Hens are happy they got fed.

I need to mow and make the bed.
I need to look at jeans and get my size off the old ones.

Just finally got our internet to come back on. Think it's nominal at best in the campground -and for this we pay all these $$?

Rained earlier but it's fairly calm right now. There's a raft race here in about 40 minutes. Haven't made up my mind whether to go or not -dh is.

Just finished doing up the dishes.

Opened dh's medicine that came yesterday. It was funny because the Ex Scripts computer called Friday & said it would be sent in 5-10 days. But when I opened the package there was billing for the bottle????? It's supposed to be taken automatically, but every once in a while one comes through with money due? Does anyone else get this (that is of course you deal with this same company.) But at least things are better than up to a year ago when I had so much trouble even GETTING a prescription without going through a thousand channels.

Clambake is this afternoon. Wasn't going to go -dh and DS-R have both ordered clams. DDIL#1 and I were going to fix dinner. But she's gone on a wine tour with others from the wedding we'll be attending in 3 weeks. So we'll do it tomorrow. Sounds better to me -so I'll have potatoes, corn & a hot dog at the clam bake. No clams for this ol' gal.

Guess next up (now that I have internet again) is to look online and see if I still owe $$ to Ex Scripts.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TWINS AND MR. TWINS

I was CUOP from last night and Elizabeth set me to laughing. ("Snark Alert" if you didn't read it.)

Glad Lucylee's and Rosie's teams won yesterday. Our SF Giants won last night against Milwaukee and Jake Peavey had a NONO going until the 8th inning and some Brewer spoiled it for him! Our Nevada WolfPack also won yesterday so we are happy.

Today is ironing day, so I best get some breakfast down Mr. Guy and then get started. I just hate to see the board sitting upright in my dining room and the vacuum sitting in the front room. Doesn't he take the hint? I'll give him a break as he is still recovering from knee replacement.

Hello to Nancy, Lilac, Dee, Kathryn, Norma & RRose!

We had a nice visit with dfam#1 yesterday. It had been two weeks since we've seen them. The dgkids are all happy back in school. After supper we played a game called Left, Center, Right. It's fun and everyone liked it.

No visit today from dfam#2, though. Ds called this morning to say that ddil has her last two papers to write. They are due by tomorrow evening, but this will finish up her requirements for Spec. Ed. certification except for student teaching, which she will do Jan. thru May 2015.

So that gives me time today to finish up focus work in porch/entryway. I also will check the calendar to see what is scheduled for the week.

HAPPY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TO TWINS' MOM + TWINS' DAD! Have a Super Day ALL day, too! ♥ ♥

I woke up at 7:30 a.m., s2s, started a letter, will finish it later, after I've done a few more things. I finished reading Shirley Jones' memoir, which was an eye-opener! Very graphic, personal, and a bit raw i places, but a good read nevertheless.

I don't have LOL to do today, unless I can get DH's jeans off him and then I'll wash his jeans with mine. I'd like to wash bathroom rugs and sweep and mop bathrooms, but I'm a bit tired. I got to sleep at 1 a.m., then woke in the wee a.m. hours for about 1 hour, and am too tired to do much today, other than write letters, crochet, and read. I like to take it easier on Sundays anyway, as it's my Spirit Renewal Day.

Elizabeth's post gave me a good dose of the giggles before I w et to bed last night.

Nancy... If you get one of those coffee machines also buy the plastic single cup contains you can load yourself with your own coffee. Much cheaper in the long run and then you can buy any coffee you want. I bought two at w mart. They were about $4.99 a piece. I "load" mine at night and then pop one in my maker in the morning. I like to treat myself to Starbucks so I buy a bag of their coffee and use my cups to make it. Sometimes I mix good coffee with something that's on sale. And since I'm not really a coffee snob I can stretch it and make it last longer.

I have a naggy headache today... My fault as I didn't take my meds as soon as I should have... Thought with coffee and some sinus meds I could make it go away.

Lucylee... That's so exciting abt your ddil winning those earrings. What a happy memory that will make. Saw pictures on the news last night of the thunder storm that rolled in causing the delay for your game. Gotta say it was really bad looking. Glad no one got hurt, but bet all those girls who where all gussied up wishes they had worn something different for the game.. Hard to walk in mud with three inch spike heels
