(((Twins))) Re: your dsis, you are right; you did not have much choice. A situation like that just requires a person to be in a nursing home or other facility, IMHO, and although being in any institution of any kind may be contributing to the dementia, there is just no other way around it. And considering the state of mind/behavior that led to this, who's to say that the dementia wouldn't have progressed to this point by now anyway. Try not to beat yourself about it. (((BIG HUGS)))

OTOH, your remark about the Temple business made me think about retirement this time last year...
I am able to say that I am deferring issues to him, which is lovely.
:D

I cannot believe *** oh no, I hear Cowinkie LOL already *** I cannot believe how much I worried about retirement.
Y'all, today -- and this is kinda embarrassing, but it is lovely, also. ;) I slept until 1:00 p.m., almost without rolling over. Then I got up, ate breakfast, laid back down, browsing the internet on my phone (b/c dh had the computer tied up) and I fell asleep AGAIN and slept until after 3:00 p.m.!!!  WOW. And Harriet is afraid SHE is sleeping too much??? Good gracious. My theory is, as long as dh maintains these late bedtimes that pretty much make it a necessity for me to be up, too, then I shall maintain late awakening times as much as I desire. :P
We checked on dmil and have been babysitting ever since. DS & DDIL went to a movie.

Hoping Sadie feels better by the time she reads this...
and Kathryn... WTG on all that extra vacuuming, btw...
and sending lots of good wishes to MT...(You know, I think dmil got similar news re: her thyroid probably 30 years ago. She never had anything done about and as far as I know, it has not troubled her.)
WTG on the story, Ivy. Continuing to keep dgbaby in prayer...
(((Elizabeth)))
Sending Cathy off with many good wishes...
Excited for Sunny & Dee...
* whew * Helia has had a a busy day... but that's nothing unusual.
Continuing to keep the Harmony household in my thoughts and prayers... (I wouldn't feel guilty about not accompanying dh, either. Maybe if he is on his own, he will become more aware of his limits.)
and Harriet, HRH, and family...

Ooohhhh... and yes, tomorrow IS Thursday... and the next day's Friday... and ooohhh... you know where I'm going Friday... :D :D :D (I'm still afraid something is going to go wrong, btw, but I am sooo looking forward to this!)

(This doesn't mean I'm on my way to Amarillo, of course, in case someone has somehow missed my last several months return to pre-teen idol worship...)

Waving to all!!! Hope y'all have a good night!!!
Tomorrow is another day.

Hi again everyone! It is 3 minutes past midnight, so technically it is already Thursday here, but I am going to update my progress in this thread.

My list was:
Change and put away interview clothes - DONE!
DPC - DONE!
Bible study homework - DONE!
file for unemployment - deferred to Thursday
get some Medicaid info - deferred to Thursday
go to Bible study - DONE!
errands: buy black printer ink, cat litter, and knee highs - mostly done, have not gotten knee highs yet
balance checkbook - deferred to Thursday, really must do this
whatever housework I decide to do - DONE! Master bath done all but toilet and window. MBR mopped, partially dusted, and window cleaned.
crochet with Dr. Who - DONE!

I have also looked at the calendar for tomorrow. I have nothing except art class (and of course job searching). See ya tomorrow!
