Dinner is done. I overcooked it but it was still edible. I couldn't finish mine because I was/am full.

We watched the season finale (last season) of Mad Men. We won't start another season until we are in the apartment but there are a number of documentaries we wanted to watch so we'll do that for the next while. If it is longer than 60 minutes, we'll split it into two evenings.

Kathryn, I don't know if it's different here in the states, as opposed to Canada, but DH said tonight's "Mad Men" episode is their mid-season finale and they're coming back for the other last half of the series later in the year. :?: I don't know, but their website would say.

We had dinner, I s2s, am wearing lounging pajama bottoms, a turtleneck sweater with a cardigan because I was so cold. It's raining, the weather base for our security system says the T-Storms come on Wed., & not the weather peoples' forecast, from Seattle for T-Storms on Memorial Day. :?: So I don't know, but will look out the window & whatever it is- it is.

I'm very sleepy, since my shower. Hope I can stay awake enough to see "Mad Men" now. :|

Those Bierocks were wonderful. She also had cheesecake with cherry topping. I headed home and was just here a few minutes when dh called. He is in B ranson and had went to see The G atlin Brothers concert. He said it was good but he is tired and ready to watch the rest of the race and then sleep.

Guess I will start trying on capris again, to see what fits and what doesn't.

Let's see what I can remember..

Elizabeth, I thought you meant you were going to calk the ceiling up in the closet. If it's up in the attic, like the underneath side of the roof that might be more helpful. But, the leak really should be sealed on the top side. Do remember, especially if there is a slope on the roof, that the leak might not be where it is dripping in. Often DH finds leaks that come in one spot high up, run down the underneath decking boards and find a way in and drip there. Sometimes it will drip under a window but the leak happens way up of that. Sometimes he will run a hose/water and look for the leak or wait till it's raining. Most often he will just send out a roofer. I hope you find yours!

Helia, I could never be as social as you are. I'd need a rubber suit!

And I'm afraid something's terribly wrong with me. I'm getting more and more anti-social as the days go by. I can barely sit in church any more. I HATE hosting small group here. Once the social time is done I seem to be wrung-out tired, but relieved. I've never had the gift of hospitality. I've always wanted to be more social, but it's never comfortable for me.

I had to interact with that family here this afternoon, and I sat and made conversation as DH worked on the plan. There were 4 of them, the teenage daughter (who I helped get connected to our wi-fy), the Mother who wanted to chat, and the husband & wife. This is the nicest family you'd ever want to know. Somehow that doesn't make it easier for me.

I slept the rest of the afternoon, just exhausted. Then I got up and worked a couple hours at my desk. I've read some insurance pamphlets and filled out an application. I've applied online and got my Medicare card in the mail yesterday. I must email our agent and get the rest set up. I'm gettin' old!

Ivy, I'm glad your garage ceiling isn't worse. If the black is mold, scrape that away and retexture a bit if you need and seal with a good paint. We never want mold to grow. Nasty stuff.

Thanks for the tip, Harmony. :)

Kathryn, I saw at the end of "Mad Men," their remainder of this season airs in 2015. Good to know. I can hardly wait. It ended really great tonight, I thought. I enjoyed it.

We saw the WA D. C. Memorial Day PBS celebration, as we do every year. I had a hot shower & am winding down for bed.

I hope everyone has a good sleep & Happy Memorial Day, too! :D

Felt better today. This a.m. was good, in the afternoon I felt some effects from my bug this week but did manage
To get some more yard work done glad for the progress and to have stamina for it. Outdoor kitchen still not done but we made headway.

Harmony I too seem to struggle with hospitality.
