Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Good morning! I did manage to get the church webwork done (the minor update, not the complete rebuild!), meds into cat, and other cat care done. This cat is the same one the vet thought had bobcat ancestry, but he sure was good about getting meds. He didn't like it much, obviously, but he behaved better than most. I did notice some unusual characteristics in him at the vet. He was complaining rather loudly in the waiting room. Another animal org was bringing in lots of cat crates, many filled with kittens. Because the presence of kittens has calmed him at the adoption clinic, I turned his crate so he could see them. Instant calm. In the treatment area, he was confronted with a whining whimpering dog (I think he was in pain) and a large barking dog. He acted like they weren't there and allowed the vet and tech to get him out, carry him to the scale (near the barking dog), take his temperature, and generally poke him about. And yet he is horribly nervous at adoption clinic. I got him to purr while waiting on his meds.
Sorry to hear about DeeClutter's vehicle issues. I can certainly relate.
RunKitty: I don't have any foxes, but DD13 has a Siberian husky, Lucius, that loves to catch and kill birds in flight who would have no trouble protecting me from those vile chickens. In the past, my friend has asked me to look after her pets while she was out of town. I told her "I won't go into that yard without Lucius and a shotgun for backup". Don't know why she thinks I, of all people, would want to look after her chickens. I have been attacked four times by three different birds (2 roosters and one hen), one seriously enough to leave a scar that took a year to fade. DD13 is afraid to go into the yard. One day she is going to have a big liability issue, and there won't be anyone other than herself who will testify in court that her birds are harmless and sweet. (She would testify to that, because she believes it to be the truth. However, no judge or lawyer would consider it anything other than deliberate perjury.)

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Has been a productive morning so far. I was up around 7:30 and had s2s-ed by the time the guy got here to measure for built ins in our great room at 9:30. Since he left, I have done some of the online desk day work - updated mother's accounts, paid her credit card, updated my checking account, cked on mother's scripts, backed up Quicken, checked on temple bank accounts and transferred temple $$ from Paypal.
I need to finish up a.m. routine and head out for errand run. The plan is to do decluttering and zone work when I get back. Dh is out tonight so I have a long time to work!
-call about hair appt!
-start a lol
-walk Macs
-clear kitchen counters and bkfast bar
-make the bed

Good morning everyone.
Hope you continue to feel better, Lady M. Congratulations to your son.
Helia, I looked up the smallest computer. How fascinating! Hope you enjoy your busy day.

Elizabeth, you have made me laugh out loud again. Vile chickens indeed!! Your friend really lives in her own little world, doesn't she? I do think that Lucius should also be invited to lunch next time.
I have nothing against chickens; I even used to have some when I was a child, but your attackers obviously need to be in a pen. I can't believe she would ask you to take care of them while she was away. Truly delusional....

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Back from getting my perm. Now to decide whether to make a W mart run for a few things. Want to put a table together that I ordered from A mazon on Monday -for the front porch. Wanted a simple folding side table to set a drink on. Got one in sage green. Just have to remember to bring it inside before we leave in June -to avoid any high winds that might hit over the summer -'tis the season.

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
DSon and family are currently 4 hours south of us. They will be moving 5 hours North East of us. The drive (both directions) is mostly 4 lane 75mph the majority of the way. We are familiar with the area where they are moving because it was the location of DSon's first job after college. We made several trips there during the couple years he lived there. DDIL has set a 3 year term limit on them living there. She is struggling with leaving a big city with all it has to offer.
I'm just so thankful we didn't give in to DSon/DDIL encouragement (begging) for us to move closer to them! I don't want to move again.....with plans on another move in 3 years. I'm too lazy!!!

Don't think that's being 'lazy', LadyM. At least I hope not. Think it's all the brain work that goes into it. Trying not to let my brain think on us possibly moving too much.

Good Afternoon Dear Ladies
When it rains it pours, is soooo true. We have had tons of rain/hail the past 30 hours, you may have seen the hail that was dropped in our area on the evening news, you could shovel it. Today is dry so far, they are saying more storms later, with more severe storms tomorrow.
Went downstairs to do some laundry and found water, just a small area but enough to have us move things..hubby is outside checking around the house for standing water, hopefully it is a one time thing and only in one spot, guess we will find out once this system moves out tomorrow nite and things start to dry out..still hope hubby calls to have it checked out
Hope you all have a good day.

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
I'm bad. I just went around my self imposed boundary by switching browsers. I can now CUOP and post to my hearts content without looking at the time. About a month ago, I set up a timer on Chrome browner that only allows me 60 minutes of screen time here & FB. Then it automatically blocks these 2 sites (resets at midnight). Normally I'm okay with that time restriction and it encourages me to not dawdle. However today I need to sit still because my body is rebelling when I move around. Vacuum = got to bathroom. Change sheets on bed = run for the bathroom. If I sit still I'm not having to make the bathroom dashes. Sooooo sit still I will. At least as much as I can while supporting the contractor guys here working and taking LO to/from school & activities.
DH is tougher than I am. He just keeps going. He can see the light at the end of the tunnel of the MPB repairs. After months of non-stop work effort, it is almost finished. He is making a 2 hour road trip this morning to pick up the final (we hope) part. I packed DH a bag of clothes to take with him so he can change if needed.
DGS17 is bringing his laptop tonight so I can show him how to replace the keyboard. It shouldn't take long. He doesn't care if I'm contagious because he wants his laptop fixed ASAP.
