I just posted over in J&C about ds, who had an asthma attack and is at ER in ATL. Dh is also going to call him to ck in, and maybe can get more info from him. :?

Need to get myself busy. Today need to do the usual getting meals for dmom and visiting her. I'm hoping to take a box to the Goodwill; I pass a drop off on the way to see her. Will need to do a little garage work gathering up, and I also need to get the porch ready for Halloween.

-throw on clothes and walk the dogs
-start a lol
-brush teeth and wash up
-make the bed
-water plants

(((Twins)))

It is an active village this morning! I couldn't take time to cuop.

I'm off now for my walk. See you all after lunch.

I've s2s and took time to do a round of physio for my knees and foot. Not sure if I mentioned it yesterday but my new hiking boots are a success. I find they support my ankles which means I can walk better immediately after sitting. They are supposed to be for outside wear but I might start wearing them inside.

Oh my, Twins, I am so hoping your ds is ok. I am sure wish you were closer. :(

Booksaver, what a find! I love it! I have a bunch of mags from the '30's that I keep in my hope chest. Most of them are Saturday Evening Posts. It was so much fun to go through them and read the ads. I have not looked at them in ages. Need to do that as I have forgotten a lot of the content. Many years ago my dfather who was a cop came across a guy who was burning hundreds of old books and magazines in his burn pile. :o  :( My df asked him why he would do such a thing. He said he just didn't have any use for them. (Don't we have a "stupid" button on here?)

Speaking of stupid, the idiots in San Francisco went nuts last night instead of being very grateful and happy. I don't get it. Anyway, there are two very happy people in our household today and there were 6 screaming, cheering people last night. We are happy and in awe. 8-) Lucylee, Huddy got a ring, Huddy got a ring and we are so happy for him. Some of the guys are getting their third. Very exciting.

Today is the last old car cruise in our area and I guess we will be going. This is not my favorite things to do, but Mr. Guy wants to go. He loves his car and is so proud of it and loves showing it off. It does get a lot of attention.

Have a good day, all! :D

So far today I have had breakfast (multi-grain cherrios and raspberries - yum) and filled the meds containers for 2 weeks.

Next up is put clean dishes away and was the few dishes in the sink. We were gone most of yesterday so not too many dishes - a cup, glass, couple of knives from making sandwiches (supper) and thats about all.

Then I need to trip Dakota's nails and give here a bath. She has been scratching her belly but no fleas. (too hot and dry I guess). But she smells like a dog so needs a shampoo.

After that I think I will retire to my chair as I'm sure I will feel like my back is broken. I have chicken tenders for dinner but need to think of something to go with them.

Time to spiff up the kitchen. TTFN

Done with that round except for brushing teeth, I realized I need a complete shower and makeup as we are going to an event this evening.

Ds spoke with dh and is back on campus heading to his next class/lab. They indicated it was stress and anxiety and running to class in cold weather. He had asthma as a kid but hasn't had an attack in years. So perhaps all is at least better for now.

Working on more of info for bank....oy.

Kathryn-in-Canada what kind of boots do you have ? they sound like the type i need . been having problems with my feet too.

havent gotten a whole lot done around here mostly my feet just do not want me to be on them. and the fact that i do yarduty by the time i am home all they want to do is sit.
We have the cable man coming back out on Saturday to replace our cable wires in the house, this house is 31 years old and the cable was meant for analog tv plus how old the wire is . so i will get new cable wires meant for digital and with luck all our tv will work wonderfully and not spend so much time telling us their temporily off the air.

well need to so one more group of dishes before i head back to work.

have a wonderfull day

It feels so nice to sit here with you & enjoy my mug of tea after a busy morning. Up early, zipped through my morning routine, dealt with two phone calls, then out to run errands. On my way home I noticed that all my neighbors had remembered to put out their recycling, unlike me ;) . I saw the recycling truck down the street & drove over & asked the driver if I still had time to put mine out. He was very nice, said yes & to take my time. I dragged the bucket to the street, tied up & added newspapers, mags & catalogs, & less than 15 minutes later they picked up.

Dh won't be home until late this afternoon. He requested tacos for dinner so I have ground beef thawing. I only did one load of laundry earlier this week so brought down what had accumulated since in the hamper & put another load in the washer. I'll finish all that up today. There's more on my to do list, but I don't remember what without looking. I'm going to relax a bit first, enjoy my tea, & cuop here.

Lucylee, I read this in a magazine last night & thought of you & other allergy sufferers here. A reader had written in & said: "I used to struggle with allergies in both fall and spring, until I discovered the power of local raw honey. I add a little to sweeten oatmeal and coffee, and I put it on toast almost every day. And if I go through the day without it, I just eat a spoonful right before bedtime. I haven't had an allergy issue in years." (I'll post this in H&F, too).

Hope you all are having a wonderful day! :)

PS -- Hi Cats! :) It's so good to see you.
