 In a "Projects Journal" is how I now track projects currently doing, wanting to do, materials/supplies needed, and deadline dates on those for b-days. It's a helpful bit of info I learned from DNancy. It works so great, too! No more doing multiple projects, which can be overwhelming. The info for supplies is easy to make a shopping list for, etc... It's a great tool. No folder, which can lose papers/ideas, by falling out. And a journal can be decorative, utilitarian, and laid on the counter, taken to the desk/craft area, or put into a basket, if you store books, in a basket. It's so nice to have this idea. I DON'T KNOW WHY I NEVER THOUGH OF IT SOONER! Thank for the idea, DNancy! 8-)

It's a crazy week here. Company's coming on my b-day, Thursday. Needing to run errands, finish up my house blessing, have done a LOT, the house looks beautiful, and I redecorated for Valentine's Day again, too. The weather's dry, cloudy with bits of sunshine peeping out, and is in the upper 40's during the day, for highs. I can live with that. ;)

I'll do dusting/dust mopping, shaking of bathroom rugs/sweeping tomorrow. We don't have much to do. I did the kitchen and main/guest bathroom today; DH vacuumed the house. What a nice guy!

DH got sick 3 days ago, his coughing is nearly GONE- ALREADY! He feels GREAT! He looks GOOD, he feels that his body's antibodies went to work on him ASAP and he rarely gets ill. Now, he gets well fast, too! I've had this "bug" lag on for 10 days, but like doctors say, "It'll last 2 weeks or 14 days," is true.

Had a "sticky" email this a.m., pressuring me to do a couple of things, which I don't "need" nor "want" to do. This person seems to hate the fact how I'm on S. S. now, want to lessen up on writing stories, and enjoy life, by quilting, crocheting, hiking, etc... It's absolutely KILLING them, how I'm not crocheting for extra $$! Just because she works a 40-hour week, outside the home, it's like it's driving her absolutely crazy how I'm happy with my life, right now, as it is. :? I thought she knew me better or well enough to be happy for me, but she keeps bringing up new interests for me to pursue. I don't "get it". Am I missing something here? I'm turning 63 and can do what **I** choose to do; not things/activities somebody else chooses FOR me. I know she's trying to be well-meaning, but I told her I'd never crochet for $$, because I write and my hands, wrists, fingers, and back couldn't endure all the house, to have that type of business. I explained how a hobby's supposed to be enjoyable, not a business, and I crochet for family, friends, and myself. I don't have the time or desire to do it professionally, take out a business license, etc... I don't think she knows what all is involved in such an undertaking. Too time-consuming, too. I'd never have time to crochet for family, friends, or our home or myself, if I was working to make a living from it. I told her, also, my old body isn't like it used to be, physically, to do that type of crochet. I gave her an example of a dfriend who quilts, who is constantly asked by women to quilt their quilt tops for them. She tells them now, for the same reasons I won't crochet for $. I crocheted a baby afghan, for $30 once, had to find a box, and ship it. The lady was unhappy to have to pay so much, when her own mother, whom was my friend, told her I'd received a $50 or more, baby afghan, because of the beautiful workmanship in it and for her to just be quiet. SHE appreciates crochet and knew how time-consuming it is. Many people don't want to pay you what you're worth, for the supplies, time, and trouble and then is you need to ship it, you need to find that special box, address it and mail it from the P. O. After that experience, I decided to not do it professionally.

Happy Hump Day tomorrow, Everybody! Have a GR8 night, too! :D

I wouldn't have known the site was done except for the comments here. Thank heavens dh was around. When something like this happens, please email both of us.

I had a good time at Presbytery. Someone was clearing out their library and I picked up 4 more books. Sigh.... I had promised I wouldn't get anything new until I read the stuff I already had!

Dinner was good but servings weren't large enough so I had a serving of the chowder when I got home. I did enjoy chatting with an old friend. (She actually got me into being a lay worship leader by bringing me to a meeting and connecting me with the right people and finally getting me a book I needed from the university library.)

The meeting ended right on time. It was boring, but it ended right on time. Worship was dark in tone in response to the darkness in the world right now. So lament rather than praise.

There was a 30 minute presentation with a request for help and then we learn it conflicts with our Conference weekend in May and all 100 of us at the meeting are supposed to be in a different city at that time. Hummpphhhhh.

I will have to go away in May since the project I did for the church will be reviewed and discussed that weekend and I want to be part of the discussion. I'll leave dh back at home so we can offer to billet people coming in for the other event. Now that we live in the city, on transit, we are in a position to billet people.

I sat with my minister for the evening and had fun writing notes to him (he's deaf so I write notes but, get this, he writes a note back instead of just whispering the answer!) He and I are meeting up for coffee on Thursday morning to get some work done on annual report and other stuff.

Got home from Presbytery in just 20 minutes, a full 20 minutes faster than if I had to drive back to the village, so that part was good.

I froze most of the chowder in single servings and am now catching up with email. My minister friend got my snail-mail letter and has already written back. In it I told him my idea for him finding someone was a 'cunning plan' (a Blackadder reference) that had as much chance of success as any of Baldrick's but I was offering it to make him smile. He wrote back that I had made him smile, so, Success!!!!

Off to bed now. I'll write him in the morning when I can do so from the treadmill. My stepcount today is very low.

Lilac, sorry your DH still has the ear issue. Boy, that's been a long while.

I saw the error page, and now when I try to check in my history keeps bringing up the error page! I had to force it to load the page I'd typed, then I had to log in again. I guess I should get all that history out of here. Anyway, thanks for fixing it.

LadyM, that's a lot of stuff to get done in one afternoon. I'd heard about the haziness one gets after a cataract operation, but I didn't know that was actually another cataract. I wonder why that happens?

I've been having trouble with my eyes recently. Pretty hard to drive at night. And slow to focus, especially when I'm tired. I've made up my mind I need to go to the eye dr. and I will as soon as my tax paperwork is at the cpa's and my audits are done. I guess I will call ahead and set up the appointment. Yes, I'm procrastinating a bit. I've been told I have cataracts, many years ago. Maybe they're getting bad. Need to talk myself into facing this. DH needs his hands looked at, he thinks he needs to have a procedure done. I don't want to think this year will be more like last year was.

Every day I tackle one project that I need for finishing my taxes and getting ready for audits. Yesterday I copied all the reports I need so I'll have copies here for the auditors while the tax man has the rest. Today I did a very tedious copying of a couple ledger pages, while fixing stuff, and that took me a couple hours. Just a few more chores...then I'm done.

If I could just quit coughing...
