Tuesday Ta-Dahs!

Post by Kathryn-in-Canada »

I need some ta-dahs. I'm hoping some of you do too and will work alongside me today.

My goal is 1 ta-dah for each waking hour. And I've decided a nap doesn't count!

Slept really poorly last night and not for long so I'm starting the day 'behind.'

Up because I have to be to take my meds.

Tummy is upset too. Had a mild headache all night. If I had to guess the headache is caused by the tummy not the other way around.

I can have a little something to eat (no milk, zinc, iron.... the list goes on) in 30 minutes and am counting down the minutes. I'll try a cup of tea now but since I take milk in black tea will have to go with herbal or green.

My ta-dah for 6 - 7 was folding the laundry. I might try and put the pressure fit bar back up in the laundry room (it fell down while we were away, probably because too much ironing was hung up on it.) I hang a lot off the bar and that stuff is taking up the 4 square feet of floor space in there so I couldn't get me and the basket in front of the dryer.

Edited to add: couldn't figure out the bar in the laundry room so will leave that for dh. Did take a few minutes to put away the last of the serving dishes from Thanksgiving dinner and tidied up the buffet drawer so I'm familiar with its contents. I also hung up a Halloween decoration on the front door. Not technically allowed but a few others have decorations up.

Having tea and chocolate now.

Good morning, villagers ~
Thanks for opening the thread, Kathryn. I like your goal of 1 Ta-Dah! per hour. I'll play along with you today.

1st Ta-Dah 5:30-6:30am: Folded the load of kitchen towels from the dryer, put them away, and started a load of jeans in the washer.

'mornin' Kathryn, and a sunny hello to Ken.
Funny that the In Canadas have prohibited decor on their door.

lucylee, drink enough water, so that whatever causes the itchies may be swept from your system more quickly.

Frustrated last evening to have to run an errand to grocery. Always some little thing. I have a coupon for that store if I spend $50 ($10 off). But it was a rush trip and I realized I didn't need to be running around trying to spend money. Will save it for a planned purchase.

Back from school run. I may be traveling with HRH to his kidney stone check up (so that may be my next hour's Ta-Dah). Have my menus planned for the day.

Added to the week's agenda is my need for a hair trim. May get that done today.

My 7:30 hour was to s2s, make the bed, take my meds. Ta-dah! That's done. Now on to breakfast and sip a cup of java. I'll try to have one (at least) ta-dah per hour too, Kathryn. My plan is to stay home today. Know I'm tired out but am getting more rested. The 'great room' is in dire need of attention so plan to take one surface at a time and concentrate on getting that area up to snuff. Dsonil has obviously decided that all places in there are substituting for his closet. DD is not amused. Oh but now "Mom" is here and he'll fall in (eventually).

7 - 8 - started a load of laundry. And made the bed although I don't think that should count. Also started making notes from Drop Dead Healthy but it took more than the 15 minutes I allotted to the task.

8 - 9 - flipped the laundry, ate breakfast, finished the note-taking. That finishes the note-taking from the 5 self-improvement library books I had. I've been renewing them repeatedly (finished reading weeks ago, but wanted to take notes!)

Still have 20 minutes left in this hour but will probably get dressed. Tummy is a little more settled now that I've eaten.

Keep feeling better, Kathryn.

Talked to dh for about 10 minutes. Said he had a very good day (fiscally) yesterday. Over an $800 day. He had returnable cans/bottles to take on, scrap and did 5 winterizations. Did 9 of those on Sunday! Said he'd done 43 so far. Was talking about closing ours up this weekend and going to stay with DS-A for a few days. But that depends on how sick they all are. DS, no surprise here, came back from their cruise very sick. Did say that dcampowner is shutting the water down on October 30th instead of the 31st. Dh isn't sure that means they'll get it all done that day or some (blowing out the lines) the next. Now he's at least talking about PERHAPS taking 3 days to drive down -which I'm hoping for. Know campowner wants to get done as he has air reservations on the 3rd.

My ta-dah that hour was to get the clean dishes put away and to eat breakfast (can that count?).

I've listed the items in the entryway -there are 3 big pieces of furniture (a melodian, an antique sewing machine and the desk dh made in high school). There are a couple other pieces but small. I put one in each hour -have no doubt I'll do better than that -I'm just not pushing myself today. After the entry I'll move on to the living room. The worst is probably the dining room -at least it looks it right now. I know that probably nothing will take me as long as I think.

Have a round table sitting in the entryway (one they bought for $10 from the Caribbean Beach Club at Disney -really nice) that is going out to their screened porch. But first we have to remove the too large rectangular table that's out there.

I see a lot to be done, but reminding myself that each 'ta-dah' I accomplish is that much better than it was. So off I go to do that first 'ta-dah'>>>>>>>>>>>>>
