As you may have guessed, I got out to the pool this morning. It was a shower day and I hate the apartment shower so much, it is motivation to get swimming.

Did my 30 minutes of not drowning, showered, took my pill and then headed home to redress for church. I had enough time to get makeup on. Yay! I really worked at making all my motions as efficient as possible.

On our way to church now (I'm using my mobile internet stick in the car.)

Given my good start to the day, I suspect it will go swimmingly.

Stomach seems a bit better today, I'd say about 50% better. I'll know better when I add milk back into my diet (I left it and iron out entirely yesterday.)

Glad you're feeling better Kathryn and that you got your swim in.

I'm getting ready to head outside to do some yard work. May join a group to do an evening hike...would love to go, but it will depend on how hot it gets during the day.

For those of you who are Glenn Campell lovers...here's a link to an interview with his wife. Very moving on many levels. I beleive the interview video is worth watching and very inspiring especially if you believe in faith.

And this is the last song Glenn sings at the closing of his Good Bye Tour. However he hasn't performed since last year. The song was written by him. Amazing considering Glenn was in Stage 2-4 of his Alzheimer’s disease when he wrote it. He is now in a Memory facility here in Pheniox and in stage 6.

Church was good.

At the last moment, the musician asked if I had the music for a certain anthem, and I did so handed it to dh. Service started (without her going over it with us) and dh and I kept sight reading the music in our heads until time for the anthem when we sang it for the very first time listening to the music for real. We did OK, not great but fantastic considering we had never heard the music!

At lunch now. Then my service.

Got up, s2s, ate, etc... had coffee, and now I'm on my way to do snail mail, crochet, and write a story by hand, for Valentine's Day, which I have plotted out.

Our storm was a rockin' & a rollin' here last night, with lights blinking, and the wind roaring in the 120-feet tall timber on our hill 300 feet in back of the house. Sounded like trucks or a train! I'm glad the power didn't go out. The Saturday Night Live show had Jim Carrey on it, too funny, and shockingly funny. Oh, my.

DH is watching the Seahawks. I'm not- right now- because the last 2 games I've sat their and rooted for them, but they lose. I dressed up in Seahawks colors, too, but to no avail, because they lost both times. I must be doing some BAD mojo for them. Hoping they can pull it off today. They keep falling back further and further in the standings.

Oh, well. At least DH's World Series is GREAT! I'm for the Giants, DH is for the Royals, and really, it doesn't matter, as long as it's just a good series of games.

Oh, I'm all-of-a-sudden tired now. Dunno what came over me. Just had coffee, too. Oh, well. Maybe I need to move and not sit here.

Wayne and I are tackling our spare room. Lots of boxes and plastic tote boxes. Wayne is a hunter, and a fisherman and also does carpentry... so lots of tools of all sorts to be "found" and organized which I have no knowledge of. Right now he is sorting fishing reels, measuring tapes and "stuff".

Yesterday we got a few small pieces of furniture from my dad's. I double checked all the cupboards and closets and discovered that the laundry room still had all the soaps, bleach and fabric softeners still under the sink. I consolidated everything from everywhere and put it all on the kitchen counters for my brother to deal with. He is there today.

Groceries have been bought and put away.

Tomorrow is a day of dreaded phone calls for me to deal with. UGH!

Watching seahawks vs cardinals play neither team is playing swimmingly today.

Got out to the shop and cleaned it out a bit, organized some and that seemed to help. We are thinking how we can put stuff in the utility trailer. I had fun looking on u tube for jeep camping ideas fun this morning!

H is thinking about building another camp trailer he has done several each one is better than the last one! It is exciting to think about wd kept most of our gear too. I was joking about bringing six hens with! My only concern where to put it.

Got out the sledge hammer to fill in a hole by pounding in a filler board on the back fence got ok for the gate there as well.

Love your chicken comment Nancy and I'm jealous...would love to have some sort of camper myself.

Busy morning and I am done, done, done with all my windows inside and out. House is in company order, although I'm not expecting any.

Trimmed all the trees, bushes and lantanas in my front yard...gave them all a sever hair cut. Sweetie came out to help and as I cut....way more than trim really...he loaded the stuff into the garbage barrel. He had to do his "barrel dance" several times but did get everything in.

I also washed my front door, which is covered in wrough iron. And as funny as this may sound to you, I washed all my boulders and rocks which form my desert landscape...Its a desert thing. I also washed the front of my house which is trimmed in river rock. In fact one part of my front is covered from top to bottom with them and I have river rock trimming other parts of the front as well.

