Everybody, DH said to tell you all, he's having a Happy Birthday today.

I'm working on a Valentine's Day light romantic short story for Feb. 2015. Then, DD told me a very sweet story, which is romantic, I need to research a bit, to make it more authentic & I'll change the sexes of the characters. She told it to me from a woman's POV & I'll write it from a man's POV instead, to "disguise" the actual story. This is fun when the stories come TO me from other sources! I get a lot of ideas from the TV news or talk shows, then Dear Abby, & my past or people from my past or dfamily members. I change the sex of the POV a lot, change how many children someone might have or make them divorced with kids, & shake it up a bit. But it's fun to "play God" & create entire lives, people, with real life problems, which they solve nicely. That's the whole point. To present a problem of a main character, their learning to solve their problem, try to have a happy solution & ending, so it'll help readers solve THEIR problems or relate in some way. I think by remembering the reader, "who" might be reading, is the way to go. I know how a lot of times, in our lives, we'll have problems & don't know where to turn. Yes, I DO have some religious characters, too.

Dratso! I just took off a black & gold onyx ring because it was too large for me. It's deceased DMIL's ring. I put on a big brown stone ring, & IT'S turning around and around, TOO! I keep shrinking out of my rings & undies. Oh, well. It's a good thing. Once my fingers shrink enough, I can be able to use the ring finger rings on a middle finger or index finger instead. That's going to look kind of neat. Oh, Dratso again! Now my anniversary ring is twisting. I just took off my wedding ring because it was starting to be too tight! I guess I need to run & find a ring that fits. My ring finger feels "naked" without a ring on it. But I always take them off before bedtime, so I don't accidentally scratch myself in my sleep.

DH is almost ready to be picked up by his buddy, to go eat a Mexican lunch out. They'll have fun. His buddy always gives him a comical card with lots of laughs, too! I'll work more on my story by hand, will declutter, do 1 LOL, & write some cards w/letters out to a few people. Have a great afternoon, Everybody! Just a quickie C. I. right now! Will BBL! :D

I'm back from voting and a lovely walk with dh.

The voting station is the classroom next to mine at the church where my theology classes are held, so I was able to show dh my classroom too.

After voting we checked out the senior's centre next door since we had noted it had a billiard table for use during the day. Apparently it is underused. No kidding, maybe because you have to walk through basement two storage rooms to get to it (and it appears to be in the middle of a storage room?!) Ds has a nice one in his building so we may end up using that more. There is a lending library upstairs that includes a cozy reading area so that is a bit more promising.

We walked home along the 'main street' (in England they would call it the High Street - the main street with shops lining it in the centre of any town, village or neighbourhood.) That gave us a chance to look into more shop windows.

We've decided on pizza for dinner and going out to one or two movies tomorrow at a second run theatre. There is one at 10:30 and another at 1:20. We'll pay $7.50 for the two movies for two people. And I'll let dd know in case she wants to join us (it is in her part of town.)

Hello Dear Ladies,

Sunshine here.

Congratulations Harriet and Dfamily!!!

Working on laundry. Washed and remade the bed. I like to get that out of the way early so I know I can collapsed into bed later.

Colored my hair. Used a slightly lighter shade of auburn this time so hope it comes out ok.

Looking at maybe changing the house around a little, with one less person here it creates some opportunities.

Need to get working on my dailies too.

Great day to all!

Forgot to add that stomach settled with the Dr. Pepper. Nice that I have a solution. Too bad it is not a healthy one.

Just transferred the house sale money to our investment guy. Which prompted a phone call from Loss-Prevention at our bank. She laughed when I told her why she was calling me. Nice they are so on top of these things.

Dishwasher was also run today so that's another very small ta-dah.

Kathryn, It's great that Dr. Pepper works so well for you!

I had to cross off & rewrite so many phrases on about each of 12 hand-written pages! But it's done now, looks good, & I'll log tomorrow, after DH's b-day's over. I'm going to hand write another story today, as I can be in the same room with DH, while he watches TV, so I'm keeping him company on his b-day. He's running up to the little store on the corner to "see" if they have Alka-Selzer Chews, for stomach acid, etc... Hope so! I don't want him running all the way into town, for groceries on his b-day. I want him to relax.

It's still sunny here, after a very heavy fog this morning.

Have a Gr8 Afternoon, Everybody! Waving to ya'll! :D

Oh, congratulations to you and your family, dHarriet! Yes, finally a girl!!

