FRIDAY FUN

Post by DeeClutter »

Just have fun with whatever you're doing today. Make a way to fun in housework. Had to think fast for an "F" word for today so this is what you have! :lol:

Woke myself up very early dreaming that I didn't have my council minutes done. When I awoke my first thought was as my feet hit the floor -but my eyes were closed -"have to do that report & email it before I even leave for church here this morning". After I was really awake I finally realized I sent it off yesterday morning. Whew!

Dh had his procedure yesterday & they did tell him there that they found a problem with his esophagus (not surprising at all). Whoever did the test told him that sometimes they 'microwave' the flap that empties from the esophagus to the stomach. Sure the Dr. will explain further to him on Monday. They did say that this 'flap' & esophagus are very weak. So we'll see from here.

I'm off for a few hours. Have 2 DPC to do when I get back -very dreaded I might say. One is for our health care and I fear it's really messed up and the payments not reaching where they're supposed to go. The other is to A mazon for dh's K indle. They sent him a new charger thinking this would solve his problem -NOT. So have to wait for him to be ready to field a call from them and hope they can walk him through to a successful conclusion. Hope so because his warranty is about up!

Gotta run. Have a FUN day!
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Good Morning!

My DDaddy always said as were parted to "Remember to Have some fun!". So for me, the word FUN is associated with DDaddy and feeling of love and security. An expectation and attitude of fun is a great way to go through the day!

It is time slot tetris type of game day for me. Too much scheduled and as the priorities change the slots keep bumping each other out of their spot.

SHUFFLE...SHUFFLE...BUMPing those time slots around.....I thought I had the time slots planned until LO woke up at 5:30 this morning with an ear ache. I put drops in his ear and gave Tylenol to get him able to deal with the pain. I took a look into his ear and can see the drum is BRIGHT red. I can't tell if it is bulging (don't know what I'm looking for) but I expect it is since he has fluid behind it at his last ENT appt. I will be calling the ENT and/or his regular doctor to get LO seen today.

Other time slots -
** Clean all the **stuff** out of my Honda.
** My baby Honda to the dealer for its 100,000 mile maintenance. I know they will be doing the timing belt, drive belt, spark plugs.....plus whatever else is due.
** Title to the tag agent to put it into DD name
** transfer $$ at bank
** 2 hour drive to purchase vehicle we found yesterday. It is older than I wanted but is in such good shape that I'm going to get it anyway. It fits our basic requirements and I don't have time to shop around. I'm going from a vehicle that gets 40 mpg to one that gets 16 mpg. I hope I don't have a heart attack when I go to the gas station. :roll: I'm comforted by the fact that I consider vehicles to be just a tool. If I don't like it then I can get a different one.

Good morning, villagers ~

I noticed last night at the library that our perpetual sale shelf for used books was looking rather empty. We have plenty of books downstairs in our storage closet, boxed up waiting for the big annual sale in June. Rather than dig into those, though, I'd rather make a quick pass through books here at home to see if I can pull a big enough stack of paperbacks to donate.

Then I just have to remember not to buy them back at the June sale. ;)

Today's 5x5:
* Finish Phase 1 of the sewing group files project so the rolltop desk horizontal surface will go back to being cleared.
* Find books to donate.
* Library group banking
* Lunch with Z.
* Errands in The Big City.

I need another cup of coffee before I can deal with those files again.

Lilac ~ I've seen a couple of commercials for the Lego movie, too. I'm still new the the whole Lego world. I've been told that there have been Lego movies in the past, but I never heard of them. Maybe they went straight to DVDs for kids rather than to theaters like this new one?

BookSaver, I was rather surprised to see that "The Lego Movie" is starting here today, but has an R rating. I'm like you, I wasn't aware that there were prior Lego movies.

I need to buy groceries today. I am thinking that I will just buy what I need at WM and not go to the grocery store until Monday. I haven't been off the place since Monday and really don't want to brave the cold, any longer than I have to.

Guess I better get a shower.

Nancy and BookSaver I just looked at movie showing times for our theatre on their website and it says the rating is PG. I thought that didn't sound right and wish I would have double checked before I posted that. That is a big mistake for the newspaper to make.

We are already home from HRH's morning appt/procedure, in fact we stopped off for a late breakfast.

I glanced at the premise for The Lego Movie and was intrigued - sounds FUN. There have long been console/computer-video games for Lego characters like the ones in the movie. "Lego Batman", "Lego Indiana Jones", "Lego Star Wars", etc. Dd has enjoyed those since she was about 12, so when I see the characters in promos they look quite familiar to me. They have the same "look" to the character's movements.
