12:15 update... Made & ate breakfast and brewed some iced tea, but other than that did nothing but surf the net till 11:45. (Four of the sites I read regularly had updates, and then I checked FB, but then after that, it was just aimless surfing.... ) Then spent :15 making l**ts for the girls; they can't very well chip in around here if they don't know what I want done. And now, I'm spending :15 here.

(((Hugs back))) to helia! I think your kids have grown up more than mine! (Well, they're older, anyhow!) How close is your son to graduating from college?

Good, too, to see Nancy, Ramblinrose/Cowinkie (which shall we call you?), and LadyM as well!

Hmm... still about :06 to QATH as I type this... going to transfer the l**ts from my phone to paper so the girls can actually see them. Then I should get something going in the crock for dinner if I can find a recipe that won't take too long to cook, given how late I'm starting it. Then I'll spend :15 working on the bookshelves in the living room -- I finally gave up on making built-ins & got a couple from IKEA -- it may only be 5 months from purchase to actually having books on them.... Any time left between then & TOTH (will depend on how long it takes to get the crock going), I'll spend working on updating my cards.

Your girls certainly have probably grown a lot since pictures I have of them with dgdnow19! She's going to a close Christian college, studying to be a pediatric nurse, Mystery. She's taking summer courses and will begin her 2nd year this fall as an almost Junior. She's really doing well -her Mom would be so proud! I'm also pleased to see her choose nursing and pediatrics to boot. Sure her Mom and db had a lot to do with that choice.

Dh is back for lunch. This is his "day off", but suffice it to say, I've barely seen him today.

When I click "view active topics" it does not load all of them like before any suggestions?

Back in from 2 rounds of pulling weeds. Taking a breather now. Trying to get along the back fence line and counting that for some arm exercises!

Nancy, I've also commented on the same issue. I'm clicking on "See new posts" but I think if you don't ck in for awhile topics age out of that page?

At least that round is done.

Mystery, I usually get a very late start on Mondays. Even tho I was up before 7 it was hard to get rolling.

-deal with 10 pieces of paper
-call for hair appt
-make call re: dsis' house/Medicaid
-s2s
-clear kitchen table and breakfast bar

Ds will graduate college in 2 years, Mystery. Then, I know he wants to go to grad school, but he doesn't know which degree he wants to pursue yet. Fortunately, he doesn't need to decide that now. Dd18 starts at the Univ. this fall.

Not much progress, but the a.m. routine is almost done. I have sprayed some antibiotic spray more or less on Maia's raw neck.

I find it hard to get a running start on Mondays too, no matter how early I get up, Twins.

You all are exploring here a lot more than I am! I'm happy to have a place to post my piddly progress. :)

Still working on TOTH update; dd is using my computer, and it takes longer on the phone. (I am not one of these texters with flying fingers; in fact, I don't text at all.) Will start some lunch and keep working on the update.

Good morning all. We were up at 4:45 for our morning walk. We are now cocooned in the house with the AC. I have a lol spinning but need to find the kitchen counter yet.

Finally found my purple dress and the village looks just like before. I feel right at home.

Ramblinrose You should be good to go now.

I've swept the whole apartment, cleaned the bathrooms (just toilets and sinks), swept the balconies (you'd be surprised at how many spiders there are) and dusted the whole apartment. Some tidying happened while I was working.

Am quite sore now but still not the same as before. Less afraid of standing up than I was. All that was only 2K steps, at least 1K less than at the house.

Time for some lunch. I'm starving.

Mystery Welcome back! Nice to see you. Yes, I moved from our house of 24 years to a 2 bedroom plus den, 3 bath, formal dining room, 2 balcony, apartment on the 22nd floor! Unbelievable view (probably the best in the city) but a bit higher than I wanted and no pool. Not really luxury in its appointments (which we wanted) but did we mention the view?!!!! The movers dropped things off just 20 days ago and I am almost settled. Now I need to get back into my old routines (the good ones, not the bad ones!)

City life suits me (but we already knew that from our travels.) A bonus, this is just a few miles from the area I grew up in. In fact, each time we come down Island Park Drive, I can't believe that I live here now. As a child it was the posh area that I could only marvel at as we'd drive by. Now it is my home. The apartment building has the same population as our village in the country, and includes a fabulous small shop in the building that has fresh fruits and veggies along with the junk food!

I've done a fair amount of lollygagging about but checked on dmom's meds refill (not done), her bank accounts, credit card, temple bank acct and my bank acct. Also had a healthy lunch.

-s2s
-reboot laundry
-make the bed
-refill meds containers
-purge refrigerator
