To-Do Tuesday

Post by DeeClutter »

Never got here yesterday. My big "to-do" this morning is to get off to our church's women's meeting (9:30). Dh is back from his walk -good thing, it started raining hard a few minutes ago. I was surprised at that -thought it was to rain north of us.

Dh is going up with me this morning so he can go on to his db's and recover my purse. Knew I'd left it yesterday as soon as I started to get out of the car. At least I didn't leave it at the restaurant.

Sorry you didn't get to fly, Kathryn -that's the only post I 'somewhat' glanced at from yesterday. Will cuop later today.

I am so tired and this week (for 2 old retirees is exceptionally busy!)

Dh will be flying home next Wed. Made his Dr's appointment yesterday morning for next Thursday morning. His Dr. called last night and will start the ball rolling today so dh can get an appointment for this test at the one hospital in the region that does it. Then perhaps we'll know what's going on. Obviously whatever it is, is gaining momentum. I already got a text yesterday from someone who heard his cancer was back. Not that we know of, but are aware this is a possibility. Know dh will be glad to have this test done and start dealing with whatever is going on.

Gotta run, time to go. Everyone have a great day. May your "to-do" l&&t become shorter and shorter.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Hope your dmom has a happy birthday, Nancy. That was the crafty card you and a grandchild were making the other day, wasn't it?

Oh good grief, Dee, a text letting you know that gossip mills are doing well. Lots of conclusion jumping. Yes, that's definitely the right response, "Not that we know of..." Hope you have a good time at the women's meeting and stay dry. An email to you.

The rain came early here as well, and in fact has changed some plans for us. We will probably postpone some errands.

TaDa from yesterday is that I went back to the branch dragon... um... bank. Unfortunately, while I nervously pointed out the problem, there were basically excuses, which disappointed me. He said he didn't sign and date the first time because you wouldn't have been able to read both the signature and the stamp (as if his off-hand decision should have been understood by the court). Yet his stamp had not touched the signature area, something which both another notary and I were viewing at that moment. He wanted to use the same document and just sign now, after the fact. Even I know that's wrong, and I pointed out the notes (including a big X in black Sharpie marker) all over the top of the document, made by clerk of court in denying it ... so how could you submit that again? Sigh.

Today's e-mail unsubscribe was the My Calorie Counter forum digest I never requested, and the batch deletion was Zaz zle. Since they send e-mails rapid-fire, that was a biggie.

Today's laundry was green-blues, all drip-drying now.

Have been decluttering in the master bath and Focus cleaning in the bedroom. Anybody in there cleaning with me?

I've already been out to the TMJ dentist for the TENS type of treatment-thingie, and then had breakfast and surfed a bit here. I need to get moving - gorgeous day here (what's the deal? very nice weather Sat-Sun, then drizzle and rain all day yesterday, gorgeous again today and rain into snow tonight to tomorrow a.m.?)

My computer is worrying me - it's now five years old and is overheating again. A dfriend/computer geek several years ago took it apart and got out all the dog fur and it stopped overheating, probably need to do so again but no one to call on. Perhaps a trip to Geek Squad is in order. (Words with dh re: whose computer is older - I'm pretty sure mine is. I don't know why this bothers me so much.....)

OMM stuff for the day....

-garage clean up - weather is nice and I need to get recycle out for p/u tomorrow (no pick up on New years day so there is a lot...)
-get ready for temple meeting tonight
-call and get password reset to submit yesterday's report online (Temple secretary had tried to log in, and got locked out....)
-what else?

Harriet, I think the guy at your bank is probably related to the temple secretary?

-walk the dogs
-clear kitchen counters
-clear kitchen table
-make the bed
-refill meds container

Good Morning from the desert.

We have been here 2 nights and a day. The relaxation is starting to set in. Lots of good friends here. Daytime temps are shirt sleeves and night time are cuddling under flannel sheets.

Today is pot luck dinner so I'll bake a cake. It will serve two purposes - the dinner and warm up the MH. We are parked a different direction this year and don't get the morning sun.

DH is feeling good but not a dramatic change that he was hoping for. I'm still dealing with insomnia - which is just aggravating, not fatal.

Good Morning!

(((Dee & DH))) good reminder to me how NOT to be supportive to those seeking answers & waiting. Gossip is never good.....

This made me chuckle.
hum.....I wonder if their sibling works at our local hospital in accounting dept? This morning I called to pay a medical bill they sent me.....however the person in accounting dept couldn't find me in the computer. If the bill is paid within 10 days they give a 10% discount so it is worth $50 to me to be found NOW. After spending 15 minutes on the phone with her, I ended up writing the facts down and mailing them the paper & check. We will see if maybe someone who has a clue will receive the written payment and process it correctly. BTW - this bill was for "x-ray" used during my biospy. (IMHO, it should have been listed as sonogram..... I guess they lump all equipment used in that dept under X-ray) The cost was just a tad under $5,000. Just for the x-ray!!!!

Nancy - Happy Birthday to your DMom!

I've been following hourly schedule this morning and it feels good to make progress in several areas.

Next up -
** Focus deep cleaning. My focus this week is the ktichen. Yesterday I processed about 1/4 of the cabinets - removed everything, deep clean, decluttered, inventoried, took photos and returned it all in a organized manner. Today I will continue on the next cabinet and work until my hour is over.

Done, finally. Computer is still running a little slow but not overheating. Found Evernote and Dropbox running all out when I looked at what was running. Once they were ended, the overheating isn't going on.

-Call re resetting password on website I need to use to submit report
-call re: dr appt for dmom (they had to call me back but I missed call yesterday and podiatrist appt for dmom next month
-email re appt to do POA for dmom
-print online form re: requesting discharge papers for ddad and see if I can complete
-call for massage/body work

I am feeling really worn out and discouraged about wound up and agitated about temple biz and not sure where to turn. I've had trouble sleeping the last two nights because I end up with things firing up in my mind that "need to be done" but OTOH I have no support from others and I only have 106 days to go. Of my Exec committee, the president-elect is lagging about getting involved, one of the VPs resigned last month (the one who moved away) and the other is working longer hours and seems quite unavailable. I'm not sure whether there's an issue (she sick of me, she's burned out also) but the only response I ever get is that she's working, except for the one last week questioning me for expecting too much of the secretary. The treasurer guy has never been much use but is basically checked out and signing cks only. Secretary is still hanging in there, and IPP has already done her turn as president and doesn't have the bandwidth to pick up much stuff either.

I'm not even sure whether to try to throw myself at some of these issues or just make a list for the incoming president and say, "Sorry, these are issues that I didn't get to."

Tonight is a committee meeting and there won't be enough of us there (neither VP, only me, incoming president, rabbi and secretary) to really discuss this issue.

And I have dsis' house hanging over me - need to get it cleaned out and gone. And mother.

Can I vent a little more? An elderly congregant whose family has been very generous to the temple wants us to start live streaming our services and is willing to pay for setting it up and the cost, etc. OTOH, I have to say it's not something that is high on my list of priorities, except that this guy wants it....I'd much rather spend my limited time and energy on other issues?
