Oh, Ramblin', what a tragic happening for the family, for your student and family, for the community.

I transposed the "bottom lines" from the last three months healthy habits into the next calendar/journal. Another part of Desk Day is done as well. Some card work upcoming.

Starting to put things back in bathroom -
Mopped the bathroom floor, cleaned the vanity and worked on the little beads of caulk that were spattered around. I hadn't noticed that before. Delighted to find that one of my menfolk - don't know if HRH, dstepson or dbil - was able to remove a small stain that had been on the counter for months. Perhaps it just took strength.

Oh, had neglected to tell - when dstepson removed the old faucet for the sink, the white gunk underneath was awful! Just the hard-water calcium buildup, and it came away without much effort, but not a pretty picture.

Lynlee, so smart to put extra meals in the freezer when you have the chance.

Thank you very much for our start, LadyM. It also made me think to add a family bday to my planner on date to send the card. Also thankful that by going back through our PWYC posts here I was able to make sure of the date I sent a card a couple years ago, so that I know I do have the right date for the bday.

HRH is having an ultrasound today to check out the kidney stone situation. I might have gone with him, but we were thinking why do that since they won't let me back in the room and it's not very far from here. He had offered to grocery shop with me, though, so I may regret it.

Next up -
make the laundry cards for the last 3 months of year
keep organizing in bathroom lower cabinet

Yes Dee..depending on the style and bag. It will say under the dispaly window how big each bag is and/or whether there is a size option.

The one I'm looking at is a 5.5x5.5

http://www.hipzbag.com/collections/fann ... dy-handbag

But if you're looking at the original bags, the sizes are 4.5x4.5 as well as 5.5x5.5

http://www.hipzbag.com/collections/fann ... dy-handbag

I don't know which one you are considering though, so I thought I would mention it to you.

Good Morning, All. Happy Birthday to Sunny and CathyS.

DH is at "Breakfast with the Boys". A lot of people are coming back so they had to take more than one car today. During the summer the numbers went down to 3. He will come back with all the gossip. (who says men don't gossip)

I made great progress in the den yesterday. I was able to clean off the 6 ft. table that I have been using for a sewing table. I also packed up the sewing machine to donate. I bought it at a garage sale a few years ago and the tension won't stay set. I'm going to splurge and get myself a new one. Just a straight stitch or maybe a simple zigzag. Mostly for quilting and/or making decor items.

Anyway this morning, I brought the table out to the kitchen and emptied my storage cupboard on it. The last few times I opened the cupboard - - a moth flew out. Yep. Some organic granola that my son sent me. So out it went along with anything else that had been opened. I checked over all the bagged stuff that wasn't opened like noodles, rice, etc. and they looked ok. After the cupboard was emptied, I sprayed, waited an hour and washed it all out. Now everything is neatly stored back in the cupboard and all the categories are stored together. I won't find the spaghetti with the cake mixes any more.

As long as I had the table, I emptied the bottom cabinet where small appliances and misc. things are stored. Think I can donate some of those, too. They are still out as my back was complaining after bending over to clean that one out. I want to wipe it out and then put things back neatly. Several things will go in DH's cupboard in the garage.

Today is supposed to be bedroom cleaning - but it will just have to wait till next week. The cupboards took priority.

Wow MT...you've really been busy. WTO with everything you've accomplished. Has your area turned really green again after all this rain??? I know mine has.

Dee...just ordered my bag and found the site offers a key ring clip for a dollar, so I ordered it too. Boy what a deal. I found it in the Other products place.

RR: It is not only green but yellow.
The little weeds are blooming up a storm. DH has been out with the burner to get them out of the yard. We decided if we burned them while they were in bloom, we wouldn't get weed seeds in our rocks.

My palo verde trees have decided to bloom again. Not the all flowers of spring but a flower here and there all over the tree. Looks pretty and we appreciate flowers at any time.

I have to get back to the kitchen as I was sidetracked looking at new sewing machines on A.

I'm dressed, ate breakfast, did the weekly kitchen chores, including mopping the floor. The floors here need mopping way more often than at the house. Perhaps every 4 - 5 days as opposed to every 2 - 3 weeks at home. They are light coloured and the tile seems to show every drop of water spilled on them. On the other hand, the apartment currently needs to be dusted way less.

The dining table is now a mess because I moved all the papers from the kitchen counter to the dining room. I'll let the floor dry for another 20 minutes or so and then make myself some sort of lunch.

I did weigh myself between tea and chocolate and cereal and am pleased to see that I'm maintaining my weight.

I'm reading "How to Never Look Fat Again" about how to dress slimmer. Will need to spend some time in my closet. This is Charla Krupp's companion book to "How Not to Look Old" and I still need to go over the accessories chapter in that one with all my accessories. From my brief reading today, I see I need to cull more from my closet. In general, I think I knew a lot of the facts already but it is good to see illustrations of it. For this book, in each chapter there is a "don't" picture and a "do" picture side by side. Basically the same outfit (in one it was the same brand/style of t-shirt but in a better size and colour) so it gives a very visual guide to what I should be looking for in my clothing and cements the "why" of her comments.

That being said, there is no way I'm giving up low-heeled or flat shoes despite her contention that they make my legs look fatter. I've spent far too much time these past two years limping and I don't want to deliberately make choices that are universally understood by doctors to be bad for my mobility. And I can't spend my whole makeover budget on Spanx (seemingly her solution for everything in both books - she says she has over 20 pairs of ones that deal with waist down and that doesn't count the ones that deal with waist up and sometimes recommends wearing one overtop of another in cases where you really have to look firm.) To start with, I want to be able to breathe. Secondly, I'm not sure they make them in my size. When I hit my goal weight in 1999, I was still a bit jiggly so bought a slip from there and it seems to me I had to buy a large. Since I'm weighing 50 pounds more than that now, I don't see how I could fit into any of them if they are sized so small.

I was up and out of the house early today - for me at least. Was up at 7 and left here around 8:45 - went to bank and McD, then picked up shortened skirts and signed cks at the temple. Was home to walk Moses, then took Macs to PT and filled up with gas on the way, and got there early.

Now I want to collapse, and I still have a full day ahead! When I head out again, I need to :
-go to other synagogue to drop of cks
-go to JCC to p/u dmom's meals
-visit dmom
-back to temple to sign more cks (long story...I wasn't told there would be more later today...)
-groceries
-office supply store for printer cartridges
-wash car? (supposed to rain tomorrow or Sat but it would still look better than it does now.)

I think I'll give myself a little more down time and head out....

Happy, Happy Birthdays to our Sunny and CathyS!