Every thing here gets so dirty...think dirt as fine as dust ... and after a while everything gets covered with it.

I have several projects going on in my mind that I want to do around the house. Sweetie was laughing at me while we were outside calling me his "white torando" and "droopy drawers"...he also enjoyed singing "pants on the ground" every once in a while. This is a very unusual thing for Sweetie to be so vocal. He's usually a very quiet guy, but he certainly seem to enjoy teasing me while we were working. True be told I need to find a new pair of cut off jean shorts or get a belt out....Seemed all I did was yank my pants up every other minute.

Now I am about to make a K ohls and W mart run. I've GOT to get a new sports bra...period, end of tape. Plus I need to pick up a few other needed things. Some times Sweetie gets this sty thing going on in his eyes...The dr told him it was because his facial skin flakes off and gets into his eyes.

Now Sweetie usually washes his face....which he does alot especially when he's been working outside or in the garage while working on his car. I suspected he was drying out his skin because he always washs with soap. I bought him some "men care" stuff and he ended up loving it...plus his skin is not so dry any more. Anyway I couldn't replace the old produces he was using cause they've been discontinued so I bought him some d ove men care ...didn't realize it was body and fach wash. Anyway this morning he told me he was almost out and went it to this long explanation of why he loved this product...so very out of character of him and I felt like I was watching a commercial. LOL

So that's on my list to pick up...

Ok I'm off. Not looking pretty by any matter or means but am giving myself a two hour window to do what I need to do...1:58 minutes will probably be trying on bras ...I hate that chore

Nancy, I don't think dh was very pleased with his football games today, either. Seems like I heard some sort of comment that "the Falcons are pitiful..."

Thinking about your new camp trailer. Do campers get "2-inch" disease, too? Dmom used to say that all boat owners have "2-inch" disease: they always want a boat that is 2 inches longer than the one they have.

Cathy, it is so good to hear from you and for you to sound like you are in such a good place now in your life.

FF, dh says the World Series is very likely to go 7 games, so they must be awfully well-matched teams.

I must remember to watch RR's videos. Hope my computer will allow it without buffering ten thousand times.

Well... my crew got in around 2:00 a.m. and needless to say, no one made it to church except me this morning. But I was glad I went, good sermon, about being content in whatsoever state we find ourselves... to always remember that things could always be worse, and to always remember to give thanks.

DH and I are going out tonight, but when we get home, we are going to stop and get dgs and bring him to spend the night with us. DS & DDIL are going to take their car in tomorrow for a recall repair. Ddil in going to follow him over there so he doesn't have to be stranded at the dealership all day long. I guess that means dgs will be here all day long -- but I am still going to go to my monthly teacher's luncheon.
We'll probably have dgs for a few hours Tues. night, too, while ds is busy w/gospel quartet and ddil goes to choir practice, but Wednesday they are leaving to go visit her parents so after Tues., we won't see him until the first of next week.

I'm not feeling real "swimmingly" today... just worn out and stressed out from a busy weekend.

RR you sure do sound busy, busy, busy! Me? Not so much today. Even snoozed a little this afternoon -this after a very good night's sleep.

Just finished talking to dh. He's been busy all day and put in 6 hours for the campground as well. Said the wind has just been non-stop all day. Had to ask him when to turn our internet off up there -Wednesday. He plans to close up our RV Tuesday and go stay at DS-A's for the next 3 nights. Hopes to leave Friday morning. Know the forecast for next weekend is not great up there so hope he gets out ahead of any bad weather.

DD finalized our pre-boarding for our cruise today. For some reason I never got notifications. Maybe I will now that she has that done. Dh still knows nothing of our plans. He will be mighty pleased, I'm sure. Me? Not so much. I find myself with trepidation. Especially the driving to Ft. Lauderdale. NOW I see one that leaves for 5 days out of Tampa! NOW? Maybe another time.

DD just brought me her outfit for tomorrow. She wanted something she could wear to school, but still be good to wear to her interview tomorrow afternoon. Think they have to interview 2 others later in the week, but they're sounding pretty positive about her getting this position. No change in pay -in fact it'll cost her as she'll drive more than twice the distance each day. But on the plus side, it's a new building at the airport. She'll be able to watch all the festivities for "Sun 'n Fun" in April as they'll be working the event. Know she's trying hard not to get too excited about this change =just in case. But it's sounding like either of the other two interviews would have to be absolutely 'golden' to make it. The 2 ahead of her have had no teaching credentials and have been unable to certify students in Solid Works -which dd has already done. That's a huge plus in her favor.
