Re: Tell about your Tuesday!
Quick Hello to all!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORD MAVERICK!
LadyM, it was a good thing that you had extra meds and dgd was able to get them. I'm glad that you are starting to feel better, hope dh is also!
Plans for my Tuesday is a quick spiffing of the house to get ready for company at supper this afternoon. Dcousin-S and her dh will be here. They will be leaving soon for AK via VA and we wanted to get together once more before they leave. I have folded the sheets and towels washed yesterday, s&s bathroom, vacuumed carpet already. Just have to flick a dust cloth over the flat surfaces and I'll be ready. Dinner is planned and there is a sugar-free cake in the oven. Next I will get the dishes out, ready to set the table and get serving dishes out.
Wishing everyone a good day!

Re: Tell about your Tuesday!
Good morning SHEville from Dubai!
Although here is 8:10 p.m.
My body is confused. I woke up on the plane at 7:15 (body time) ready to do regular body things. To confuse things further, the next meal was breakfast. They served us dinner at midnight, snacks through the night (but I slept) and then breakfast at 8:30.
We are in the lounge. I've s2s (fresh t-shirt, underwear and socks) and the shampoo made my hair go frizzy so I actually looked better before I showered! But I feel better clean. TOM took a break overnight so I had a short break but things have started up again.
I have 45 minutes until we board our next flight (11 hours long.)
The lounge deals with people flying in from all over so is serving breakfast, lunch and dinner simultaneously!
Anything gushing you've read about Emirates Air or the A380 is true. Our 13 hour flight felt too short. I only watched two movies, slept 6 hours, ate a steak dinner and french toast for breakfast and hung out in the lounge area at the stand up bar for a while. Then it was time to leave!
Really, really, looking forward to the flight home on the same kind of plane. (The next plane today won't be as nice.)

Welcome to Runkitty!
Sorry it took us a while to activate you. I nearly did it automatically because I remembered your handle, but then thought we'd better do due diligence.

Re: Tell about your Tuesday!
Ooooooh! Glad to see Kathryn checking in from around the world!
Have done that round. Found a message on my phone from vet from yesterday saying that the tumor that was removed from between dMoses toes was melanoma, but benign! We was an issue with the bone biopsy and I've called him back and left a message for him to call me after lunch. Will ask then about about bringing in Moe to get bandage on foot changed out, because it's gotten damp.
I need to have lunch, then.....
-walk Macs and Moe in the rain
-check mother's accounts online, pay her credit card if I haven't already
-25 minutes on temple issue I need to work on
-5 minute break
-25 minutes on religious school work for meeting next week

Re: Tell about your Tuesday!
Twins, how can a tumor be both melanoma and benign? Aren't they opposites?
I slept in a very long time after getting up one time to give DH a check to take to the dentist.
Drove downtown to take back a due library book and also pick some more up. Then I stopped to pick up Rx's but they weren't ready till this afternoon. I'll have to go back. I must remember this pharmacy seems to be a day slower than the old one I used to use.
Talked with DD a while. Typed/printed/emailed off a proposal for DH. Paid some bills. There's one left, if I hurry I'll catch the postwoman.
LadyM I hope you continue to feel better, DGD too. Happy birthday to your DH.
Kathryn, I guess you don't feel claustrophobic on planes? I wonder if I do now....

Re: Tell about your Tuesday!
No wonder the postal service is having difficulties, they are making too many mistakes.
Dm mailed dh's and my card on Saturday. Mine arrived yesterday and once again today, his didn't.
Dm told me that her sister had mailed a package at Christmas to her dgs and his wife that never arrived.
I think I posted this but will repeat it. On Jan. 30 I mailed a check to a credit card company. On Feb.5, a lady called that lives 200 miles from me. She had just opened a church newsletter that was from a small church 10 miles from here. Inside was my envelope and it hadn't been canceled. After playing phone tag with her, I told her to remail it. She said she would. I trusted that she would. On Feb. 16 I was looking on line at my checking account and that check had not been deducted. It was due on the 15th. I called the credit card company and explained. I wanted to pay it from my checking account and was able to do that. I asked if I would be charged the $37 late fee and he said no. So.......I get my next bill and they had charged a $26 late fee and interest. I always pay in full to avoid interest. So I called again. This gal agreed that I shouldn't have to pay a late fee, because they didn't access a late fee until the day after it was paid over the phone. So she said I shouldn't have to pay the late fee or interest. So this time I told her I wanted to pay via my checking account anything that was on my account. I am keeping that statement handy so when the next one comes in, if there is an issue, I will be able to call them without hunting up what I need.
After that last call to the credit card company, I called my bank. They said I needed to stop payment on it. They were originally going to charge me $30 but reduced it to $15. On top of that I had to make a special trip to the bank to sign a paper.
All this aggravation and expense because the postal service didn't get my bill to it's intended designation. I have wondered if the gal did mail that, because if she did, that means is got lost twice. Is that possible?
Well that is my gripe for the day................

Re: Tell about your Tuesday!
Twins - so it is good news? I'm a bit confused.
Lilac - that is so frustrating!
I continue to marvel at how easy it is to shop on Ama*zon. Yesterday I used 3 hours of time to shop brick/mortar store. On my way out the door the security alarm was set off, so I was immediately approached by a security person and an employee to check my bags. I had to show proof that I was not a thief. they didn't remove a thing-a-ma-jig from a watch I had purchased. Then I walked outside to my vehicle while wondering if I was in danger from some young men following me that were wearing hoodies over their head. As I got into my car in the dark to make the 25 mile trip home on wet pavement.....I thought to myself.... WHY am I shopping this way when I could do a few clicks and these items would be delivered to my door?
This morning a new bath mat was delivered to the door - the bath mat cost no more than one in brick/mortar store and I had the satisfaction of knowing it was the highest rated bath mat from the reviews. Easy.
I know everything isn't available online, but I intend to keep increasing my online shopping and reducing brick/mortar shopping.
Weekly bathroom cards are done. I took some extra time deep cleaning & disinfecting since sickness has been in our home the last couple of days.
DH came home sick and has been napping in the recliner.
DMIL and DAunt stopped by with birthay gifts for DH. They declined to come inside because they didn't want to be exposed to the sick germs.
Iced coffee. Mmmmhhhh... I added a scoop of protein powder to the blender so am going to consider this drink to be my lunch.

I had to take a peek at where Kathryn is located. I feel like a groupie following K&K travel adventures.
