That took longer than expected but is done so I'm off for a nap for a while.

I'm not getting much done today. Went to work at church and finished the bulletin in fairly record time. From there I went W mart for a grocery run (that I have put off for several days). It was hard to finish -for some reason I am just plain bushed. I even sat and rested a few before I went to my car. Mustered enough energy to stop and fill my car. Went from there to dsisil's. After I very tiredly climbed their steps, found out she was at her sister's -about 800' from their place. Drove my car over there and stayed about 1/2 hour. Brought my groceries in, in spurts. Took care of the things that I had to, then curled up in the chair with a book & took a nap. Just went out and finished putting things away. I'm thinking that I really had a bug this week and it has done a number on me. Plus we went to Disney Wednesday & didn't get home until after 10:30. Last night dd and I played Trivia and were home again after 10:30. Think for the rest of today and Saturday I am just going to rest and putter, rest and putter.

Finding myself getting a bit concerned over dh's surgery coming next Friday. I am so hoping that they are able to repair his tear and that he will take it easy for a few days. If they can't repair it he will need a knee replacement and I think I'll have to go home. Just haven't figured out how to do that yet. Hate not being there even next Friday. DS-A will take him to the hospital that morning and he'll probably go back to his house for a couple of days at least. Checked today and realized dh has his cardiologist appointment on the following Monday. Will ask today if he wants me to call and change it. I think he's due for a stress test no doubt. No way will he be ready for that tread mill.

Nobody's home from work yet. Dsonil called about 15 minutes ago to say he had just left the plant in Tampa but traffic is horrendous and backed up a long way on the interstate. He's going to try coming through Tampa to avoid the backlog. DD called to say she was bringing home supper -that's fine with me today!

Think I'll go put up my meds for 2 weeks. Have to get some out for tonight anyway so may as well do it.

So far today -
* 5:00 am - 7:00am AM cards completed.
* 7:00 am Welcomed the construction crew. Discussed changing light fixtures. They brocaded the ceiling and walls today.
* 8:00am - 11:30am - LO and I at his school. This was the final day of me volunteering as proctor of State tests.
* 11:30 - 12:15 home for lunch.
* 12:15 - 3:15 volunteered at LO school raising funds for teachers (snack cart).
I brought a pizza home with me. I needed a break and didn't feel like cooking.

I have 30 minutes to relax before taking LO to a 2 hour sparring session.

Kathryn, that's too funny - Jupiter by Holst is one of the pieces dd16 will be playing at the high school concerto concert Thursday evening!! Concertos are by audition - only 8 seniors get to play. The top-seated instruments get to be in various accompaniments. I think the Holst piece is one that the full symphony orchestra will play just for fun - or for show.

Home from work. Heating up leftovers. Musing over how to organize my day tomorrow. Dd16's small group + a small group of freshmen girls will be sleeping over at our home tomorrow evening. I had no idea it was 2 small groups when I first agreed. . . I'm also not sure if (1) I'm going to my own adult small group meeting tomorrow night at 5-ish (2) I'm going to see the Big U's production of The Music Man with dd19 tomorrow at 8 pm (dh was going to go with her but he'll be out of town) or (3) a combo of 1 and 2. . . .

I'll be leaving here in about an hour to attend the "senior send off" at the (Asian) Christian campus group which my mentee attends (and which our friend S leads). I would like to hear her words of wisdom to the group as a departing senior. . . .I hope not to stay too long. I'm also hoping to snag dh's Big U parking tag before he leaves town.

hello to all! We just got back from The Chicago Botanical Gardens. Dd younger and I had a lovely time and got a nice walk in to boot. We love the Japanese Garden. Dd older went to Madison today for a birthday dinner with some college friends - she was very excited.

I have been keeping an eye on the weather today. Hope no one here is in the way of those storms. We could use some rain here, but not that kind!

It seems like I have had a long, long day today and I feel tired. I wasn't overly busy, just the normal Friday Conga for the weekend. Now with most of the carpet gone I will have more mopping, but it seems to go faster than vacuuming. I also brushed the dogs (outside), got a letter ready for the mail, and gathered all the yarn from different storage spots, put it all together. It is now sorted by color and put into one or two gallon bags. I have some put aside for a few projects I want to do, the rest will be put in shoe boxes in one closet so it's all together.

Yesterday we did a much needed grocery run at W-M. It took us over two hours in the store, our buggy was full and when we got home and unloaded the car it covered the whole dining room table! I think we are all set for a few weeks now!

Time to settle down for the evening. Sending feel better wishes to everyone not feeling well. Waving to all!

Happy Birthday to your ddolder, blessed. Were there tiny trees in the Japanese garden, or am I stereotyping? Bonsai is all I know about Japanese gardening.

Well, this has become a FAAABULOUUUS Friday because we have welcomed our dear granddaughter home. I held her and later fed her a tiny hospital-sized bottle of breast milk saved from the time she wasn't allowed to drink. Freeing up ddil and ds to get things out of the camper (it's not an RV - I've been saying it wrong. It seems so large to me and has open-out areas, but it pulls behind the truck).

She was very active this evening and alert, stretching right out of her blanket to free her toes and fingers, lol.

Dd16 just had to become my green-eyed boy's pal and take over with him because I was pretty much under the baby. But he doesn't show any signs of rivalry yet. He has never yet gotten his pronouns right and continues calling his baby sister "he".

Lazy evening.

Still trying to wear myself down enough to order the tiles from Costco. It will take 2 weeks for them to come in and it would be cheaper to buy them in the store but they are out of stock and it is tricky to know when the store will have stock again (27K units are arriving at the end of the month but have to be sent to stores across Canada.) I pay $120 more to have them ordered but that includes delivery. IKEA is cheaper but only if I go with grey and I think I want the illusion of wood.

Hockey game is going badly. Although just this moment, as I typed that, my team tied the game with 6 minutes left.
