Wow, after I delivered the neighbor's dinner, I went off on a genealogy binge. Online at Ancestry.com, a person that must be a cousin has family photos including some of my grandmother and her parents. I think I know who it is, so I sent her a message on Ancestry. I'm feeling bad because I think she contacted me a long time ago and I never made time to meet with her. Anyway, I sent an email to a cousin checking in on his dad who is my mother's only living sib, and then looked up a cousin of my mother online.

I need to get off the computer and walk the dogs now.

Elizabeth, I may emulate your crisis cleaning jar. I just can't get started on some of these jobs but perhaps permission to work 15 minutes only would be the ticket.

LM, we've never had a waking up experience like that - neither me, dh or dkids. Is LO being released today to home today? That sounds like a very scary time, hoping he's calm and better by now.

LadyM I've never heard of it but Wikipedia tells me it happens to 10 - 13% of children coming out of general anesthetic. So not rate at all.

Back from class. Dh drove me, I walked home. It was raining lightly but I had an umbrella. Took the path from the bus station to the apartment (asphalt path but not lit and between a high-end condo community and a powerline right-of-way. Not sure I'll take it again until after snowfall since there is light from the condos but not enough to feel completely secure. With snow, it will be much better lit. It cuts at least 5 minutes off the walk which is why I took the route. As well, once we get to December it will always be dark (not quite but it is dark from just after 4 pm. to 8 a.m.)

Classes weren't all that interesting tonight because it was the overview night and there was worship to start us off. I did enjoy them and look forward to next week. My assignment this week is to look for symbols in things.

LM... That happened several times with my dad. The first time was really scary...so were the other two times, but at least we understood more when it happened. He was very tired afterwards and it took him a while to clear his head. Later my mom and I would joke about it...only because it was better than admitting how scary it was.

The good news is my father didn't remember any of it....and we were able to tell the drs about my father's reaction so they were prepared for it when he had to have surgery again.

Here's hoping ya'll are feeling much better at this point.

One job applied for. Job search stuff organized. Now, I am going to knock off for the night, it is 830 here. Obviously, I could not get everything done that I wanted. Next up: 15 minutes crisis clean, snack time, then create motif for Anna dress while watching mindless videos.

I used to be afraid of needles and was combative when I oit the diag. Of diab. It took 3 adult men to hold me down before the knick out stuff kicked in down I was bruised from wrists to elbow. I was trying to leave I guess. But I did not cough hum... sure makes one think.

My e-book came in today, so have been reading it. I marched 45 minutes while reading it, after 15 minutes of yoga/Pilates moves and my scoliosis stretch again.

4 letters arrived today, but 1 was so "nutso" that I HAD to throw it away! The lady's off her ever-living rocker. WOW! What an eye-opener!

Good going on the job search stuff, Elizabeth. I admire your dedication!

Wanted to check in to say hello. Another quiet weekend for us. We didn't talk to ds#1; he's on vacation this week, so probably busy with things around their house. Dfam#2 came for supper yesterday, but we mostly just sit and visit after dinner. If there is a baseball game playing that will be on. I did get 3 lol done also.

Late last night ddil called after they got home to ask if we could take dgd12 to school. It seems the ride she had fell through; the dad had to be at his work early, so was taking his son in earlier than dgd could be in her classroom. We got her there at 9 am, stopped at the gas station on the way home. We waited to eat breakfast and feed ddogs till we got home. I spent some time this afternoon doing some knitting. Reading of Nancy's projects inspired me to look up a pattern and I found enough yard to try it. We'll see how it goes, it's been quite a few years since I've done this kind of needlework.

I looked in to cuop a couple of times today and wanted to say I was sorry to hear that LO had a rough time waking from anesthetic. I've heard of this happening; I hope he feels better soon. My oldest son was the only one of the three to have surgery. He was 7 when he had tonsils removed and woke pretty quiet; he was groggy for a while, and they kept him overnight.

MT, it was nice to see you posting and you are recovering well from your procedure.

Dee, I hope your finger is starting to feel better. Hope you visit with your company is going well.

Kathryn, your new classes sound interesting. Glad that ds found an apartment.

My eyes are a little bleary from the close up work....time to rest them.
