Hi everyone! I finally closed a problem ticket at payroll that has been plaguing me for more than a week! I could not find WHERE the problem was supposed to be occurring. Then, I could not get the problem to occur. I concluded that it is not a problem anymore - that the data has been updated. A coworker confirmed it, and the ticket is GONE! Today will be spent learning stuff.

Last night, DD13 and I had Chinese and got her cabinet cleaned, anchored, and holding 3 baby dragons hatching from their eggs. There will be a fourth one after her birthday party, which is Saturday. Not exactly looking forward to it, because it will consist of me, DD13, 3 or 4 guests, the X, and the other woman. On a better note, it is payday. On a lousy note, the oil light came on in my car, when I started it. It turned off again within 10 seconds, but I will certainly attend to that at the nearest gas station to the train station. I cannot afford a new car, and if I could, they still don't make mine anymore.

Tomorrow is the birthday party, no cats for that reason, then I will go to the knit/crochet group. I will need the company of the group after having to be polite to the two adulterers.

Tonight, I MUST wrap DD's gifts! Also get the thank you note done.

Today's focus: CATCHUP!

In answer to Harriet's question of Wednesday: I know why I am losing weight, and it would be a good thing if it weren't for the associated migraines. My new schedule is the cause. I only have 30 minutes for lunch, so I have to bring mine in, eliminating the restaurant calorie overload. The long commute ensures I rarely have time to eat out for dinner, and I don't have time for big dinners, further reducing calorie consumption. It may be healthier, I do NEED to drop some, except that blood sugar drops and weight loss cause migraines for me.

Gave myself a quick manicure. Applied clear polish so that limited what I could do for the next 30 minutes. I decided pushing a vacuum around could be done without touching wet nails and that lead to moving dining room furniture around so I could vacuum well. I swapped the 2 tables and moved the chairs in a different pattern. Cleaned up and organized LO desk because DGD3 has been using *his* things (crayons, paper, scissors, etc). I have been thinking of DGD3 of only being here short term so I haven't set her up with her own cards, supplies and areas. I probably should gather DGD3 some supplies of her own and establish a desk for her things just so it can give LO some relief of having her in his space. But setting anything up for DGD3 that appears permanent might set DD off. Such simple things needing to be extensively evaluated is draining.

Good morning - for 5 more minutes here. Lots I'd like to say but I can't stay long. I'm currently finishing my lunch, eating some apple cut up into yogurt. I've discovered Wall aby yogurt! I'm eating plain yogurt over half a cut up apple. It's quite thin, and I'm used to Greek yogurt consistency, but I really really like the flavor! Apparently, it is Australian style. I don't remember yogurt in Australia being different than here? Anyhow, this is a new favorite for me!

I've had a pretty productive a.m.; got half the a.m. routine done, replied to an email, filled out pertinent info on a form for dd16 to open a new bank account, and was out the door late at 9:30. I went to WW (down 0.1 lb - so really nothing, except I think I forgot to take off my shoes and weighed in with them still on my feet) and then met dd16 at our bank. We succeeded this time in opening an account for her. Yesterday, we went to the bank but didn't have her SSN and so had to come back. She's switching from a bank we really don't like but lets kids under the age of 16 hold accounts to our bank. Home again, I tweaked my syllabus, printed it out, and fixed some lunch, which I'm finishing now.

Next for me: finalize lesson plans for this afternoon, make up an attendance sheet, a little QT, 1 lol washed and put in the dryer. I'll be leaving again in 45 minutes.

Called and made appt for LO to see his pediatrician on Monday. They are recommending LO start taking lowest dose of Concerta. I want to hear pediatrician view on this and if he agrees then to write the prescription.

Served BBQ pork sandwiches. Love pulling a meal size package out of the freezer and having it ready to serve in about 10 minutes.

DGD3 went with DH! Usually she won't agreed to leave me. At first she didn't want to do it, but then I told her that the Hello Kitty doll was going on an adventure with Papa and handed the doll to DH. That was enough to get DGD3 to happily agree to leave me. PROGRESS! DH is making the 3rd trip in he last 24 hours to pick up repair parts. The electrician worked on the high voltage for almost an hour this morning and have it working. Now that power is restored, a drive motor isn't working. It is like dominios falling.....one thing affects another. ANYway, this 2 hour drive will give me almost enough time to volunteer at LO school without DGD3 *helping* me.

Sunday school curriculum is ready for Sunday. No craft this week so my prep is all finished. Yay!

While the copier was running, I did a bit of tidying in the living room.

The washer just buzzed so I have a load of laundry to hang up to dry. Then I'll go over my notes for the meeting on Sunday. Might end up taking those in the car with me.

Hello, everyone!
We finally have some white stuff in our yard. That is great – as long as the electricity stays on – b/c it gives me an excuse to go NOWHERE. Dh just left to go to the post office.

