Sorry, Dee, should have explained it was in H&F. The End of Dieting. I couldn't log in to the library online - probably need their assistance to set up my account? - but I've made a note to ck out the local branch library tomorrow and see if I can get the book.

I went online and ordered a death certificate for dh's grandfather who died in 1939. Same place as I found the death certificate for his great grandmother - funny that they died within two weeks of each other, mother and adult son.

I also watered and fertilized some of my plants outside. I deadheaded geraniums on the front porch but didn't want to go out in the back yard to deadhead by the fire pit while we were getting thunder.

One of the reasons I have trouble getting much done these days is that dkids seem underfoot in the afternoon so much. Dd is making pesto and ds talking. DD and I discussed cleaning her room and that's on for tomorrow....so I need to try to change my body work appointment for the middle of the day tomorrow. She wants me to go with her also to look at desert hiking boots tomorrow so I may make her go along for some of my errands.

-move laundry over, fold lol from dryer and put away
-text massage therapist about appt tomorrow and reschedule
-print a couple of photos of dMacs for PT and find a card to send her...
-empty beach bag (from trip) and straighten up laundry room, move beach bag to garage
-clear kitchen counters and reload dishwasher (dkids just emptied it for me, thank goodness.

Napped for at least 90 minutes.

Dh and I had leftover pizza for dinner and watched a tv show. Off for frozen yoghurt now and to pick up milk at the grocery store.

Registered my FroyoNation card before leaving and am now 6/50ths of the way to a free yoghurt! (Plus I get a free one on my birthday.) Not sure this is worthwhile since it means we each have to spend $45 this year on yoghurt and mine was $1.80 tonight! On the other hand, if we go weekly (plus a few extra times or treat one of the kids, we'll get there before the cold weather returns.)

The free one is really $5 towards a frozen yoghurt on my birthday so we can treat each other and still 'go wild' rather than have just enough to satiate us (usually, combined, our order is well under $5.) Dh moved his birthday to June 30 since his December birthday isn't really conducive to craving frozen yoghurt!

I've made my steps for the day. Still have to wash up the dishes so that will add a few steps. Then I'll do my physio.

Kathryn, sure hope they're able to stop that guy who got your dsis. Maybe someone else will report him?

I hope Cathy is feeling better, maybe the hospital had some other solution for her. I have occasional dizziness as a side effect from one of my meds. But it's not bad and just once in a while. I wonder what's causing yours.

Another busy day. I was knee deep in papers when DH called to pick up stuff and bring that and an otc pain killer to jobsite. Well, the place didn't have what he needed but I did take the al eve down to him. On the way back I dropped books in the library bin and I got groceries. All fruits and veggies and healthy stuff like vegetarian soup and beans.

Half the afternoon was spent on the phone trying to get helper's dr. appointment scheduled. The person who needs to do it hasn't called back after numerous calls and that is so frustrating.

2nd half of the afternoon was getting ready and going to a family graduation here. DH's nephew graduated from a "special" school program in our county that is part of a national program. It was so interesting and different from any other graduation I'd ever been to. This program is for those they target as too far behind to graduate, or those with other motivation problems, or those probably going to drop out, or pregnant teens. 4 of the students stood up and told their stories. It sounded like all of them were so grateful for the specialized help they got that allowed them to graduate... and their stories were told very tearfully. Nephew's problem was that he was so far behind (no motivation) and probably going to drop out... and we're all thrilled that he made it through.

He and his girlfriend, my sisilaw, my dsmil, and DH and I went out to dinner afterwards...to a buffet restaurant...where I tried to behave and not overeat. Nephew has little support in his life, so I'm glad we were able to make it to swell the numbers there to help him celebrate.

Phew! It's been a long day, I see an early bedtime coming.

Harmony, that's a great family gathering, including the cheerful reason.

I have also waited on a telephone call - no, two - all day long. At 6:15 call came in with just the phone number showing and it was one of them but as soon as we picked up, they hung up. Sigh. Didn't even get to the answering machine moment. I really needed to hear from that office. I called back immediately but of course all you get is their machine with hours, etc. I scolded a little in a message, saying I got to the phone as quickly as I could ... but no one will care. Its' all put off another day. Too bad for me.

Oh, kudos, however, to dr who quickly responded to my call about the breast pain, first thing this a.m. She was very reassuring and says (what I sort of knew) breast pain is not considered an alarming symptom, just aggravating, and can still appear in menopause.

Errands for church this afternoon. Some church Desk Day. Also relaying messages between members I happened to contact, hoping for smooth communication.

Harriet's phone call reminds me that I have to call and book my mammogram. They called on Friday but I was away. Dh sent me an email but I didn't have time to call from there and was dealing with work stuff on Monday morning.

Today I spent the whole day on the apartment doing cleaning. It is nice to get it more clean. The oven self-clean is ineffective but it looks better, just not perfect. I actually had to do a lot of work with an SOS pad to get the window and other parts clean. My old oven took care of all of that. I will also be sure to do the self-clean every 6 months from this point onwards since it obviously can't wait too long.

CM and CF called to chat. They want to see us on Sunday but I'm avoiding going to church since it is a long drive and we don't need to be out there for the retirement home. Still need to drop something off at the minister's house since I won't be there. May try our walking distance local church again or perhaps one of the other local churches we can bike to. (There are 5 within biking distance, possibly 7 if you count the ones on the other side of the river. No wonder our denomination is in trouble with too many congregations!)
