Once again I spent a bad night! Was awake from 11:30-4:30 and beyond. Dh finally got up & came out to the living room about then. I read for a while at that point & drifted off till about 7. Came out here and snoozed till after 8.

Have had meds & breakfast (sipping coffee now) and made a DPC. Called the state E-Z Pass line AND got a real person right away -how did that happen? I needed to know if I had to change our car description on our pass and I had expended my number of tries for a pin. Guy was very helpful and updated all our info -including address and phone number. Still had us back on Washington St. Sold that in '09. Wow! 5 years already or almost.

Have to go grocery shopping today and to get a shower gift for our pastor. Shower is Saturday at a local Inn. Not much to pick from. And since she's been keeping house for a number of years and the groom (a member of our congregation is a widower) & they will live in the parsonage, their needs are small.

Off to look at their registry again. Trouble is the only thing I see is 20 miles one way and I need to go 25 miles the opposite direction.

Editing few minutes later. Went to Tar jay to view registry and have a clock being set aside at guest services -in the same city where I had planned to go. So now to dress and get myself going.

I'm up, and s2s. Bed is remade, dishwasher and dish drainer emptied, laundry has begun to be piled. Ds is still asleep so I think I might slip in and get my first load through the washer before he gets up.

Having tea and chocolate now (didn't get out of bed until 8:30 and then did other things before settling down for my tea.)

After lunch I need to take the car to a mechanic to determine why the Check Engine light is on. (It's time for the oil to be changed so I would have had to take it in this month anyway.)
This morning I will do prep work for tomorrow's sewing group meeting and charity sewing meeting.

My 5x5:
* Make sure all Treasurer paperwork is ready for sewing group meeting.
* Decide which sewing tools I will need tomorrow
* Pack a tote bag with book and newspapers for mechanic's waiting room
* Clean kitchen
* Car to the mechanic

And, since I don't know how long the car repair will take, that's all I can plan. Normally I would do other errands either before or after the mechanic while I'm in The Big City, but I can't think of anywhere else I need to go today. I am not at all in the mood for window shopping.

If the car repair doesn't take too long, I might go to Tar g et to see what they carry for SodaStream supplies. We need another bottle, and it looks like current prices on am az on are higher than wm.

I slept in a bit this morning - it was still only 8:20 when the ddogs got me up. I've read the paper and surfed online a bit. So glad to be able to be home mostly today. Probably need a run to grocery store and I'll make Shabbat dinner for us.

Dcleaning lady will be here later today, not at 9 a.m. thankfully.

Right now:
-walk ddogs
-breakfast + meds/vitamins
-clean up kitchen
-straighten Gr room
-straighten MBR

Dee - POTB for getting those things taken care of. I hope you have a better night sleep tonight.

I've been off schedule getting things put away from yesterdays shopping trip. I didn't have the energy to do it last night. I might have "crossed a line" into crazy & weird. I'm not comfortable with it, but want to know the information enough to put aside my feeling of unease and foolishness. I have started using a permanent marker on newly purchased items to mark date purchased and price paid. I have done this for a couple months and find the feed-back helpful and informative. Not sure I really NEED to know this information, but I'll continue to do it for awhile. The other day in the grocery store I marked the items as I put them into the grocery cart. Holding the items in my hand to mark on it caused me to LOOK at the expiration date of the item.

Things I learned today =
Fresh Bananas cost $.19 each
Fresh Plums cost $.63 each
Romaine lettuce head cost $.66 each

Food really is cheap. There is NO WAY I would put the time/effort of raising any of that produce and sell it for that price.

Also keeps me from 'looking around' and doing any 'impulse' buying. I should try this more often when I have particular things I need to fetch. Sure will save time, no doubt and what if they didn't have it....what then? At least I know it's ready and waiting and paid for.

Have to make a W mart run nearly across the street from there and think I'll pick up a small(ish) gift card to go with the clock. At least I know they will be shopping the one near to them and that will save me from getting an additional one at Tar jay.

Kinda waiting for dh to bring me his paycheck. I'm also going right by the bank -it's in the same plaza as Tar jay. Then it's less than 1/2 block to Wmart.

Waiting on hearing from dniece and dxsisil. They arrived in extreme NE New York yesterday afternoon (after ending up at the Canadian border by mistake). I can't imagine -they didn't let dxdisil's dsis know they were coming -all the way from CA. Dniece has planned to come here this week, but I really doubt she realizes it's such a long drive. I know her Mom is about 80/81 and I'm not sure she's up for such a long drive one day and back the next. Having trouble contacting her, because she has her phone shut off because it keeps trying 'roaming' since they're so close to Canada. (They're in Chataguay, Kathryn.) They only have 1 day to come here and asked if they could stay with us? It's not like we have an extra bedroom. Though I guess we could pull out the sofa now that I think about it. But they'd have to share a bed. So, we will see. Once their visit (or not) comes and goes then I will earnestly start getting ready to 'leave'.

I'm doing well at working a little on most of my little projects each day. And they don't seem so overwhelming. Already have cut down the weight at least of some things that will travel with me. Some things I may have dh bring in the truck and then just plan to leave them in FL.

H. needed to take the car to work head lt. Was out. The good news I can keep working on stuff around here in the garden and house.

Yesterday I pruned a few low hanging branches in my way when I walk around the yard. Glad to have that done.

Got an difficult email to answer. Giving it some thought before putting answer into words.

Txt'ing with DFriend who is volunteering to help me clean church tomorrow. We will met at the arena tomorrow 7am. HOpefully it will only take a few hours.

Txt'ing with life long friend wanting me to walk his land tomorrow looking for water. It is raining (YEAH!!!) today and will make for a mucky mess. We will delay the hunt a week and try again next weekend.

Gathered up 6 pairs of jeans from LO closet. **VBSigh** With the weather dropping 30+ degrees, it is time for LO to switch from shorts to long pants. This morning we discovered 6 out of 7 pairs of his jeans are too small. I expected the size he was wearing at the end of winter to be too small, but I didn't expect him to grow 4 sizes bigger! (Little boy jeans increase 2 sizes at a time - 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, etc). Going jean shopping just moved up in priority. It is now right up there with shoe and boot shopping. LO has zero pairs of boots that fit and we are SQUEEZING his foot into his athletic type shoes. One of those pairs of shoes is only a month old. He is definitely going through another growing spurt.

Feels like I'm not getting anything done.

Did some more minor chores (5 min or less each) before having breakfast at 11:30. Singing was at 12 and we did well for our first rehearsal. Somethings sounded really good.

I've had a salad with the rest of the turkey leftovers and read through all the sale flyers.

My knee is really sore so we might stop in and get a brace later today. I have it wrapped with a tensor bandage for now, not really useful.

Just remembered I'm doing Sunday School this week so should look over that as well. If I need to prepare craft supplies I need to pick them up from the church while at the house this afternoon.

My computer is doing some sort of scan so typing is really slow.
