Apartment looks gorgeous.

And I didn't resort to a total stash and dash although I did stash files that I'm working on. But all the papers are organized into some semblance of order before being stashed in a box.

Now to go over the financial statements from our guy so I know what he's talking about. If I reconciled every month, this wouldn't be an issue but I haven't since January.

I like to vote during the day when it is least busy, but dh asked me to wait and vote with him. The bright side is, next time we have an election he will be retired and we can go when it is least busy. He has 37 days left.

When he retires I will need to get showered and ready for the day as early as possible. Otherwise I will spend my day in pjs and will get nothing done. It will be a big adjustment getting used to him being home. He started working all days in Feb. 2003. Prior to that he worked shiftwork for 28 1/2 years and I was used to having him around during the day during the week. It would not be such a big adjustment if he still worked shiftwork, but that ship sailed almost 12 years ago.

Today is dance day. Guess I better get her ready to go................

I voted early so am good on that subject. I've already made a trip to dh's office to take his phone to him - contributing to my late start today.

Congrats on internship for dd, Harriet! I had to take ds to work for the first part of last summer until we got a car for him - that, or let him drive my car! Really takes a chunk out of your morning and afternoon.

Helia, I'm glad you have some breathing room this week! You're always on the go.

Good thinking on the mail in ballots, Nancy! If your neighbor dogs are like mine, they don't understand the time change and are still arising early.

So glad that Dee avoided an accident - it sounds like a bad place to make a left turn, too. Should ck my Honda Pilot for a blind spot, but after 7 years I've probably figured it out?

Kathryn, so I can call yesterday my "other" Sabbath? On Sat dMacs had PT, I had body work, and then we went out for evening after Shabbat ended; I did get in a Shabbat nap however. OTOH, I've been trying to change my mindset that M-F is work and Sat-Sun "off." Dh often wants to do things on Sat and Sunday and I feel worn out after the weekend of socializing and being around him so it's nice to recharge on Monday. Since I'm not working outside the home, I'm feeling I can indulge him more as far as doing things together on weekends, too.

I like Lynlee's plan for yoga and a nap, too, and am agreeing that bw2 is always so positive here. Waving to Bookie too!

so....will get moving now. Need to get through a.m. routine and desk day - dh will be home tonight but I think we'll go out to eat.

Dakota OK. Mad at me because of shots, meds and the fact she has to wear a t-shirt to stop her from scratching. Vet not sure where itch is coming from - we will just treat the symptoms. So antibiotic, spray and t-shirt and come back in 2 weeks. If not better in a few days, try OTC antihistamines, but that might make her sleepy.

I have been asked to be on committee that runs church camp for our Presbytery. I had listed all the pro and cons and was asking for help making the decision. Now as I was going to type that all again, I realized that I had made a decision. I'm going to do it. It is something I feel passionately about and I want to see if I can be of service.

Have to go read more in the book for our study tomorrow. Love it when I have to read a book.

Congratulations to dd16, Harriet! I hope it will be an enriching summer for her! Yes, I was wondering if she would have her license by next summer and could drive herself? Maybe it would be too far away though. We don't let dd16 drive very far.

I'd like to greet everyone but I don't have time.

I have:
- made progress on a.m .routine - unloaded dw, washed load of whites
- ordered transcript for my Univ. for my workplace. My diploma just says "Master of Arts" without the area of the degree -- which is what my workplace wants proof of. That diploma seems kind of odd and useless to me. I'm hoping the transcript will be enough.
- printed out form for class to write paragraphs today
- prepped for R/W class
- lunch

Next:

- prep for S/L class
- change clothes

Hi! I'm taking a break before going out to vote.

I have a blind spot too. Pulled out once right as a car was bearing down on me and DH yelled and I floored it. Did not know what happened as I hadn't seen the car. Next time I was at the same spot I moved my head back and forth and looked all around and found the spot. Mine's just behind the passenger front window, the panel between that and the passenger window for the back seat. Now I'm very careful. I consider myself very blessed as we've had this car for years and years and I've never been hit pulling out and didn't find the spot until about a year ago. Dee, I'm glad you weren't in an accident.

