LO and I are home from visit with DSon and family. Had a wonderful time. The time just zoooooms by when I am there and it is hard to get out the door to come home.

DH hadn't eaten all day so I immediately started cooking evening meal before I started unpacking. Brats, baked potato and greens were finished cooking about the time I finished unpacking and had a LOL going. I'm going to chill the rest of the evening. I'm zapped from the immense socialization and drive.

Hi everyone! I made negative progress at the knit/crochet group. (In other words, I found a mistake 5 rows back and had to rip more than I was able to produce). Lunch with friends didn't happen, they had meetings. I ended up driving to a possible place of employment that I remembered the location, but not the name. I wandered around that area and found some other places to apply to. I have a sparkling master bath now, and will work on the MBR sometime later. I have spent quite a bit of time cooking and my kitchen looks like a troop of howler monkeys have been at it. However, the dishwasher is running and will be run again. I have eaten and the rest of the food is put away. My freezer is now restocked. A while back, my ex brought me a food processor. I assumed that it was and extra they had on combining two households. It's broken. Why can't they throw away their own trash? If I had known it didn't work, I could have done some things differently. I have decided not to mention it to him; let him think I was able to fix it.

My whole house is mine alone, but my craft room is STILL a disaster area. I am applying FlyLady's dungeon instructions. I have about an hour until Bunco, so it must be time to do something in the MBR. I think I will also change my well-floured shirt.

I think Emptynester's project sounds like the coolest thing I have heard in a long time!

ETA: In the time before I left, I put away some clothes, which began to uncover a perfectly good entertainment center top! Guess I forgot it was there. I also repaired the sleeping bag which was temporarily stashed there and put it away. When I got to Bunco, it was cancelled. That'll teach me to not check my email! Now I am at loose ends, but I am sure I will find something to work on and/or entertain myself. I think I will check that email. Then maybe crochet with the Doctor?

Feeling puny with the allergies. I dusted, rested a bit, but didn't nap, and rested after sorting the mail. DH has been helping wash the bedding, sheets, blankets off our bed. I'd gotten out a soft blanket we'd not used in a long, long time, nor ever had washed. It "disintegrated" In our washer. DH threw it out, cleaned up tons of fuzz balls all over the new washer drum, and now it's nearly time for dinner. Now, I'm wondering if we wash the other blanket, he got pitch on, will it shred-shed, too!?!? What a huge mess for us/him.

I got a letter from my down's syndrome adult DD of a pen pal. My pen pal's new pacemaker procedure went well on St. Patrick's Day, which was nice to know. Also, DH mailed the "surprise" hat off to my SC pal, for her adult DD, too. It turned out pretty.

I guess I'll sign off. We're about to eat buttermilk pancakes and fried eggs for dinner.

Fish and chips for dinner (homemade) and then ds called and talked for 2 hours!

He's liking his job so far (only working 1/2 time while on probation.) Some advantages - great food, HUGE room (which he shares with TGF), nice people (who follow labour laws), good pay, nothing to spend money on (so wages can be saved) and they are allowed to borrow the Ute to take it into town if they have permission so are not trapped up on the mountain.

He thought he was coming home in June but just checked his ticket and discovered it is July. He's not sure he'll stay that long. I'm not happy with a June return (it means we have to find a place to put his stuff that's here - not much but some) so, not so gently, pushed for him to return with TGF in May (not sure if she's coming back at the beginning or end of the month.) I suppose not knowing when he's coming is harder and if it turns out to be June I'll be okay with it since I'll be able to make plans. I'd hate for him to end up here after the move when he's only a liability to me, not an asset to help me move.

In moving tasks, all I got done today was to print off the next 3 months calendars and have started to fill things in and highlight special things (like garbage days and community garage sale dates.)

Dh and I have cleaned up the kitchen and are heading to bed.

There is a big storm (6") coming tonight although I don't believe it. Dh brought in the sap buckets (the snow will just contaminate any sap that happens to run) and put the sap collected today (2 quarts) in the fridge. That we'll boil up tomorrow since it should make up 200 ml. The temps are supposed to be below freezing until Wednesday so the sap won't run again until then.

If the storm comes, I'm not driving into the city tomorrow to drop off my preaching books. That can wait until next month.

Kathryn, have you figured out who you're selling the house to yet?

Got a little done today for a change. I cut the grass with the rider, after blowing the leaves all to one side. Our oaks have brand new light green leaves, but the old brown ones gradually all came down. We are on our own time schedule here. It's fall and spring all rolled into a few weeks. I know Sunny understands that!

We had the blade set very low and the ground is dry and sandy and the leaves are all dry...and by the time I came in I had a layer of all of that on my skin, places you wouldn't think things could reach. Shower felt wonderful!

Went to the supermarket for a load of staples. Unloaded and put everything away, then I dragged in the ladder and changed a battery in a fire alarm which was beeping at an insanely loud beep. We never did get any rain today, just clouds.

Hello again! I decided to fill my time by investigating cowl patterns for a dFriend/buyer. She found a yarn she really liked so I had to figure out patterns that would work with it. She wants "dramatic, with fringe". Two of the patterns will work with fringe, the other is less amenable to fringe. I can see a way to add it, but I am not sure it would really go well. I hear a snack of popcorn calling my name. I also hear dResidentCat14 growling at someone. My squirt bottle is ready.

Tomorrow is cat clinic, knit/crochet group, then DD12 arrives. I have SWIMMING planned for her Sunday after church, I hope she remembers her bathing suit. I hope the elastic still survives in my bathing suit.
