Our new dog, Dakota, is a 6 -7 year old Australian Cattle Dog in black and tan. She is very laid back and has been sleeping at our feet most of the evening while we watch TV and listen to music.

She doesn't bark - even when we met her in the kennel. There was another that we liked but she barked loudly the whole time.

Tomorrow is a big day on the phone doing follow up calls on her adoption, letting the other Rescue center know to take us off the list, etc. etc. I also have to clean out the big box from our bath remodel that is in the bedroom where the night crate will go.

Happy Anniversary and Birthday to those I missed.

MT, it sounds like you found the perfect dog for your lifestyle.

After spending 45 minutes tossing and turning, I decided to get up and make a list of things I want to take to dd2s store tomorrow. I plan on spending the day there cleaning and throwing away trash. The more I can get done tomorrow, the better chance we have of finishing on Friday. I can do a lot more by myself than I can with dd2 there.

I will be so glad when this business is behind us. Then next week we need to go and finish moving things from the new house that they are selling to the one they are living in. Once everything is in one place, she needs to start sorting things, etc. for a garage sale. Their garage will hold 5 cars. Right now it is so piled up with garage sale items, etc. that only 1 car fits.

I am feeling much better about dhs retirement. Yesterday he talked to the financial guy associated with the plant. He told dh that he is a judiciary something or other and by the law has to look out for his clients best interest. He thinks dh should leave his retirement fund as is, until Dec. Then they will run the numbers and if it will go up in Jan. then dh will work a few more weeks. If it will go down in Jan., then he can take it out in Dec. and retire at the end of the month. He will be back at the plant next week and dh will have another meeting with him, so if possible, I want to go, also.

It occurred to me today that when we get back from our trip in mid March, it will only be 9 1/2 months until the end of the year. Dh will be retired before I know it.

Sadie, thank you for checking in and letting us know how you are doing. I am absolutely amazed that you are back to work and doing so well. I hope you can start sleeping in your bed before long.

Speaking of beds, I need to try it again.

That is really strange homework, Okay -- for children who are not learning fractions. Surely it is a typo.

I may be making typos here -- on the phone and can't type much -- but y'all, please try to help me figure out some way to get myself together!
WHY do I find it so impossible to s2s FIRST thing??? I KNOW my day goes 100 times better if I do -- but I have sooooo much trouble with that one simple step.
Tonight my head is spinning anyway -- dmom mentioned giving that truck to ds again. Now THAT makes me nervous -- like I'll be more obligated to dmom or something then... Dh said how could that be? -- I would never turn her down on anything anyway, already. I'm just crazy. Dmom does NOT need 5 vehicles -- ds really does need a truck like hers.
It's just like the house again . I want my dmom to be like dmil and then when she is -- I start making myself crazy.

I've just been kinda down the past couple of days anyway -- worrying about dmom's physical problems, etc.

Today would have been their 53rd anniversary.

I will have dgs tomorrow and Friday -- maybe he will help me break this nervous depression!
Tomorrow is another day.
