I have some things that Need to be taken care of (especially for dd younger)

Pam of S.H.E. used to ask - what is the next right thing to do?... you will know because it will just pop into your head.
Is there something that is sitting on your mind, that if done, would take pressure off you.
ARe you putting anything off that may just take a moment to get done.. a phone call, a appointment that should be made - anything?

that I want to deal with:
dd younger's school re: moving her out of her dorm and having to figure out what we owe

don't want to deal with but will give me peace having it done:
call the insurance regarding dd younger's therapy
call my doctor for my yearly physical appointment
dentist appointment

today: finish up, bedroom zone work,

]I have been doing a lot of What has been working and what hasn't been working during my day.

What has - decluttering paper and working on desk area to start the new year right (thank you for all the help)
What hasn't: not having a time or a plan for fitness

Two conflicting things popped into my head:

Swim
Church work

Swimming could be put off, after all it has been for about 2 weeks. On the other hand, it has been put off for 2 weeks.

That's nothing compared to the church work, some of which has been put off for 10+ months!

I'm not s2s (waiting to figure out the swimming thing since I need to shower either here or at the pool) I have had breakfast, put away the clean dishes, pulled out the hot water pot and started it (I've been using my fancy, lit, kettle which is cool enough that it was featured in a movie the other day!), and refilled the water pans on the radiators (just 2 quarts were added today.) I also read the first section of the book for school (up to page 2 of 365 but there are lots of illustrations and it does seem readable, not like the last theological book I read - 4 weeks to get through the introduction!) and prepare my notebook for the classes, pasting the course outlines into it. Still need to read the note on why the school is moving and plan my route there.

Bw2, thank you for starting us out with such a nice positive focus for the day.

Dmom has a dr appointment at 1:30 today and I have a meeting at 6 p.m. so those two trips will cut into the rest of my day. I got up at 5 when the ddogs started stirring. Moses never ate last night and I wanted to get the cone off him so I could offer him breakfast and once it was off, I felt like I should stay around to be sure he wasn't licking at his stitches. I went to bed around midnight - was watching the football game (altho I didn't have a "dog" in it) and it was nearly over.

I have downloaded mom's financial bank acct and credit card and updated Quicken. Also finished up the reports for the meeting tonight and did several other "desk day" type of things and called dmom to remind her and dbro of the dr appt and called dr office to confirm time and place.

I should get a.m. routine finished up. Need to leave here around noon and I will stop on the way to mail pkg to dd.

I've been meaning to write about my desk. It's a mess.

BTW, I don't use address labels - we have a stamp (the kind with the built in inker) to stamp outgoing mail with our address.

It is official, dh is now 100% well. How do I know this? He is obsessed with buying a 9mm handgun. He won't be happy until he finds THE one. Last month he got his new gun safe. It holds up to 48 guns. I made sure he knew that it would NEVER be at capacity in my lifetime. He has always been this way, if he makes up his mind that he wants something, be it a vehicle, gun or whatever, he isn't happy until he finds IT. Drives me crazy.

Yesterday was my drs. appointment. I had been dreading it since it was my first appt since they lost their dd. Almost immediately he told me that when they lost their dd, they received many cards, letters and notes, but the one I had sent really stood out and had meant so much to them. He said his dw keeps asking him if he has seen that patient and told her how much it meant. He said now he can tell her that he has. I had sent a card and what I considered a note but he called it a letter. At the time I kept wondering if I should or should not send something. Finally I decided to send it, right or wrong. When I told dh about this, he asked what I had written. I can't remember exactly, but it was straight from my heart. He asked me to continue to keep them in my prayers. For 7 years they were basically the parents to their 7 yr. old granddaughter. Now that their dd is gone, the little girls dad has stepped up. My dr. said the dad went from being present 5% of the time to 100%. He is allowing them to see her, because the drs. dw takes her to school and picks her up after school. He said his wife spends a lot of time volunteering in their dgd7s classroom. He did say that the dad is trying and he gives him credit for that.

I am waiting for the bug guy. I spent Sunday afternoon and the vast majority of yesterday cleaning. Everything looks so nice again. I am hoping to stay on top of my house, now that dh is retired, I want to be able to go wherever and not think twice about the house.

Hello, I have been dealing with computer issues this morning and feel such a sense of relief that I have it fixed. DH was in a bad mood this morning because that is his time to get on and he couldn't get connected. Somehow what's evolved around here is that he gets problems, gets frustrated, either does something stupid or quits, and then tells me to fix it. sigh.... I had him start scans which I finished after I could get up and get my eyes to focus...

After a helpful guy at my modem company did some stuff, turns out it was my browser. With my breath held I downloaded the browser again and it went in beautifully, fixing it all and not leaving a mess behind to configure, with extra desktop icons, etc. I'm just amazed at what I am accomplishing these days!

Somehow, even with the new download I didn't lose my logins.

Thanks for the nice opening, blessed. Hmmm, my next couple things: I must run to bank (well, drive) and I've paid a couple bills already, and did some dailies. I need to make a phone call also. I got a couple statements last night off the computer that were OMM seems like forever, but all is well.

Lilac, I'm glad your DH's ears are finally ok. Good luck with the handgun. DH wants me to learn to shoot ours.

My next right thing is to call the court and get some documents. They were supposed to mail a copy to me and the X. Did they? Nooooo.

I managed to resist the call of computer Scrabble last night, will also need to resist tonight, as I have some really time consuming stuff to do (animal org minutes and paperwork). I also need to put some time in on the church website. Will I be able to? Not likely, I have DD12 tonight. I will at least put the Wednesday Night Out menu up. DD wants to take her Christmas gift card (from me) and get a Wizardology book.

I have finished recording one training video at payroll and it is not even noon yet! My goal is two today. The next one will take longer, because I have to learn it myself before I train others. I had to drive in today so I can get someplace by 6. Road conditions were WRETCHED! My anti-lock brakes have been tested and work nicely. I was 1.5 hours late. I cannot make up the time this week because: tonight I have DD, tomorrow is animal org board meeting, Thursday is another DD night, and Friday is Styx with DD. Next week, if I take the train after my usual on MWF, I will have made up all time.

Break's over, back to court and video! Bye!

My next right thing is going to the nursing home w/dh & ds. Don't know if dgs will be joining us or not, but I've got the carseat back in the SUV, just in case. Even if he does not join us for this outing, he'll probably be coming home with us afterwards. DS goes to the tv station tonight w/the gospel group, and ddil will likely go to choir practice.
DS sounds very busy, right? Sadly, these two engagements today are totally charity. But ds considers it part of his "giving back" and we know it is a wonderful service of his, b/c the residents at the nursing home are so appreciative and enjoy him so much. Same with the local tv thing -- lots of positive feedback, and I can never express how thankful I am for the influence these men in the gospel group have had on ds. So it's a win-win for all concerned, I think.

accomplished or dd accomplished: .. she spoke to residential services and they were very nice. So now we have other things to do in order to resolve the dorm room but we have a plan. (d Harriet... thank you so much on reminding me how important it is to plan - so true... now I just have to act on the plan for my part).

My desk stuff is falling into place!
I love the container stores version of the label maker - it makes things look neat and professional.. who said that?! dd younger has wanted one for a long time.. now I see why.

I can't coop now but I am saying hi to each of you. Unfortunately the snow stopped falling. I want a foot a foot of snow!!!
