Time to use a timer again since time is slipping away here.

Three weeks today, our house contents will be delivered to our new home!

There's a lot of work to do between now and then so I'm going to stick to our original plan of 10 boxes a day (and it will be 14 today since we only did 6 yesterday.)

Progress so far - stored away the winter duvets so they are ready to go into a large box along with the rest of the winter bedding, when one surfaces (I'm putting a request into the moving company for more boxes.)

Also got the pram put back together and took pictures before putting in the shed under a cover to protect it from dust and dirt. Tidied up the garage a little bit. You can get a motor bike in beside our car now (still not enough room for a second car but that's because there's furniture in there that is going to dd's so it will be gone on June 1 or 2 when they come by with the rental van.)

Upstairs is show-ready as it the laundry room (all the outside cleaning yesterday had left a mess) and there is a load of laundry running now and another in the wings since today is a good line-drying day. I'll have to show the house with laundry on the line but so be it.

I've had my tea and chocolate so need to get my breakfast and then get cracking. Goals for the day beyond the 14 boxes include getting a document off to the accountant and finishing Sunday's service. We also have an appointment this afternoon for a second quote on the septic system and the possibility the house will be shown today (we received a follow-up email from the lead we had yesterday.)

I never use my timer, but it is a great idea! Thanks Kathryn. I do have some timed engagements today, though:

- out from 11 ~ 3 doing band uniform returns, depending on the kids' needs. If no one is going to return after school, I'll just declare myself finished at 1:30.
- dd15's oboe lesson = out from 4:15 - 5:50.

There are other things I need to do, but these are the only timed occurrences today.

Speaking of timing, I just got back from a jog. I'm going a little faster and feeling stronger at the end! --Not that I'm going very fast at all, but it's a nice feeling to see and feel the increase in stamina and strength over time.

I might be brave enough now to sit down and write out a HUGE li$t of all the things that need to happen before dd18's party. Dh and I went out to eat last night and were able to talk through some party details, which was helpful. He doubts the brick walkway will get done before the party. He is meeting with the brick guy late this afternoon.

Off to the a.m. routine now.

Came by earlier but wasn't ready to post. Thanks for the 'timer', Kathryn. That's definitely my mode today -in very small increments. I've done my morning routine through breakfast & making the bed. Now on to some 'real' housework. Decided earlier to get my timer running and remove everything from the hutch counter and the open shelf above it. My challenge will be to see how LITTLE I can put back on them. Saw pictures last night of the demo RV before we bought this one. How nice they look with very little sitting out. Of course no one is living in them at that point. I still would like to be able to put more things 'out of sight'. Dh is more a "gotta see it" kinda guy.

Speaking of 'seeing'. My keys to our car, etc came up missing last night when we were getting ready to go to potluck and him to fire meeting. I looked in every one of his pockets, all over the deck, in the car in everything in here -and again this morning. I knew he had had them when he went to town. But I was afraid he might have had both our sets and laid mine down somewhere while he was out. After looking for about an hour this morning -wasted time!, he came in and said, "How come YOU put your keys in MY toolbox?" which was up at the big barn. Never would have found them. Of course he knew he'd done it. He remembered getting out a tool and opened the box and wallah -there they were. Imagine that!

I'm still a little under the weather so have cancelled my haircut for this afternoon. I might be ok but didn't want to be cancelling at the last minute.

I stayed completely focused during that 30 minute CFO effort and am amazed how much I accomplished.

After I finished that, I wrote email to DD including pictures of the guys selecting DGD3(almost) birthday gifts, a picture of LO mailing the box yesterday and a tracking link. DD gave me 2 addresses to mail the items to (different towns). They are in process of moving so I'm not 100% sure the package will arrive where they are living. This is DD & DGD2 sixth time to move this year.

Oh, Dee, I'm sorry you're not feeling tip-top.

I'm not either. I woke groggy. Hoping coffee helps.
First thing I sat down and did a bunch of paperwork DH left on my desk. Typing. I still use my typewriter with proposal forms I made. I have that form in Excel to fill in on the computer but this is easier. I don't know anybody else who uses a typewriter. I guess I am a neanderthal.

I tend to do better around the house if I get into "work mode" and just continue working. I get my brain in some sort of zone and keep on working and get lots done. If I sit down and rest I might not get up again. So, I use my timer for that, my rest periods. It's not the best system and I tend to overwork that way, but it works for me.

Going to run up a couple spreadsheets.

Kathryn, it's good Ken is helping you pack. I never have any help packing. I do the house. DH does the business tools, etc. I wouldn't touch that stuff with a 10' pole!

This is DD & DGD2 sixth time to move this year.

Think (part) of my problem is, Harmony, that I have everything listed on my laptop and I sit down to cross them off. Then 'forget' what I'm doing and 20 minutes later -I'm still here.

Curtains & sheers taken down from 4 windows and windows cleaned inside & out. After the curtains finish washing I'll hang the sheers up to dry in place. Then dry & iron the curtains before rehanging them.

Just finished up 48oz of water. I'm trying to drink my daily water earlier in the day so I'm not up/down all night going to the bathroom.

Next time slot is daily PUPA, sweep & wipe down. Setting the timer for 3 minutes to do round robins in all the rooms.

Hmmm....3 minutes. Just how do you do that? Take the timer with you into each room 7 then start it? Wonder what I could accomplish in just 3 minutes.....

I just took everything off our hutch and the open shelf above it. Some things I've set over to do with the dishes to remove any semblance of 'winter' dust. Looks much better already. Sometimes I just have to remove EVERYTHING to really clear out what's not needed/wanted in a particular spot. One space I definitely have to do that to is the side of my kitchen counter in front of a tall narrow cupboard. I imagine one thing is to take all of my 'tall' utensils out of the 2 holders & see if I can narrow it down to 1. Little by little.
