The baby will be here more as her mom is back in collage. I agree two a two week trial period
of having her here more. These have worked out in the past.

Good afternoon folks! Needless to say, I did not laze about this morning. It was up and dressed and drive one hour to the interview. The job would be in another city, but it is no worse than if I drove to the Air Force base where I am also looking for work. I thought the interview went well. I realized today that the job interview is the only place it is socially acceptable to brag shamelessly! I saw my previous boss at church and he reminded me he would be a reference, and he said he would explain how I had saved the company a substantial outlay of funds. Apparently, they had been planning to bring in an outside developer (from another company and another state) to do some script conversions. I had not known that and did them myself. So, I was able to use that as an example in the interview. Usually interviews make me feel thoroughly incompetent to do any job other than say, sweeping floors. This one, I actually felt like I did well. I hope the potential employers agree.

After that, I treated myself to some Chinese food and read some. I still need to check my emails, print off this week's FlyLady list, and run some errands.

Thank you EVERYONE who sent along good wishes for the interview. I feel like I have a lot of people both online and IRL rooting for me.

Lilac: My parents get here on April 12 and leave April 23. I am trying to get my house in order and car cleaned for their arrival. They will not be horrified or make snarky comments if things aren't done, but it gives me a goal to shoot for.

Finished the spice drawer conversion. Did the labels in too small text, too large text and finally Goldilocks text (just right.) So wasted a lot of label tape. I have a really great label maker dh bought me years ago but am stingy with tape so seldom use it. But this was one place where it was the best choice for the job.

We also walked to the store to get the mail and get me some sunlight and fresh air.

That's it. I've wasted the rest of the day. Think I'll go stare at my spice drawer some more....

Elizabeth, I'm hoping you'll land a job SOON! Also, I'm so GLAD your parents aren't horrified nor snarky, if your house isn't "perfect", but WHAT IS PERFECTION ANYWAY????

We're still awaiting the window washers to arrive. Said they'd be here between 2 - 3 p.m., but it's 3:17 p.m. now.

Received a computer letter from a new piece-of-cake "pal". Wanted me to fill out a form THREE TIMES, stating my name, DOB, favorite colors, W/A date, colors in my bathrooms, living room AND bedroom, what I collect, etc.... So she had 3 FORMS for me to fill out, while I'm asking myself WHY THREE forms???? She gave me her email address, her letter was full of ailments and health problems of hers, her relatives alive & deceased. So I figured: TOO MUCH BAGGAGE! And put her into the burn trash, so I won't "need" her to bring me "DOWN"! Anyway, I've met such lovely ladies, too, which are the majority, but every once in awhile you get a "real doozy" of a pal who just doesn't "get it". We ALL have physical ailments, know of our relations- alive AND deceased, who have/had physical ailments. Oh, well. Let's just move on, Ivy!

It's still a very, very beautiful day here! So good for window washing. DH will go to the store tomorrow and mail dgs's b-day pkg. off tomorrow, too, since window washers will be here sometime today. I got my black and white Muumuu, it's gorgeous. I put a black turtleneck under the Muumuu and that way, my arms will be warm, then have a longer half slip, leg warmers, for underneath it, to keep warmer, and found the perfect necklace for it. I took other Muumuu's, caftans and loungers, did the same thing, with turtlenecks and necklaces, to "dress" them up, for lounger days. Sure makes them look nicer than just by wearing a nightgown under them.

Glad I checked that email. I have to leave RIGHT NOW to help haul and price things for an animal org estate sale! Fortunately, I have already cleaned out my car (but not vacuumed) and put all my empty boxes in the station wagon back. I have fixed some tea to-go and some soft drinks in a cooler because it is thirsty work. I am OFF!

Glad that Elizabeth's interview went well!

I worked pretty steadily and got through a handful of issues, then walked dogs and took out the garbage.

Going to make a li&t for tomorrow now, just one meeting to attend.

The window washers came, they left, the windows look beautifully clean!
The 1 window washer in charge, replaced and fastened down our wind-blown-away chimney cap, onto our tall metal chimney for us, for free!
He'll return with his co-worker, tomorrow, Wed., or in the remainder of the week, to clean our gutters out for us. They're excellent workers, clean roofs by hand, pressure wash patios and sidings, clean carpets and tile, TOO!
We've used them for 10 years now, but never used them for gutters before. I'm certain we'll be very happy, since DH is 72 1/2 and getting up and down off the high ladder absolutely kills his legs to do the whole house or even one-half of the house, on different days.
We're Happy Campers here, tonight!

I've been having trouble focusing lately and am allowing my own upcoming move plus searching for a place for dd to distract me. Things get done, mostly at the last moment.

So there are piles of papers everywhere. And the house is a bit trashed. We have clean laundry, food in the pantry, clean dishes, I deliver sermons each week (got a lot of praise at choir for yesterday's) and haven't missed a thing but suspect I might be just getting by.

Got the minutes for last month's Presbytery committee meeting written and sent tonight, in time for April's meeting on Wednesday. Then I looked around and thought, "I'd better get to tidying."

But it is time for bed because tomorrow we have to be downtown by 8 for dh's followup appointment to the cognitive testing. And at 11 I have the mover coming to give an estimate.

Wait!!!!! That means he'll be walking all through my house, opening cupboards and looking in the corners. It isn't that my place is horrible, but it is a good 3 hours of tidying away from being presentable. Sigh... I know he probably sees a lot worse but I'm still a bit embarrassed. See you all tomorrow afternoon (that's when I'll be able to take time to get online.)

2 more loads of laundry done. Bed remade.

Deep cleaning in the master bathroom before helping HRH with the handyman project of replacing the toilet seat - done.

Ordered my car floor mats. (Using cardboard at the moment.) Had thought about just dropping by an auto store, but dstepson sold me on the idea of really weather-protective fitted-to-car mats in tan to match the interior. Researched and decided on Husky brand. I was amused at the competing brand's online joke, though ... ... to please understand that their "gray" or "tan" color might not perfectly match your exact car's interior, but that they guaranteed their black mats would match your brake pedal.

Took dd15 clothes shopping. Got my $10 discount at Kohl's right before it expired. (From buying at their men's clothing promotion back before the funeral.) She got a pair of jeans, a classic bleached-denim vest, a cute top I chose (looooove it) and a sale sweater. Grateful for bargains when trying to keep a teen dressed!
