Last night the carpet layer that I prefer called. He will come Sunday afternoon to measure and give us an estimate. He is so backed up, it will be June before he can install it. So today I went to the super expensive local carpet store. I want a multi colored carpet that does not show footprints or vacuum cleaner marks, that is 100% nylon. At least 90% of the carpet is either polyester, olefin or other fiber. The carpet we have is made out of something that is not nylon. It is light single colored carpet. The carpet guy can clean it where it looks like new. Then the previous stains reappear. If we wanted to mess with having it cleaned 4 times a year, we would just keep it. It is a high quality carpet and very thick. Unfortunately dd2 is not anal like her parents, so this carpet has way too many stains. Any carpet I liked cost anywhere from mid 30's per sq yd to 50 ish. I shudder to think about how many sq yds are needed. Where is my magic wand when I need it? It would be nice if that worked on things like this.

Today is dance day. It's been 3 weeks since we have been due to my vacation and spring break.

In Feb. I had a drs. appt that I ended up cancelling. I should have rescheduled sooner but I didn't. I called today to make an appt because some of my meds will need new RXs before they can be refilled late next month. The earliest I can get in is May 1. She said if the pharmacy calls about refills, they will see that I have an appt scheduled.

Well I better start getting dgd4 ready for dance.

On lunch break from carving/woodburning. I think I finally got my groove on. Yesterday, I was bummed, had a headache and just couldn't get going. Now I have done a practice board and I am ready to trace my pattern on the good plaque.

Last night was Session meeting and was a lot of fun. Session at our old church was always lots of stress and tension. I like this a lot better.

Got to find something for lunch and lay out supper, too.

Today is really an off day for me. I took a nap and just haven't accomplished anything, at least in part because it seems so cold. Forty degrees and wind at 14 mph gusting to 22, and fine snow blowing sideways. And Moses is playing the in and out game with me. He's out again right now.

I am going to try to unstick my tushie and get something done, perhaps even a.m. routine. (I hate to set my sights too high, lol. )
-clear kitchen counters
-empty dishwasher
-straighten GR
-Clear bkfast bar and kitchen table
-find Fitbit

I am about to give up on the forsythia branches I bought at Whole Foods the second time. The first time around they were wonderful, bloomed out altogether after a week or so and we enjoyed for a couple of weeks inside. This time, they show no signs of blooming out, except for a couple of branches. I did buy some yellow tulips on Sunday at P ublix that are gorgeous on the kitchen table.

DH ran the DW after he and I did s2s. I'll do laundry after the DW is all done. Need clean good jeans for an appt. to get teeth cleaned. They're my fav fitting jeans.

It's raining here, it's gusty and T-storms are expected about 6 p.m.

2 Magazines came in the mail, no letters, but I'm busy crocheting today, so will reply to a pen pal I owe a letter to, on another day.

Our errands were very successful. The meeting with the financial advisor was successful at calming me that we'll be able to afford all our plans. Had a nice lunch (haven't seen the chip wagon owner since November) and I did opt to get my bangs cut.

Lease is signed, we dropped off the items we had to drop off and picked up the items we needed to pick up. Dh remembered a stop I had forgotten and I remembered one he had forgotten so we were a great dance team today.

The mail has been picked up and includes our Chromecast attachment for our TV. Not sure what it will do for us but since our kitchen computer is dying (it stopped in the middle of our show last night in response to a power brownout (it shouldn't, it is on a battery backup) I'm glad we have it. The goal is to get by without a kitchen computer at the new place. Not sure this will work, but we can try.

Dh bought me flowers (I picked tulips) so even with the snow outside and the bitter cold, I feel happy looking at them.

Helia: I'll be setting up a new computer in a week or so. Ordered it on Saturday, it should be sent on this Friday. I'm not changing operating systems, though, sticking with Win7 since so many of you have issues with Win8. We have 4 XP computers so are not sure what we'll be doing with those. The kitchen and my treadmill laptop are near their end of life so they are being donated. Dh made a bad choice 6 years ago and ended up with an XP machine that hasn't really been used until this year (on the exercise bike) so that will be vulnerable, along with his Mac (because he runs XP as a virtual box on that computer.)

That actually went well and the house looks decent, at least the public areas. DDogs still haven't been walked. I will have to steel myself to do it before dark.

I still don't have my new computer completely set up. I'm not syncing phone and iPad to you - tried to download iTunes and it was fussy so haven't tried again. Also need to get genealogy database on it.

I reset my Fitbit and it's now synching again.

I tried to relax this afternoon but keep getting interrupted. It was not exactly relaxing but nevertheless it was mostly enjoyable. In the last couple of hours I have....

** DNephew stopped by to pick up a very large awning that has been stored in our barn for years. I'm thrilled to get it out of there and put to good use. DNephew is a talker which means it took twice as long as it should have if we only were dealing with loading the awning.
** Gopher-n-mole fella came by for the final time. He brought a detailed break out of his work performed. I am very pleased with him and his service provided.
** Visited with lawn fellow about applying pre-emergent spray at MPB.
** Replied to DD emotional email
** prep'd tamales and refried beans for supper. YUM!
** Monitored LO doing his homework.

Next up -
** take LO to ball park to practice
** watch DNephew play (next field)

Afternoon y'all...Ouch ouch ouch Okay for your dh. I remember how bad my ribs hurt and for how long when I broke two of them several years ago.

