In a "Projects Journal" is how I now track projects currently doing, wanting to do, materials/supplies needed, and deadline dates on those for b-days. It's a helpful bit of info I learned from DNancy. It works so great, too!

No more doing multiple projects, which can be overwhelming. The info for supplies is easy to make a shopping list for, etc... It's a great tool. No folder, which can lose papers/ideas, by falling out. And a journal can be decorative, utilitarian, and laid on the counter, taken to the desk/craft area, or put into a basket, if you store books, in a basket. It's so nice to have this idea. I DON'T KNOW WHY I NEVER THOUGH OF IT SOONER! Thank for the idea, DNancy!
It's a crazy week here. Company's coming on my b-day, Thursday. Needing to run errands, finish up my house blessing, have done a LOT, the house looks beautiful, and I redecorated for Valentine's Day again, too. The weather's dry, cloudy with bits of sunshine peeping out, and is in the upper 40's during the day, for highs. I can live with that.
I'll do dusting/dust mopping, shaking of bathroom rugs/sweeping tomorrow. We don't have much to do. I did the kitchen and main/guest bathroom today; DH vacuumed the house. What a nice guy!
DH got sick 3 days ago, his coughing is nearly GONE- ALREADY! He feels GREAT! He looks GOOD, he feels that his body's antibodies went to work on him ASAP and he rarely gets ill. Now, he gets well fast, too! I've had this "bug" lag on for 10 days, but like doctors say, "It'll last 2 weeks or 14 days," is true.
Had a "sticky" email this a.m., pressuring me to do a couple of things, which I don't "need" nor "want" to do. This person seems to hate the fact how I'm on S. S. now, want to lessen up on writing stories, and enjoy life, by quilting, crocheting, hiking, etc... It's absolutely KILLING them, how I'm not crocheting for extra $$! Just because she works a 40-hour week, outside the home, it's like it's driving her absolutely crazy how I'm happy with my life, right now, as it is.

I thought she knew me better or well enough to be happy for me, but she keeps bringing up new interests for me to pursue. I don't "get it".

Am I missing something here? I'm turning 63 and can do what **I** choose to do; not things/activities somebody else chooses FOR me. I know she's trying to be well-meaning, but I told her I'd never crochet for $$, because I write and my hands, wrists, fingers, and back couldn't endure all the house, to have that type of business. I explained how a hobby's supposed to be enjoyable, not a business, and I crochet for family, friends, and myself. I don't have the time or desire to do it professionally, take out a business license, etc... I don't think she knows what all is involved in such an undertaking. Too time-consuming, too. I'd never have time to crochet for family, friends, or our home or myself, if I was working to make a living from it. I told her, also, my old body isn't like it used to be, physically, to do that type of crochet. I gave her an example of a dfriend who quilts, who is constantly asked by women to quilt their quilt tops for them. She tells them now, for the same reasons I won't crochet for $. I crocheted a baby afghan, for $30 once, had to find a box, and ship it. The lady was unhappy to have to pay so much, when her own mother, whom was my friend, told her I'd received a $50 or more, baby afghan, because of the beautiful workmanship in it and for her to just be quiet. SHE appreciates crochet and knew how time-consuming it is. Many people don't want to pay you what you're worth, for the supplies, time, and trouble and then is you need to ship it, you need to find that special box, address it and mail it from the P. O. After that experience, I decided to not do it professionally.
Happy Hump Day tomorrow, Everybody! Have a GR8 night, too!
