Kathryn , I've been so embarrassed about my not being able to call out "everybody's" name, for so long. Honestly, I left a very, very large forum, years ago, because there were so many threads, so many people, it was so overwhelming to me and I couldn't keep people straight from "who" was "who". Anyway, I DO THINK ABOUT EVERYBODY, especially as I read through posts, but then, when I start keying in my post, I forget all of the names of everyone who went before me. And I also forget everybody's individual news, although I read it and absorbed it and understood it at the time I read it. And yes, there have been days, when I'm so embarrassed about it, that I've read and not posted at all- because it's a "foggy day" for me. It's just a symptom of Fibromyalgia, I can't help it, but try my best to work with it.

It makes me feel good that not everybody does shout-outs, too. And it's not at all that it's because we don't care, because we DO care and love each other here and respect each other, too.

Honestly, I'm a very inattentive friend, but I love you all so much so I'm hoping y'all forgive me.

I feel the same as Kathryn - I don't do Facebook birthdays also and must be the last person on the face of the earth not to do so.

Finally got through all that round and am having lunch. I had to leave a message at probate court office, then call back again and talk to a human - but they still haven't let me know whether I have to go through all the filing and 30 day approval again. And they are closed Thurs-Friday and closing early on Wed so I have a limited amount of time to get this to them if I want the 30 days running ASAP.

Next round:
-brown ground beef that I got at the store the other day and put in freezer
-start a lol
-make the bed
-clear the kitchen table
-refill meds containers

Just remembered that dmom has a dr appointment tomorrow at 1:15. If I need to I can get out of the house early and get to the neighboring county and back, but it will make for a lot of driving tomorrow. I'm printing the 19 pages of the appraisal again to go with the petition.

Good afternoon... hello from the land of the night crawlers... (What was the name of that show? Kinda a spooky show? It comes on one of those odd channels now, late at night. Anyway, y'all know what I mean -- I hit 2:00 pm about like most of you hit the crossroads of the day. )

However, I am s2s, with clean hair, and a load of laundry is in the washer.
I've talked to ds, done my Bible reading, ate breakfast and took my vitamins, did my morning stretches, and s/s both bathrooms.
Just about to head out to Wmart.
I know it will be packed all week, so might as well get in there and get it over with.

I was glad to see y'all talking about forgetting to name people sometimes, b/c I know I do that, too. Sometimes I try to mention everyone I can see in Topic Review window. I read on a board one time that it was suggested that everyone reply to the last three posters ahead of them, so no one would feel ignored. But sometimes even that takes too much thought (to come up with a sensible reply, I mean, LOL!) I think we are just so blessed to have such a loving, forgiving, and accepting bunch here.

Kathryn, I know the residents at the two nursing homes where ds/dh sing really love it when they come. Of course, having a cute two year old in tow helps lend extra excitement to the performance, LOL.

Working on rbr a quick spiff in each room helps quite a bit! Mbedrm and main bathvdone. Waiting a bit to do living room hot spot so I do not need to redo it again later.

The insurance gal called after 5 hours. We can save $300 + a year for everything. She said they are trying to get everyone switched to the new company within the next year, so we might as well do it now. By the time she called, I decided to just wait until tomorrow for errands. WM would be getting crazy by now. With the Christmas rush, I need to start going out first thing in the morning, when it's not crazy.

At least I got the checkbook balanced while waiting and started laundry.

Hello to EVERYBODY! There's a shout out and nobody got forgotten.

Lilac, read about the ER, that sounded scary. I hope your BP stays down.

I've been so busy. Sat. I took all those donation bags to two places, glad that's all out of the house. I went to the Mall and began looking for a new bra as I had gift cards to that shop. After trying on every bra in captivity, and nothing fit I tried another shop. A lady there talked me into measuring. Oh, I was mortified. I had on an old sports bra, not intending to have anybody see that...but she measured and I was so as of course I'd been wearing the wrong size. So now I know for sure... though I wish the one size was smaller.

Got a haircut while I was out, long-ish layers. Shoulder length. She did a nice job. By the time I got all that done I was just too tired to do the other shopping I had planned. So, today I went to one store looking for bras in the right size but cheaper than the store I was in...and found a couple half as much as other place. Then I got groceries, the mother load. Store was mobbed. I always thank the cashiers because they are working so hard. She told me it would be like that till 2:00 Thanksgiving.

