We're having sunshine now - just want to encourage Dee as I think our weather moves east to her neck of the woods. :)

I'm off to see if I can sneak outside to finish shoveling w/out Maia noticing. . . It will go a little faster without her help.

I did not mention loosing a hen yesterday as I had noticed she was not doing well was sort of expecting it. One fell with a nest box wondering if it was from that, so down two hens this week but we had too many and these laid smaller eggs.

They seem to like the way I have moved the nest boxes around it is lighter and easier to see some are laying out side again I am happy about that as we will be moving the nest boxes out of the coop soon for the pullets to go out side in a few weeks.

Working on weekly chores and cooking today feels productive! I did some out side stuff too.

Just a quick reply w/(((HUGS))) for the Harriet family... and Dee's family & friends "up north" -- esp. ds!

JOY TO REPORT (here since this is where the fretting and panic was reported)
:D :D :D My G eorge S trait tickets just arrived by UPS!!! :D :D :D Happy dance, happy dance (again). And yes -- same seats I first requested, aisle, lower level... All is good!!! :D :D :D

I must get in the shower. Still in my housecoat... 4:00 p.m.
Sometimes I feel that I am such a drag on this whole village... such a poor example for anyone lurking and I obviously cannot seem to get the routine thing going. Always making an excuse.
However -- today -- in spite of my slovenly, lazy ways, I have managed to
-- get two loads of clothes in the washer
-- pay IRS
-- call bank for dh's check confirmation
-- straighten up book shelf/nightstand, move some books to other areas of the house
-- organize household notebook and get recipes 3-hole punched and into other notebook
-- s/s two toilets

That's all for now. :?
Tomorrow is another day.

Thanks Helia, LucyLee. I'm going for a walk as I know that will help me calm my insides. Think I wouldn't be so nervous if I didn't already know what DS sometimes goes through.

LucyLee, so glad your tickets arrived!! Are they at least near what you wanted?

Lucylee: If it was me, I'd take both sets of tickets just in case the first ones were legit and the second ones were a ruse. I'm not very trusting today!

Spent the length of When Harry Met Sally working on my creative room, mainly working on making space for me to think. Boxed up 3 boxes of picture frames to donate, and made dh take the things like door handle and light switch plates to the car to donate to Habitat for Humanity. They weren't in my room originally, but that's where dh had put them as he cleaned out the workroom. I'm working on getting wrapping supplies down to one bin. Found an extra bin large enough to hold rolls of paper. My dmil had one small shoe box of wrapping paper and I wish I could have as little as she did but I just can't.

Kathryn - I'm confused after reading about finding out that smoking is allowed. Was that a deal breaker or are you still moving into the apartment?

LO is home, fed a snack, homework done and read a book to him. One of his homework assignments was to draw pictures about his favorite part of the book we read today. What a day to read a book by Cheech (Cheech and Chong). It was a cute story with plenty to talk and write about.

Next up - make supper while waiting for the Gopher/mole fella to show up

Oh, I thought you lost a hen yesterday, nancy. I mean - I thought you mentioned today that you had lost her yesterday, unless I completely misread your words - which is possible. LOL!
Lost another of the young smaller hens yesterday

Picked up dd15 from friends house. Got potatoes in the oven. Spent too much time looking for info on the Malaysian flight. Not sure why I'm so interested.

Next, a little bit of shoveling and then I'll get the rest of dinner going.

What a day.

The weather we had today was actually called a "blizzard" on one newscast/weather update.

One of the worst days I have ever driven in my life. So happy to be home safe.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

I am still alive! After the first night I didn't have free wifi and no more time than I had to use it, it didn't seem worth the expense. I sure missed this village and will get cuop.

I am worn out from the trip and soooooooooooooooooo glad to be home.

Just wanted to check in.