Stress level is a little high. I have one of those weeks with something going on every morning, afternoon (1 or 2 things), most evenings too. And, I am teaching adult SS at our church for the first time on Sunday. When am I supposed to prep for that??

Today:
- up and morning stuff
- s2s and self-care
- folded and put away a lol
- finalized menu plan and groc. list
- groc. store
- everything put away
- started crockpot with pulled pork
- prep for class today
- out the door by 10:25 for haircut at 10:45
- home again at 11:45
- eat lunch and work on editing students' paragraphs
- out the door at 12:05 to pick up dniece from the hospital (dfriend R let her shadow him! She found it so helpful and interesting.)
- drove dniece to a dorm where dd19 and friend eat lunch every Monday
- drove home
- finished editing paragraphs; change clothes; out the door again at 1:00 - a little late
- taught 1:30 - 3:30
- talked with supervisor re: upcoming test for students + trouble my students are having with some basic concepts. I've resolved to create more practice exercises for tomorrow. .
- home
- snack
- printed out pages for editing task I'd completely forgotten about -- due today. I need to edit 3 web pages for our church web site
- made up the pulled pork

Still To Do today:
- dinner on the table for 3 (dd16 left for tutoring in Detroit): pulled pork, buns, sw. potato fries, salad
- kitchen clean and dw running
- dh will be out all evening for church meeting
- edit 3 web pages
- create extra exercises for class tomorrow
- look over T/Th class' test that will be on Thursday to see what sort of review I might need to do tomorrow
- prep for 2 classes tomorrow
- prep for teaching team meeting tomorrow; I should have a rough outline of what I plan to do in SS this Sunday

I hope I can go to bed before midnight.

Tomorrow will be tight: moms group teaching team meeting 9:30 ~ 11:30; some open time between 11:45 when I'll get home and 12:45 when I typically leave for work; teach 1:30 - 5:30; get dinner on the table, eaten, and cleaned up by as close to 6:45 as possible b/c I have a meeting at the church from 7 - 9 pm. Dh leaves town tomorrow night. Dh also will take dniece to the airport in the morning so I can go to my meeting. . .

Dh had a conference call that started at 4 but he didn't get an access code for it. At 5:15 he signaled me to come into the office and, making sure he was on mute, told me the call started 1 hour later than expected and would now run into our dinner time since it had to be early for me due to my class.

So I had him order the pizza online (he had the account info) and I went and picked it and the milk up.

He's said something about a visitor on Wednesday but I'm ignoring that until I can talk without him listening in on a conversation I can't hear (he wears earphones when on a call.)

I'm off to class in a few minutes. I'm suddenly very tired but will still walk there and back so I can get extra steps in today. My knees are sore but not too bad. Tomorrow will be a lower step day because I probably will be at the pool for my exercise.

I have decided to do some tasks instead of kniting to give my arm a break. Got the laundry going and dusted the walls hoping that helps with my allergies. I chopped up apples for chicken food.
Did some reading toddlerN is here now.
I have a plan for dinner now and a plan B.
Set the timer and took meds on time today.
I got A cople of stamps this morning and got smaller bills traded in for larger ones the store was glad to get the ones!

The house smells great with apples cooking.

Phew what a day; the todder "helped" by mopping with water from the toilet! Needless to say I mopped again. Then she hucked a golf ball across the living room. Barely missing the new tv so those went outside.

2nd LOL just buzzed in the dryer.
Cleaned my small office, vigorously, for 1/2-hour, working up a sweat.
Dson is talking to DH on the phone, wishing him a Happy B-day.
News is on, I'm avoiding it, it's mostly bad, locally, going over the same shooting news repeatedly over & over again. Not conducive to relaxing & have a nice enjoyable day, in the day-to-day, so shut it out, living in TRW, without all the sad stuff being permeated into my brain 24/7. Sorry. There just is a limit to what 1 human being can listen to in the a.m., noon, evening, & late night news. DH & I avoided the noon news, played music all afternoon, avoided the early p.m. news, & now National news is on, but DH is on the phone, luckily, with our IRL son.
Have a great evening, Everybody! DH's is having a GR8 b-day! :D

Ff I too have reached my tv limit, reading downstairs in the. Basement waiting on laundry. H. Has game on not my teams so I am not in to it.

Tried to do pm routine but h was making his lunch did not like it when I moved the cheese - sigh - so I decided to wait and be grateful he makes his own lunch. There was a time he did not and they were never 'right ' glad those days are behind us. Heading to
j & c thread something I want to put up for members only to read.