Came home and unloaded all that stuff. Now I'm just spent. My arthritis has kicked up, hips, back, shoulder all sore. I am doing the best I can. DH is out working and he didn't sound good when I talked to him on the phone. I hate this aging stuff. Sunday was church then they had a picnic at the beach and it was very windy. I was stiff by the time we left.

Hoping Dee is enjoying her trip so far. I would not be brave enough to get on a ship right now.

- figured out lesson game plan for class today. Almost literally. . . The students got so into the game today that class ended late.

- pick up dd19 at 4:30; she's going to borrow a car so she can go tutor in Detroit with the church youth group

I got home around 5 pm.

mini-rant: I got an email at 12:50 this afternoon from a band parent saying that her son's tux pants were not optimally fitted and could someone (either me or another mom who helps with this) meet her after school so she could find a better pair of pants for her son? My goodness! You can't just email someone and expect them drop everything to meet you 1.5 hours later. . .I was rather flabbergasted. I had to work, so it wasn't like I could do it anyway. Her proposed alternative was to have one of us meet her before the concert, but that again is assuming (1) the kids of the other parents are also in orchestra (few are; only top 2 of each instrument) and (2) that the parent has the bandwidth to change plans if original plans didn't include getting to the school so early for the concert. . . . I'll assume naivete' and/or bad organizational skills over self-centered thinking for this one. If there is a problem, she needs to approach us about it before the day of the concert. Like a week or so before. . .This was resolved by the band director kindly helping her son find new pants after school. I'm sure he doesn't need to spend his time doing that -- oh, well.

OK, I'm going to start dinner.

Didn't get much done this afternoon. Dh helped me bring up two Christmas bins (of 8!) and I also brought up a few winter decorations since they go up now (or at least one the cold weather returns) and stay up until April. We had, thankfully, saved the box for the Christmas tree when we moved it to the new bag with wheels. When we tried to move the tree out, it was unmanageable so I put it back in the box and the box inside the bag. That helped a lot. There is still a lot in the basement that needs to be moved to ds's place. Maybe later this week. Plus the pram from the exercise room and his bike from our balcony. My bike will be stored behind the treadmill once space is opened up for it.

When getting ready to go downstairs, dh noted it was mid-60s outside so we went for a walk over to the river and sat and watched the water until it started to get dark.

Dinner tonight is just burgers and salad. Then I'll walk over to my course, although I might take the car since it will be raining and I already have 11K steps in for the day.

I enjoy reading everyone's posts even if I don't get to answer each one! (I don't always remember everyone's name either!)

Dee, I wanted to say happy voyage! I hope you relax once you are on your way. It will be nice to hear all about it.

Helia, I like your lists; you sometimes have something that reminds me of something I need to do!

BookSaver, you should like the spinach soup; it is easy to make and one of our favorites.

LadyM, hope dgd3 is feeling better and you catch up on your rest! I think it's wonderful you have all that interest in your house and MPB.

Twins', I hope you have a good answer from court and that dsis's house sells smoothly this time; and your week is pleasant.

Waving hello to FFriend and everyone else!

My day started out quiet enough. I was happily doing normal routines and had let doggies out when I heard loud barking. Went outside to check on Minnie and saw a strange brown and white dog in our yard with her. It belongs to our new next door neighbor. Rushed inside to holler for dh to go out, get my shoes on and grab a broom. By the time I went out again dh had Minnie headed for the back door, so I made sure she went inside. The neighbor was talking with dh through the fence and apologized again and again. There must be a hole in the neighbors part of the fences where three yards come together; there is an open space in back of our fence that is not actually in anyone else's yard. That might not make any sense unless you can see it. Anyway, neighbor sent her 16yo ? son over with a leash to collect their own dog!

So someone here recently mentioned "best laid plans".... dh and I spent the next couple of hours trimming bushes and the large palm tree in the corner. Dh took some extra wire fencing we had and closed off the corner as best he could. While he stacked the palm leaves and worked on a couple of other palms along the fence.

When we were done it was time for lunch, then when I was putting the clean dishes away I reorganized two shelves in one cupboard and took out some things we don't use, also a stack of recipes that had been stuck in there. They will go back into a different cupboard with the other books.

I didn't get this posted before and now it's time to clean up after supper! Oh, just remembered something Lucy said. Before I read the current day's posts I always go back to the evening before and cuop anyone I missed after I turn off computer for the night!

And I meant to tell Lilac I hope you are feeling well. Your experience sounded scary---I hope it doesn't happen again.