OTOH, I really need to do the ironing today. It is piled up sky-high. I guess that will be my focus for today.
Also need to call my daunt and tell her we found the base to the second lamp of the pair she was interested in. LOL – now I’m feeling bad that I gave my OTHER daunt so many “freebies” to go with her 2 lamps, in an effort to equalize the bargain daunt1 got with her 2 big lamps for $25 each. Maybe daunt1 will take some other small goodies, too…
I am definitely NOT cut out for a career in sales.

(((Twins))) I can’t imagine how sad and frustrating it must be to spend that time with your dsis, but it is wonderful that you do take the time to visit with her and make sure things are going well, or as well as can be expected. * Good that you vary the day of the week also! Very good for staff not to always know exactly when to expect you!

Look at LadyM over there… 50 degrees… :P
Brrrr… here we are at 23/feels like 15. * shiver *
And Kathryn is just LOL at this whiney Southern belle…

You are managing so well with the new “addition” to the household, LadyM! I am very impressed w/your new discipline method for LO! And glad to hear LO is adjusting to his full-time playmate. Great idea Kathryn had to add cards for dgd!
BTW – I’ve missed something or forgotten – what is dd doing now that causes her to need to leave dgd with y’all so much of the time? Was it a change of job shift?
Ditto Harriet’s comment, too!
I imagine you are holding yourself to a high standard, and every once in a while you need have a good giggle over all this!
(((Dee)))

Wow – Nancy – I bet that WAS impressive for dgd, having a chicken lay an egg right at her feet!

(((Elizabeth)))

Waving to helia… I wish I liked yogurt. I just don’t like the taste of any of it. I don’t even care for frozen yogurt.

Waving to ALL!
I should start getting busy… probably need to call dmom… I’m just kinda in a bad mood all around. More in J&C.
Tomorrow is another day.

I will try again today and see what happens. Mr. Guy fixed a few of the problems but not all. Monday he will take this ugly thing I hate over to "the guy" to see if he can resolve the rest. I love Pinterest and have worked to make some nice boards and Mr. Guy feels , after googling it, read about the Pinterest virus and this may be some of my problems. He will talk to "the guy" about it. One thing I discovered was when I tried to erase my breaks and the whole dang thing disappeared. So, I think this won't have breaks because I can't trust it.

Last night just before 10:00 Clara, my peregrine falcon Mom on City Hall in San Jose laid her first egg. YAY! :D She is very early this year, but she and Fernando have been seen copulating all over San Jose .  I love this time of year. We will try to get down there when the babies start too fly.

Rosie and I have both been sick, so unfortunately no Mardi Gras party this year. She puts on such a great MG party too.

Our DD came from San Jose to spend 3 days with us and despite me constant coughing we had a great time. She is my step-daughter but I feel so lucky that I have her and could not love her more if I had given birth to her. It is a great feeling. We have no issues and I am so very thankful.

Time to get ready to go for my nails. (Looks like this will post properly!)

Hi everyone!!

Spent most of the day re-arranging spare room and trying to make things work better in there.
Just had something to eat at 3. Dishes are scheduled for 4 and teeth get brushed at 5. It seems I have a Friday schedule!

Decided to tackle whatever was under the bed and all I found was the only missing sock! Nothing had been stashed there since September 1 when we moved in.

It has been 17 Celcius in here since last night. It's cold!
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Glad you have such a nice relationship with your step daughter, Norma, with no issues. NICE! I've been coughing, coughing too. Not sure if it's allergies (the pollen's out big time down here) or if it's yet another cold. Don't feel too bad -except for needing the rest that the coughing keeps me from getting.

LucyLee,
OTOH, I really need to do the ironing today.
What in the world is THAT?!?!? I remember when I used to sprinkle mine, roll it and place it in the freezer -then would take out a little at a time to iron. Can't believe how much time I used to spend doing that. Rarely does anything need pressing these days -but it does happen -then I can't find an iron.

Thanks for the hugs -they mean a lot to me. I just had a flash thought this afternoon -if I decide I really need to talk to someone my friend who visited last Friday (lives in IN and is the wife of our former pastor), I can definitely call her and chat. She, above all, will understand and she's someone I can share with on anything. There isn't really anyone else I can talk with, other than dh, on this particular subject. Have to whittle out a goodly amount of time to talk with her.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

On the way home from LO school, I went to the old house and filled the SUV (except for the 3 seats we were using). I unloaded it and almost had a major owie. I had unloaded a dozen decorative bricks, then backed up so I wouldn't have to carry the rest of the items so far. when I opened the back hatch back, a heavy folding table came tumbling down right onto my toes. Thankfully I had boots on and a split second to pull my toes back so the edge of the table only hit the tips of my toes. It hurt like fire but I don't think any damage was done. I can wiggle my toes and walk with no problem. I am most definitely counting my blessings!

Earlier this week DH was in a situation where water & electric came together just a few inches from his head. Sparks flew, electricity arced...while DH was standing in water. it could have been a disaster, but DH walked away unhurt. We are definitely counting our blessings there too.

Lasagna (from a box) is in the oven. It should be ready to eat in 30 minutes.
