FF -- LOL @ disturbing each other's sleep. The problem w/us is, dh says when he awakens ME, I fall back to sleep almost immediately -- and that is true. Most of the time, I can sleep just about anywhere under any conditions. DH says when HE is awakened, he is then awake for the night.

That is not completely true, but he does have a harder time going back to sleep than I do, and it is partly his own fault, b/c he starts tossing and turning and huffing and puffing. I tell him, "Just breathe. Count your breaths... Breathe in 1-10... Breathe out 1-10." Sigh. He doesn't listen to me.
Sounds like a long day but good experience at the school, Harriet, so I hope the phone calls aren't too tiresome and you get a good night's rest.
I don't change paintings or much of anything for the seasons, Kathryn, but I have to say I am sooo glad I returned home from dmil's with a beautiful painting that one of her best friends did for her years ago, and I have now hung it in my dining room. I am so happy about this, b/c the friend was also a cousin and dfriend of my maternal grandmother's -- and plus -- the colors look great in my house. Dbil was satisfied to let me have it. Said he would take one that one of their cousins did. And then I found another one by the friend, so if he or one of his children want that, they can have one by this lady also.
OH DRAT. Laundry. Now I want to huff and puff. I have just pretty much pretended laundry did not exist for the past week. Oh good gracious. I've got to get a load started before this night is over.
* sheesh *
I am definitely impressed with TA and his children! Wow! And childcare is nothing to sneeze at. Beautician today mentioned that she is spending about $400 p/month on childcare for just one child. I must mention to ds/ddil that ds being Mr. Mom most of the time is saving them that much -- and that comes out to what -- over $4500 a year. I know ddil thinks we could just keep dgs all the time -- and we would, before we'd let them spend that much $$ w/us both retired -- but OTOH, we do NOT want to be 9-5 babysitters all day every day.
Hope everything works out for TA and ds to get the house/basement apartment. I agree -- co-signing the lease could be troublesome.
Waving to Nancy... Twins... Elizabeth... and EVERYONE else!!!
Hectic day here -- haircuts, then ds came over and he and I walked/he ran... and then he left to teach banjo lessons and we kept dgs until we all gathered together again at dmil's.
Tomorrow -- high school football game. It's out of town, but I think dh wants to go. We shall see. We will have to invite dbil to go with us if we do.
No football Saturday but we are invited to an 70th? 75th? birthday party for a dfriend, so we will probably go to that, for at least a couple of hours. He's really much closer to ds than to us, but with ds out of town, we feel we should make an appearance. The dfriend invited us personally, and his "girlfriend" also invited us, so you know... we need to go.