I wanted in on the pantie discussion..I must be the wild child of the bunch as I have many in many different designs and colors. I tried thongs once but that lasted about 10 minutes. They were quickly tossed, but not at any particular one or thing, well I did aim for the garage can. I like feeling sexy and I know the guys in my life over many many years liked them as well. Its important to me as the panties, not the guys, make me feel young...well Sweetie does too

Tonight is the mystery night event with Norma and Mr. Guy. It is our last hurrah before they leave on Thur. Sweetie wanted to take them to a Phoenix place that is/was run by the Mob, but its no long in business. The place we're going tonight is a long time favorite of ours and has been around for more than 30 years. We always have a great meal and I hope tonight will be no different. We've had a great time this year enjoying not only Mr. Guy and Norma, but Norma's life-long childhood friends. I've heard many an interesting story including how Norma and Dee, her friend, used to sneak out a bedroom window to go joy riding with G, Dee's boyfriend back then and now husband. G and Dee dated in grade school, 6th grade I think, broke up and then started back dating in 10th grade. Norma loves to tell the story on G about jumping out the grammar school window one spring day. Its so much fun to see them all together knowing they share such a long history. My best and oldest friend and I share a 60 year history, but Norma's got me beat.

Yesterday the bug man came. After he finished, he and Sweetie spent time talking out in the front yard. The weather is so nice that I had the front bedroom window open so the air could come through the screen. Willis and I went to look out the window when suddenly Willis jumped through the window knocking out the screen. Somehow I caught him in mid-air by his hind legs..We were all shocked to say the least. Willis just sailed through the window like a jumping goat. He sure is a funny dog.

Kathryn.. whenever I move I do the same thing with the colored dots and rooms. I make copies, color the rooms with markers and them give them to the movers. Works like a charm. Once when I was moving into a new home I thought I had all my furniture laid out in their proper places. I had measured the rooms and the furniture. I like to use sheets and fold them to the sizes of the furniture so I can place and then "see" if everything fits and there is enough space to navigate each area. Everything fit fine...then in the middle of the night I sat up straight in the bed realizing that my piano would never make the turns in the hallway to get to the room I wanted it in. My then husband was convinced it would fit but I knew better. We took it anyway. The movers were unable to get the piano to the appropriate room and we ended up selling it to the mover. He told us he had bought a lot of furniture over the years for very same reason.

Glad to see that Sadie is doing so well. Lucylee, I was at a Michael McDonald concert Sat. night and there was no pantie action....however, by the end of the evening there was lots of dancin" in the aisles.....Harriet... the tardy consequences are very much the same in my schools. Okay... wanted to tell you that both our DS must live very near each other.

I've done all my dailies today...yesterday I was very slow moving as I am now in one of my headache cycles and have been experiencing headaches off and on for a week now. Some times I get over one and a few hours later it hits me again. I lost count as to how many I've had since last Wed. Anyway I dusted all my shutters and such yesterday so Lawrence's camels have turned around and gone back over the hill. Did all my laundry yesterday as well. Today was desk work and now although I've been dressed since before 6:30 this morning I need to take a shower in anticipation of tonight's dinner. Would help if I smelled good, even if I am among very close friends.

Hi everyone! I finished my picture in art class. It is a portrait of dFosterKitten Panther. After that I had lunch and returned some more library materials. At home, I checked my physical mail and email, dealt with unemployment insurance (finally), uploaded a resume, and registered for a job fair. DFosterCat Ripley found a spool of thread under the sofa that I had no idea was there. I got it away from her and I don't think she swallowed any, but I am watching her. She is playing like a kitten right now.

Tonight is Girls' Night Out, and DD12 will learn that dFosterKittens are gone. She will not be happy. Maybe the completed portrait will cheer her. Maybe the fact that kitten season is almost upon us and I am likely to get more will make her happy. Either way, I predict Chinese food.

Tonight, after DD leaves, I must get the trash to the curb and do some yardwork. Yes, in the dark. But I must get the dead yuccas out soon.

What I'd really like to do is join Ivy and crochet the day away. However, in 10 minutes, I will be picking up DD.

Well, in our cold and wind, dd and I wasted an hour walking out over a car dealership lot with a salesman (yuck) after never getting a response to an email. They have misplaced the car. I kid you not. They can't figure out which of their locations has it on a lot. Very unimpressive. Online info - in big headline - gave the reader the distinct impression it was local, which I now realize is just what they allow it to do, to get the most interest for every location. But then the salespeople, sitting at computers on and on, actually cannot figure out where it is. (Dis....missed. ) Back home online, I found it myself by finding the online "carfax" and looking at the very bottom, for current location. About 3 hours away at their sister location. I'll consider the possibility of having it sent. I'm quite put off of it now, wondering what else may have been misrepresented.

We did miss the rainshowers doing that, thank goodness. Tomorrow temps will be colder.

You could make a total of 12 "points" in ISS and dd did make her 12. Less than 10 and you have to go back and serve your sentence again.
lucylee, she says that although they did not have desks, she was able to sit in a normal school-style chair rather than on a stool and hold her work in her lap. They were told that not having a desk was so that no one could go to sleep.

Cowinkie, sorry you are headachy. Although I like a briefs style, I agree with you on variety of designs and colors. I'm a textile girl, definitely, and love the contrasts.

Beyond the attempt at car shopping, I am not happy with the productivity of this day. Someone mentioned in H and F that the cold is a factor, and I am cold, too, always looking for some kind of comfort. Sitting down, rubbing my arms, looking for warm food or drink. Absentmindedly, I stop moving and huddle and, like lucylee, I will realize there is tension in my shoulders. Supposed to be spring. Grumble, grumble, grumble. Going to make myself a warm drink... ... grumble, grumble, grumble. 22 degrees tonight does not equal spring.
