Certainly missing sherinjoy and her posts with so much kindness in them. She hasn't chatted with us since HRH's ddad's death in February, although she did come in and check on us in late June.

Birthday to Harmony, lucylee and sherinjoy today!

lucylee, you should report on your walking count for the year so far in H and F to give encouragement - that sounds really consistent.

Was just thinking of Harmony's hospital and nursing home visiting, and knowing she will be glad when she can get back to it. Maybe none of that housekeeping/cleaning for others, though, for a while! Get well soon.

I have today to get things done and recover from the long trip yesterday, then we are leaving tomorrow morning for a weekend trip for our anniversary. DD will dog sit for us, but we are also driving home on Sunday and then back to the resort so we can attend an "unveiling" at the cemetery and then luncheon with friends afterward. (In Jewish tradition the unveiling of the monument marks a year of mourning - in this case they didn't wait a year but are doing it now in better weather.) The one way trip is 2.5 hours, so we'll spend 5 hours travel, but it can't be helped.

Today Macs has PT at 11 (because we won't be here on Sat) and then I need to do the rounds, sign cks at temple, pick up meals for dmom and visit her. I also have a pretty healthy to-do list, including going by Petsmart for something to treat our downstairs floors. Yesterday an unnamed dog, probably Moses, had all kinds of "accidents" while I was away. I left around 8 and dh got home just before 6, but we had pee and poop on the floors and throw up on a rug. :o Not sure what is going on here - night before last Moe again was noisy during the night, but he did have a BM yesterday morning before I left. DH was the lucky guy who cleaned it all up. Also need to do some treating of upstairs carpet for the day he got upstairs and threw up. :o So busy day, I don't know how much I'll get done, tho, with errands out of the house also, and recovery time from the long trip.

Visit to dsis went okay - per care plan meeting she has lost weight - about 20 pounds from her highest pt - and they have adopted measure to monitor wt and encourage her to eat more. She told me that she's having trouble feeding herself, I'm not sure whether it's a tremor or general weakness in the arms, but I believe her after watching her eat ice cream while we were out. So I need to call them and let them know that - she said she had told the health aides, but I probably should reiterate with the nursing staff.

Dropping off stuff for ds was uneventful - probably didn't spend 3 minutes with him. His lasagne casserole was still frozen - I packed it frozen in the cooler with ice under, around and over, then cardboard over because the cooler wasn't full. The ice cubes on top of the foil were frozen together. I also dropped off his altered pants, pressed shirts, game controller and Starbucks instant coffee. I had a little time to kill because he didn't get out of class until 5:30, so I stopped off at a large outlet mall for a little retail therapy for fall clothes.

So an okay day. I was away from home for 12 hours in all.

-breakfast
- meds/vitamins
-start a lol
-get ready to head out with Macs
-start kitchen clean up, don't know if I'll have time to finish all

Happy birthday to Harmony, Lucylee and Sherinjoy!

I'm up. But then again it is almost 11, I should be.

Nothing more to report although I have been winter coat shopping, online round (will do in-store round later.)

Sent emails to kids re: storage and ds's birthday tomorrow. Looks like it won't be a family thing.

Need to remember I have to drive ds and TGF to the airport on Saturday. He hasn't asked for a ride yet. But it makes sense for him to have one.

Off to the house today to wash the car and do some sorting of stuff. New owners will meet us there.

I'm coughing a bit and have an extremely sore side/front but it can't be from coughing so I'm not sure what is up. Will cut back on Vitamin C a bit in case it is something internal.

Where are you Sherinjoy? We need more West Coasters on here. (Hope you didn't have earthquake damage.) :(

Running errands today (and yesterday) and had my Dr.s appointment yesterday. I think I will live.
