Lynlee - So very true! I needed that reminder. I hope you are able to get some good rest. (((Hugs)))

it is still in the 40's and nice outside. However the closings have already started due to ice/snow expected. The military base has announced it is closed until noon tomorrow. Churches are already calling off Wednesday evening services. All the local schools have already announced they are closed tomorrow. I can only imagine those in the north are laughing at us .....

DH is moving one last trailer load before the weather hits.

Weather hit here just as I was leaving.

I left at 4:12. The idea was to pick up my sari blouse from the tailor and then drive out to meet my friend. But since it was still early in both the storm and rush hour, I decided to head out to the suburb we were meeting at. On the way, MF called to make sure I was ok with driving in the bad weather and I told him I was already there but had an errand to run. I only ended up waiting 7 minutes for him (he was still at home when he called me.)

We talked for 3+ hours and then brushed our cars off and headed home. He had to also scrape his car but mine didn't need scraping. I'm wondering if that's because of the rain-x from the car wash. Anyway the drive home was much trickier but I was still home by 9.

Dd has set dinner up for the 8th after my two preaching jobs. We'll go out to dinner instead of my cooking (that's our last day here and I suspect we won't have much in the way of food here.) She had offered to cook at my place but going out will be easier.

The Comprehensive Review Report (the proposal to completely overhaul the governance of my denomination) was made public while I was at dinner. I've downloaded all 100 pages and will read it during the flights. I've read the summary so am prepared for discussion tomorrow at my Christian Development Ministry Team Meeting (since that committee will no longer exist under the new structure.)

Off to bed now since I'm not typing all that well due to tiredness.

Study this morning was okay, more people but less pleasant, somehow. Co-teacher has a bubbly personality and speaks well, but suddenly pops up with opinions of her own that are definitely off the mark, if not downright politically incorrect. (offensive? I hope they were not - but maybe) She laughs but... .. hmmm... ... just not things one would SAY, ya know?

I forgot a birthday and feel foolish about it. I was going to do so much better about birthdays. How easy to have gotten a card into the mail. It just slipped by me.

That summer architecture program looks possible for dd again. She was told it would conflict with her internship. But now that the info is online, I find that it only conflicts with a 2-hour (mandatory) meeting that would be a few minutes away from the university itself. I called about it and the person in charge says she sees no problem with one student needing to break away to attend a meeting for a few hours, especially since their university is a sponsor of both programs. So right now, we're considering both again, although I imagine the scholarship to it has been awarded during the time we thought dd wasn't eligible to apply.

I waited all evening for my dcousin's return call, and when she finally did call at 10:00, she tells me she will be here tomorrow, not Thursday. If I had only known I would have visited my colorist already. I'll probably just do it first thing in the morning.

Spinning and getting sick - LadyM, I have a terrible memory of being spun too fast on one of those things. I hope LO feels well now.

Lynlee, I thought about fatigue today, remembering my hormone dr's admonishment to take B-12. I have grown lax in that dept and may get back to more regular dosing myself (under-the-tongue lozenges during early part of day for me). However, sleep is number one delightful help.

((blessed)) I hope you feel better and better.

Twins' Mom, great to hear your hand feels better, and happy that you got help for Moses quickly - hope that shoulder turns out to be no big deal.

BookSaver, my ds will be leaving in the a.m. to fly  to your neck of the woods (via Atlanta, oddly), over the state line in eastern Nebraska. He's being sent to finalize "specs" for purchases of fire engines.

For the better part of 2 days we have been getting ready for the carpet layers. I have emptied a large walk-in closet in the basement, including all shelves and rods. You can't imagine all that I can neatly put into a closet. We have 10 ft. of closet space for dh in our bedroom and that has all been emptied. The basement bedroom has all the furniture removed. Our room has everything but the bed and dh's night table.

Dh went to bed at 10 and I mopped the floor in the kitchen, entry and breakfast area. I had intended to vacuum the basement bedroom, but after I walked past the vacuum cleaner and got tangled up in the cord and tripped, I decided to come here instead and do that in the morning.

I know all this work will be worth it, but I will be glad when the house is put back together.

Guess I better head to bed, 6 am will be here before I know it. At least tomorrow I will have some down time and I have a library book that I need to finish.
