MARCH MONDAY

Post by DeeClutter »

Have a good last March Monday. I'm on the way with dd to New Port Richey for her dental appointment. Then we'll be on our way to see db/dsisil about an hour from there. Hopefully dniece & family will be there from up north.

Good Morning!

I feel well rested even though sleeping came in small doses. I lost count the number of times I was awaken

BBL

Editing my post since no one is here.

Timer just went off for the hard boiled eggs. I have menu planned for today and have started prep.

B: Muffins (apple/raisin/pecan).
L: Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla, Green salad with tomatoes, peppers, carrots.
D: Pulled pork, potato salad, green beans

I ***might** have solved my menu planning system. AFter unsuccessfully searching the web looking for a solution that addressed all aspects (food inventory, menu planning, prep instructions for upcoming meals, cost per serving, nutrition data on serving size, etc) I think I have found a solution that addresses all those issues and more. This will be my first full week using this newly created and evolving system so it is too soon to tell, but I am VERY excited about the possibilities.

I recently switched from using typical muffin pan to using Whoopie pie pan. I love this size! DGD3 won't eat muffins but will eagerly eat a muffin shaped like a "cookie". I like having a small portion (instead of a big muffin). Of course, I can always eat multiple small portions that equal a large muffin. :P

Today starts the new bathroom construction. I am NOT looking forward to having workmen in my home....even though we have known them for years. They are very trustworthy.. It's not that aspect that I dread having here....but just the extra level of activity that has to be managed. And multiple decisions as we go through the contruction process. Do I want this or that? Rinse/repeat. Also extra careful watching of little ones because of the activity. The sound of jack hammer will draw their attention like flies to honey.
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.

Good morning, villagers ~

Today is a desk day. Here's my current 8x5 of desk chores:
* type my messy scribbled training notes from work and convert the pages to a PocketMod
* begin month-end bookkeeping for library group
* begin month-end bookkeeping for sewing group
* begin filling in the multi-page tax report form for library group -- due 4/15 so it isn't quite the last minute
* 2 DPCs
* pay bills
* go to the post office and ATM
* investigate the rewards program on our credit card to see if we have enough points for a free K coffee maker

Somewhere in there I need to do 2-3 loads of laundry, and make a pasta salad for supper which DH can eat while I'm at work.

Good morning! I was only able to cuop for 1 day before my internet crashed again. Dh called and they will be out between 10 and 12 today to work on it.

I need to color my hair and have errands to run. We are to have 3 days of 80's before it cools off again.

Had to meet dd1 at car repair shop this a.m., then take her home so she could take another vehicle to work.

Good Morning
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Had a fun afternoon with the grandsons yesterday.
Along with the Morning stuff and Monday's cleaning, I will be heading to Dparents
house to get their shopping done along with some cleaning.
When home this afternoon will tackle my long %$#^ of things that need to be done.
One more cup of coffee then start my day.

Good morning! Dh and I are heading home this morning. We've tried to stay on EDT, but I'm not sure we've been totally successful since we just got up and it is 7:30 here and 10:30 EDT. . . . . .

Dh is a bit sick, which meant we took it easy yesterday. We went to see the ruins of some ancient cliff dwelling Indians (so interesting!) and then spent some time in a coffee shop back in Sedona. We had made reservations for dinner last night and the meal was very good - but a bit rich, so dh had some issues last night. We didn't get to the airport restaurant, Elizabeth. We had a gazillion things on our list and we barely scratched the surface. It looks like Sedona has a lot of great restaurants! I guess we'll just have to come back some day. :)

This hotel has a wonderful breakfast, a small buffet of fruit, yogurt, muesli, cereal - and then the chef cooks each patron a warm meal. Our pattern here has been to eat a hot breakfast, skip lunch, and eat an early dinner.

I called dd16 in sick today so she doesn't have to go to school, though she says she will probably go the last 2 hours. She has a cough, sore throat, headache, and stuffed up nose. She didn't sound good on the phone last night. She also has a dentist appt. today. . . . .I called last week to see if she could go to the appt. without an adult, and they were fine with that. Dd16 wondered on the phone last night if they would really want to put their hands in her mouth. Hmmmm......

Off to s2s. We'll leave in about 2.5 hours. Flight out of Phoenix is at 2:15. Back to real life. *sigh*

LM I love the idea of cooking utensils I have been known to collect fun shaped cake pans!

Had a low in the night glad I did not over do it to get it up.

The sun is up and a lovely day is on tap. We will be having more normal temps. And wind mid. Week spring weather is here.
