medicines - building on what Mystery said, gathering meds together in case of needing to go elsewhere. Does your household have a particular med that is not supposed to reach a low temperature and do you need to think about that staying with you.
Laundry has finished and is drip-drying now.
lol on Mystery's circling route to not actually looking up what she started out to look up. I had to explain "But First Syndrome" to HRH last evening, when he kept getting interrupted by "But Firsts" on his way to his chest of drawers.

Harriet I have always felt that Mother Nature is predictable but sometimes not as predictable as we would like. I follow 2 different weather stations/channels. Right now both of them are saying we are in a deep freeze. They both show large maps of the overall picture of North America. They also both show maps of southern Ontario. Right now they are both very similar. Of course there are also the TV weather forecasters. Some are better than others. Then there are the ones that do their best to scare the heck out of people. I prefer not to watch those stations. Some people only watch the scary ones and will repeat "the sky is falling" scary weather reports. I firmly believe that looking outside is one of the best ways to determine what's up.

I don’t envy any of yall facing this storm. I have several friends including my brother, who are in its path. My one friend just moved from AZ to Buffalo, NY where she was raised. She’s not looking forwards to a 100*+ drop in her tempatures
Meantime I’ve been to class and my coffee gathering. Nice to be around friends as SWeetie is having a good day. I also have a PET scan later today for my ear.
Lucylee.. if you don’t have electricity your heat pump won’t work.
Wishing yall the best… this storm is going to be a doozy!
