I went with dh to H D epot and M enards after he got home. We tried to match the tile and had no luck. Our local flooring, decorating store has a large selection of tile, so he going to check there tomorrow on his way home from work. He seems to be excited about our renovations again.
Today dh received a text from our hometown friend that he made the border to border, coast to coast bike trip pact with, several years ago. This friend was not going to be able to go for 2 full weeks on the Pacific NW trip, but was planning to go for a week. He won't be going at all now. Last week he was working by himself and fell down a ravine. He tore his rotator cuff, tendons, etc. plus hurt his foot and minor injuries. He was able to crawl up the embankment and get to his pickup. He didn't know where the hospital was in the town he was working near. So he drove 40 miles to our hometown hospital. He had a cell phone and didn't think to use it to call for help. Workmans comp is dragging their feet. He will be laid up for some time. I am just glad that he survived. I have known him and his twin since they were in kindergarten.

Hope your friend can recover soon, Lilac. Could you just have a nice vacation together at a rustic place in the Ozarks sometime?
I bought a news stand copy today at the bookstore, Ivy. The cashier and I chatted about it, wondering if it is subscription-worthy for us.
Sadie, that's nice you "graduated" from PT.
Such nice news from your dgdaughters and son, Sunny.
Dd34 is dilated 3 centimeters, which was not the case Friday, so things are changing. Both she and midwife decided there is no reason to think things will happen quickly, since with little britches' (the most recent) birth it was still a couple days to wait after this stage.
Dd15 intends to go in to school tomorrow morning (a half day for the last day of school) but be ready to leave, with no more responsibility, if I come to pick her up. At that point, she would be able to leave with me whenever. HRH has a meeting at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow that he doesn't want to miss, but other than that could see us off at most hours. I truly hate to leave him alone but dstepson will be hanging out with him some. I especially don't want HRH doing things like mowing the lawn when he's the only one around.

Lilac...
I came back to suggest a vacation, but see Harriet had beat me to it...
I was going to suggest finding a cabin or such to rent for a month. That would give ya'll time to explore the area and perhaps your DH might find that it satisfies his needs and you wouldn't be away from too long.
Sweetie and I are planning another trip for this Sept. We have several places in SC and Northern Fla we are considering. We are scoping out different areas because at some point we plan to move that way. The deal I made with Sweetie when I moved here to be with him was I had no intention of dying in the desert. This Southern girl need some ocean air and sand between her toes before she dies

Lights out in a minute. Tired but feel today went well.
Tomorrow is the scary day. Will everything fit? I don't think it will.

Re: Movin' Monday
I am back from a mid. Level walk. My friend & her guy were out of sorts bsgged off the last part of it when I could.
Dinner a nice change soup h, had chicken from lunch.
Have changed color on the round tote I am making so now I can do the draw strings on the others I made today.
Spiffed up the kit.
Putting away the bag if wool made a big difference.
I cannot believe how fast the field has turned from green to gold.

Waving to all.
Best wishes to Kathryn and Ken - May you experience many blessings at your new abode, and may things go smoothly from here on.
Hugs for Harriet's family - esp DD34. Best wishes for the future 'moving on' and happy arrivals there.
Today was moving Tuesday for me. Finally - yard nearest house got mowed. Weed seed had been walking in the door with ddog every time he came in.

Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.
