Kathryn, An extra closet is always nice to have & so welcome, too. Enjoy. :D

Nancy, It's a little bit cloudy here, but in the low-to-mid 60's. :) Enjoy your dirty dgd. ;)

I got the "strangest" letter from Russia. The person said they'd enclosed me a Russian bill, did I need more & they could use $1, $5, $10, or more. I couldn't understand what all they were saying either, so I won't be replying. I have no foreign pen pals, as the postage is too costly & we don't have a P. O. where you buy foreign postage anymore. Just a place that sorts & sends, with the P. O. now & little satellite P. O.'s. They don't sell foreign postage either. It was such an "odd" letter. :?: :?: :?: She has pen pals worldwide. It's fine, if she can afford it, but I couldn't understand her broken English or penmanship. I wonder why she wrote? To get $$ from me? Kind of a strange request, I thought, but you meet all types in pen palling.

I rested/napped for about 1 hour, until kitty cat jumped up on me. Then, I was awake, so had coffee, & decided to print up a story I've written so far, on the computer, to continue to write by hand, then will work on it this weekend. I'll re-write my organizing my 6-zones of the house again, so the rooms I'm working on are close together. I'll give it a try again tomorrow. I ate lunch at 11:15 a.m. since breakfast was at 5:15 a.m., took meds/supplements, & will eat again, dinner, at 5:15 p.m., but I won't take Ibuprofen or the pain pill then, because I feel so good now, I don't need it. I only need to take the antibiotic. I take it again around 11 p.m. tonight. It's taken 4 times a day until they're gone. It's nice to not have a fever, too. Dr. said my lower cheek, near the root canal tooth, had been swollen out, too. I knew the jaw bone sure ached. Well, it's over now, I feel much better, so might as well stop kicking a dead horse anymore.

Lucylee, How do you remember to refer to everyone in your posts? :?: I marvel at it. :!: I need to write down everybody's name with a note beside it, when there are a lot of people to reply to or comment on their posts to. HOW do you do it? :?: I'm blown away. You must have a great memory!

Oh, OK. I tried to post this morning but that ISP was blocked. This one at this hotel is not, apparently. I'm so tired, though, I don't have much to say other than that we are safely in a hotel on the other side of Little Rock.

I'm going to call dh in about 20 minutes. He is likely at dd15's final concert of the year right now. The concert is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the music program in this city. GG was still running a temp yesterday, so I want to see how she is doing. I feel concerned. I may see if dh can take her in to urgent care or something if she is still running a temp.

Pretty good day today. No boxes packed, though. We are exhausted.

Since my last post we did:

* Clear out the mail box. The previous tenant wasn't just a Ms. she had titles in front of her name. Classy tenants in this place!

* Unpack 3 boxes. Spend a lot of time in the kitchen figuring out where all my stuff will go (this is a bit nerve wracking.) The kitchen cupboards are refaced crap. Look good at a glance but are pretty useless.

* Use my new sink and faucet. Love them! (Washed up the lunch dishes)

* Got the tire rack assembled at our parking spot. There is room for our bikes there too, sort of.

* Got the internet working the way we wanted it (that took convincing the installer he needed to bend down and look behind a painted on face plate.)

* Had a cup of tea while enjoying the view.

* Stopped by the storage place and got more packing supplies. As well, there will be boxes waiting for us in the shed when we look in the morning.

* Went to IKEA for dinner and kitchen improvement shopping. Bought a few things that might help.

* Went to Lee Valley Tools and bought heavy duty storage solutions. Will have to go back for 3 items but the main one was there. We only have 3 under counter cupboards and are converting one to a pull out pot drawer thingy, one to hold my baking sheets and one to hold the deep fryer. Not sure where the waffle iron, popcorn maker, blender and 3 crock pots are going to go. I suspect I need to give up one crock pot (2 should be enough, although I use all three simultaneously at times.)

Tired but happy. Sad I didn't get to stay to watch the sunset but there will be lots of those in our future. We've greeted a number of tenants and they all seem very nice. There were several families with young children, something we didn't expect but are thrilled to see.

Tomorrow we go back in with another load of things we have to carry over, then shopping for a microwave, new everyday dishes, ask Fitness Depot about noise reduction strategies for the treadmill, pick up dd and dsil's, and head to the pulled pork supper at the church after buying the buns for the supper.

Very long and busy day here. I have a small storage unit set up with 3 rectangular tables and the bookcase from my dad's. I moved a lot of stuff up there today and got things set up after moving things around to 3 or 4 different ways. I want to block the doorway most of the way and have a horse shoe pattern or U shape with the tables. Set up blank papers with each paper representing 1 year for a total of 20 years. Finally got it set up where I was satisfied with it and all I have to do now is actually use it. Today I also sorted through a large bag of stuff that needed to be shredded and realized that there were some things that didn't belong. Thank goodness that I went through the bag.

I have changed to all plastic for storage ever since our flood in the master bedroom 4 years ago. So much stuff got tossed really quickly over a period of 3 days. Now that everything is in plastic, it's "dust free" and water proof.

I also shredded a lot of papers tonight. One bag full of garbage and a lot of stuff for the paper recycling container.

Obviously a lot of piles are slowly disappearing from here and now my paper tiger is contained in another cage at a different location.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Got in another rest, DH fixed a fire in the insert & he put the clean sheets on the bed & made the bed fresh. :D I'm SO lucky to have him! :!:

I read 2 short stories in a magazine & liked them both. 1 made me LOL & I figured out the other one before I got 1/2 through. (I know the author & his work). :) I went to lie down in bed,to snooze, but then story titles popped into my head from reading stories & "talking shop" with another story writer. I guess it's good we bounce ideas off each other, which help us be more creative. It's so nice. :)

The bunnies have been chasing the squirrels into circles on the patio all day long & this evening, out in the field, 1 bunny jumps high in the air over another bunny! They're so comical! They love to graze near DH's truck, so when he drove to get the garbage can/recycle bin, he needed to be careful where he STEPPED! :o

A bird bathed in the bird bath today, looking very content & refreshed. :P

Have a nice Friendly Friday! :P
