Good afternoon, everyone! I have finished my report work and handed it of to our web person. I am now working trouble tickets.

In answer to Nancy's question: I think the attack rooster was grey speckled, but I could not swear to that. I was more trying to avoid than to study him. Can't remember the color of the previous, deceased attack rooster. The attack hen was white. I hope your rooster gets better. They are not my favorite animals, but I don't want them to be in pain either. And I certainly don't want a vet trip for you to pay for. I did actually take one of her hens to the vet when she was out of town, learned how to pick up a chicken, and how to give it meds. (I had her daughter get it from the yard for me). It didn't make it, but not because I didn't take care of it. I would probably do the same again, but someone else would have to do the meds for a rooster. I'm just not that brave.

I wish Molly's Nana would send us some rain. In a good year, we get about 8".

Molly - WOW! Hail enough to shovel! I hope you didn't have exterior damage.

We have had a couple storms come through in the last couple of weeks but they didn't provide much moisture. We received less than 1/2" total. We are still in extreme drought status with the worst rating (exceptional) getting closer (about 20 miles away).

Warning...very emotional furkid happening.....
I still haven't had time to process this because things have been too busy and being sick. I had to put my blue heeler dog down Monday because he bit one of the contractors without provocation. After going through the dog attack with DGD3 this past year, there was no way I was keeping a dog that I can't trust. It broke my heart to do it, but I couldn't live with myself if I didn't do it and something happened to a child. I had already tried to find him another home when we moved here (because of smaller yard) and didn't have any takers. I don't know exactly how long I have had this furkid but I do know it was more than 10 years. LO cried for hours when I told him. We still have LO's dog but our home seems empty without my furkid.

AGH! Construction fella just asked where the light and mirror I had selected for the bathroom. I forgot to buy those!! Back to the box store.

decided to try amazon. Took me a few minutes to figure out the name of what I want to buy -a lighted medicine cabinet. I thought they came with lights. Nope. At least not the ones I have found online so far.

Time is up. The alarm to go get LO from school is going off. Next is homework then Karate....followed by DGS17 laptop repair. I'm out of time for shopping tonight. Maybe tomorrow.

Just barely cuop... sending lots of continued "feel better" wishes to LadyM... IKWYM re: sitting being better re: bathroom dashes. BTDT.

Continuing to LOL @ Elizabeth's poultry stories -- but while I am laughing, I am also joining you and enraged FOR you, that this crazy person thinks you would be willing to care for her pets... This woman just totally amazes me.

I can apparently enjoy my computer, join in here and cuop and respond to everyone, OR I can make some sort of accomplishment in this household. I cannot do both, it seems.
Today, so far, y'all are on page 3 and I have
* walked 2 miles
* done two loads of laundry (1 hanging to dry, 1 waiting in washer)

Gee... that's not much... I've also spent waaay too much time on the computer before I even got here.
(I was looking for a Tennessee Ernie Ford song. "I Can Tell You Now the Time.")
Tomorrow is another day.

Back from a windy walk with toddlerN. Got creative with the route down a revine it was paved and had more wind protection. I wore a hood to protect my ears.

Really dragging here.

Got distracted on the computer doing the end of cruise survey and ended up rushing off to my meeting (should have set an alarm.)

Meeting was interesting. We did nothing but talk about problems in the world today. Nothing was being minuted and we could say what we like without judgement. The purpose was to figure out a pattern and possible signs of hope we can share with churches so they can take those signs of hope to their communities.

After that I took the car to be washed and then did the groceries. Hot cross buns and decent roasts were sold out but they had flowers marked down from $8 to $2 per bunch so I have 4 dozen flowers in a big vase now. They won't last 10 days but they will last about 5 and I'm thrilled with the over-abundance. When I was putting out spring decorations earlier today I had thought, "What I need here are flowers." and now I have them!

Dinner tonight will be hot dogs. I'm too tired to go out or do anything else. Then, I think early bed.

Weather is on its way to us. Dh is staying home from choir tonight due to his cough so we can just go to bed after dinner.

Aaaack! I fell back into the genealogy rabbit hole and haven't been seen since. Never got out to run errands at all. On the positive side, it would appear that I'm not "stuck" anymore on not being able to do proper citations. I'm plowing on through, hoping I'm close enough. :D I'm working on my Ancestry "shoebox." I have 55 pages there of 10 items each to evaluate and enter in my database. Don't know how many I got done today, because unfortunately, I added a few along the way.

I really need to do a few things before dh gets home and asks what I've done today.
-bring in recycling bin from street
-clear kitchen counters (again)
-reboot laundry and fold lol that is in dryer
-walk dMacs
-li%t for tomorrow

Assembled dinner (aside from cooking hot dogs, no cooking was involved.) Watched another episode of House of Cards. Cleaned up kitchen and am running the dishwasher now.

Will shut off my computer and head to bed. I still have laundry to put away but should be in bed by 9:15. I've asked dh to put the baseball game on in the bedroom. As a child, I'd go to sleep listening to baseball games so it is a sure way for me to get a good night's sleep and he can be in bed, snuggling with me as I drift off.

How exciting to watch our dgs10 meet his 'namesake' from Mercyhurst college tonight at the Roberts Wesleyan/Mercyhurst lacrosse game. Weather there was horrible -pouring rain and cold. At least it had stopped for a while near the end of the game and these 2 guys posed for memorable pictures. I'm sure there's some relation somewhere in the past -these two could pass for brothers I think. Dh got to go too I believe -the father of this other TV has the same name as my dh. :D And then ddil found out his mom is also from Wisconsin as she is. They're excited to have been able to make this contact and glad for dd's part in bringing all this about. Posted a pic on FB for anyone who has that capability.