Speaking of accidents, on my way during this morning's truck shuffle, there was a big one, a flatbed tractor trailer dumped its load of pallets and landscaping material bags all over the westbound lane. I was heading East. Nobody hit, but sure was a mess! I was sure glad it was a 4-lane road with big wide grass middle.

Statement work mostly done and redone. Shuttled DH back and forth. Yikes that's all I've done and I haven't stopped all day except to eat something. Why does everything take so long?

Elizabeth, do you think you're going to like your job?

MT, we had a dog with symptoms like that once. Hot spots they called it. She had a flea allergy.

Just a quick C. I. to say:

I was so busy yesterday! I got my teeth cleaned, my exam, etc... Then, came home and puttered around, worked on my calendar for the 2015 year, taking a "holiday" from 12-12-15 - 1-2-16!

I've sold 4 stories for January issues, I'm tickled PINK !

Currently, I'm starting work on a second Valentine story, am writing a pen pal letter, took care of my contracts, and added a few items to DH's grocery list.

It's raining here, will be windy and rainy this afternoon, but oh well.... It's our rainy season, so DUH!

Have a super Tuesday, never give up and ALWAYS Try, Try Again, because in the end (and during the journey!) it DOES pay off! Waving at you all! Have a GR8 day!

Working on my house...don't want to get sucked into my computer

MT...check your puppie's dog food. I had the same problem with both my pups...wheat and grain were their problem. Vet was absolutely no help when we first brought them in...We switch to Blue Buffalo and the problem was solved.

My vet wanted my pups on Science Diet, which he sells at his clinic. However the company has been sold and the food reformulated and grains were added.

Willis was scratching his skin bare and Sadie was puking every so often. Willis was also chewing at his feet and both had black gunk in their ears. After much research I realized both were suffering from yeast infections...not like we get...a very common problem for dogs who can't tolerate wheat or grain.

Other symptoms were Willis stunk like a wet dog even after I bathed and dried him. Another big sign of a yeast problem. Once I switched out his food most of his problems disappeared.

Google: yeast and dogs Bet your pup's real problem may be caused by this. Many of my friends' dogs were experiencing the same problems and after reading about yeast have changed their pups' food with great success.

If you read many of the message boards concerning these types of dog problems you will hear many people talking about how most vets aren't very helpful...just wanted to administer steriods and such which can harm dogs in the long run and cost the owners a fortune. I was very surprised at this myself. I hate thinking that your pup is suffering like Willis and Sadie were...and believe me Willis has very little hair to begin with so his scratching left nasty bloody spots on his sides and underbelly.

I'd like to think Dakota's problems can solved with a bit of apple cider vinagar and a no-grain dog food. Its at least worth a try...

BTW...I always vote early and by mail.

Twins: by all means make Monday your 'day off' and focus on things that give you pleasure. Or do as I do and take my Sabbath over 24 hours, noon Tuesday to noon on Wednesday. That way I'm available 7 days a week but not all day every day. Make it an intentional day. Put it on your calendar as a recurring event so that when you go to schedule things, it is there, reminding you that that time is 'sacred.'

I've just learned that we are going to the theatre on Thursday night (our first play at the National Arts Centre so that reworks my day. I had thought it was a day without anything on (not sure how I missed the evening engagement.)

My meeting is over and I have only one to-do from it so will start in on preparing for that right after I eat lunch. Tummy is acting up right now (I just had a quick snack because I was hungry) so that's making it harder to think what I want for lunch. I'm out of Dr. Pepper so went down to the tuck shop in the lobby and got one from him. We don't buy much from him but when I do want something like that, I spend the extra in order to keep the store as viable as possible. Besides, he only charges $1 for a canned drink which is better than a lot of corner stores.
