It took forever for me to clue into Elizabeth's news. I'm so happy for her. Is the State job the one the interviewer said he'd be looking for how you'd best fit is or that a 3rd possible position?

Your patience and dedication to the job search have been a great example to all of us to persevere with grace.

Back from class. My sin class is led by a great chaplain so we opened and closed with prayer which is really comforting when it is such a disturbing topic. My symbols class is fascinating and I take reams of notes each week. The teacher is ADD so we go all over the place with interesting side trips.

Enjoyed my walk both to and from. Did the mile in 16 minutes which is nice and fast. I've managed over 11K steps today because of the walk to the store earlier today plus all the tidying.

Time to head to bed. I still have a lot to do before 10:30 tomorrow but the place is looking a bit better. Dh mounted my under cabinet lights tonight so that messy wiring is cleaned up. And the last of our striking clocks was hung up earlier today.

Sure hope you'll get a job soon, Elizabeth! Any more good news on the job search front this evening. Good luck! :)

It sounds like folks don't get flu shots because they don't have underlying health issues or they know someone who had a bad reaction to a vaccine. For me, since I have underlying health problems, I'd much rather get my shot, at age 62.5 years, than risk getting quite ill, with my asthma, fibromyaliga, etc... I think it's best for me to be as proactive as I can be, at my age, throughout the winter months, especially. I'd hate to be laid up in bed for 2 - 3 weeks or worst: get pneumonia.

Kathryn, Your sin class sounds very interesting! :!: :)

It was 78* here today, very sunny, DH mowed, and it was a lovely day all day, and this evening, too. :D

Dee, that's too bad you got shingles, regardless of the vaccine in the study. :o :( It's so nice how drug studies pay for appt.s, lab visits and meds. DH is on a diabetic drug study, I was on an IBS one, but decided never again- for me. Mainly because of the distance traveled to the clinic, everything reported, nominal pay, only 1 ink pen, when DH gets ALL sorts of stuff and GOOD pay for his studies! :!: :)

LadyM, So sorry about that long wait! :o :(

Lucylee, Sorry to hear about the excema. :( Hope you get the cream soon and it takes care of the problem.

I s2s, shampooed, got DGS-3.5's afghan done, except for the border, but that's because Gma (me!) is finally doing something FOR HERSELF! :!:  I have a pink 2-strand hat, so I'm crocheting a pink 2-strand scarf to match, for October's Cancer Awareness month. I got out a shocking pink daisy pin to wear on my collar of a lilac cord shirt-jacket and pink/gold dream-catcher earrings, to match. :D Told DH, "DGD-21-months, doesn't need to use up ALL my pink yarn all the time!" ;)

We're watching The Seahawks play the WA Redskins now. So far, we're winning, with 11 minutes to go in the game. I'm wearing my Seahawks colors, matching beaded necklace and earrings I've made myself, too. I'd sure love to find a helmet hat pattern, to make it into Seahawks colors. But it's NOT mandatory, as I crocheted myself a skull cap in those colors, earlier this year. :)

I did some research on-line, have more to do, and a Nook e-book to read on Hypothyroidism, too. I had a loss this a.m., haven't been snacking after dinner tonight, so am hoping to hold my own for tomorrow, too. I see the Dr. in 11 more days, so hoping to have a loss on his scales, compared to last time, when I'd had a gain. This e-book teaches you (they SAY), how to lose weight with this disorder, which foods to avoid, to make your level better and cut out on fatigue, too. :) Sounds good, IMHO. :)

My morning card is out, states: TA-DAH TUESDAY! :D Hoping to get some ta-dah's in tomorrow, instead of "almost" ta-dah's.  Have a nice evening, Everybody! :D
TTFN. ;)

Wore my Seahawks shirt today. Last load of laundry in the dryer. Simple dinner done. Got the crochet pattern figured out, still working on the knit one.
