Dh is back and as I expected was surprised I wasn't getting ready for church. He was really sick all day yesterday and he still looks pretty peaked. I gave him all my reasons for staying home today -sure doesn't happen very often- and I mentioned he looked like he still didn't feel good -he doesn't. So we're staying home.

Dsonil went to Tarpon Springs yesterday and he's still not home either. Not sure what he had going there.

I hate shopping on Sundays as well and rarely do it -though this may be one of those days. I need some plastic totes for some things -but maybe I can sort into boxes and get the totes tomorrow and do a transfer.

Today groc. store run with 3 grands in tow could be an adventure in a but. Edited change in plans dgsonsx2 are not coming with so tbat makes it a bit less hetic.
But breakfast is up first then hen chores in a bit. Br-r 25* outside here now and 48* for a hi today. Yesterday we surpassed the high temperature by four degrees.

Coffee is good, sinuses are acting up a bit I was sneezing but seems to be done now.

Dh moved the bins in the left side of our closet (these all belong to dd & dsonil). One box had mechanical engineering books belonging to dsonil. A few weeks ago he wanted 2 or 3 of those books to study for a test he was taking at C oca C ola and insisted they'd been in the office. NOT -they'd been in our closet since probably day #1. He took a few of those -it was a topless cardboard box so I took the other few and put them on the bookcase in the 'art' room. Another plastic closed bin has some of dd's Christmas penguin ornaments which can go into the Christmas box in the garage -or perhaps it's in the closet in the 'art' room now that I think about it. There were a few other things in there as well. There's another topless bin with several of dsonil's things and I may put them in this bin and stack it in our closet. Regardless we'll end up with fewer things in there.

At any rate, the end of the closet holding the last plastic bin was wet -surprise! surprise! Dh now has the fan pointed in that direction. I've got the big bin pushed back and put only plastic things in it. Found out most things won't fit in the bin.

(((Dee))) you are doing a good job working your way through the wet items. Is removing the baseboard and/or pulling up the carpet an option?

I have been off schedule and not working SHE cards the last couple of snow days. I miss the structure and feeling of accomplishment when I follow the cards. It is good to take a break from them......and I have an renewed appreciation as I return to them.

This morning LO and I teamed up to set his wall calendar up for March. We also discussed setting goals for the month of March and he set 2 goals. Those 2 goals are written on 3x5" cards and displayed on the top row of his calendar.

ran to target - as dh normally gets the cat litter, dog food, and cat food - I got him a gift card to target - he is thrilled lol

Afternoon y'all..

My morning was a lazy one...starting with coffee in bed and watching Law and Order. During commercials I picked up footprints...were very few, fed doggies and started the laundry. Now I am doing some desk work.

I have dinner ready and several crafty things I want to work on. House is in good order and its trying to be a rainy day. Sure looks and smells like it, but I haven't seen any rain drops yet.

I am working tomorrow so need to make sure I am ready for the morning. I am off to enjoy the rest of my day...hope y'all get to do the same.

Hi everyone! Doing my usual things for a Sunday, cuop here in the Village, R&R at my home. No company here today; Dfam#2 is visiting ddil's dparents this weekend. Dgdaughters20 & 13 had a music thing yesterday with the Dunedin Pipe Band at the Northeast FL Highland Games. Dgd20 plays the drums and dgd13 the bagpipes. There was judging and dgd13 got 4th out of 9.

Congratulations to Harmony's dgs in Honor Society and to Harriet's dd for good letter for engineering internship. I must have missed how Helia's dd16 did with her music festival, but I'm sure it was very well!

Would like to comment on singing....I like to sing, but over the years as I age I have lost my voice. I know how the tune is supposed to sound, but it sure doesn't come out that way. I can't seem to quite find the right notes! Anyway, no one hears me! It always sounds good when I hear it in my head!

Growing up in the 50s and 60s our big city stores were always closed on Sundays. Ddad would take our family for a ride out into the country and we would stop at the small town Isaly's Deli and get some lunch meat for the coming week. They had the best chipped ham! Most of the stores are closed now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaly%27s and http://www.isalys.com/ Most of the stores in the small town were closed on Sundays also.

Blessed, I kwym about not seeing the clutter. Even if there is a place to put items away, if it is used every day, or almost every day, it sometimes gets left out and becomes part of the decor!

Time to change my clothes and get ready to go to dcousin's house for dinner. We try to get together at least once while they are here in FL. We made oatmeal blueberry muffins to take along.

Home again.

Got very favourable comments about the anthem at both services.

Said our goodbyes to our church family. It will be six Sundays until we see them again.

My second service went smoothly but no comments on the sermon so it mustn't have worked for them. (It was about modern day martyrdom.)

We spent 40 minutes with them after the service having tea and cookies. Next week I have to rush off to another service so I wanted to spend time with them this week. Lots of hugs. The granddaughter (a woman in her late 30s) who attends service asked for a link to my blog so she could print off my news and share it with them while we're gone.

We are home, I've changed and put away the load of laundry I did this morning. My legs are incredibly sore (to the point of not being able to walk easily) so I'm not sure if I'll get my steps in today. I need 12K to sustain my weekly average and only have 4K so far. I just don't see another 3.5 miles in my day.

It has started to walk so, despite the warmer temps, I'm not tempted to go out for a walk.

It is month-end for dh so he's working hard. Sabbath means nothing to him. There are very few weeks that he doesn't put in at least a few hours every single day of the week. On the ship he'll not work but he almost always checks emails and often responds to them. On at least one cruise he ended up responding to a request for proposals. I check email, here, and FB but that's just keeping in touch with friends, not work.

As expected, today was NOT as activity-filled as yesterday. Very little to remark on, although I did take the rock project to dmom. She LOVED it! Went on and on about it. So glad I did it.
